Sorry bro, after the C19 lies the democrats never acknowledged or apologized for they have forever become the party of institutionalized deceit with full MSM support. Quite rich to see these articles and claims now; where was this journalistic fervor 6 months ago when our president was brainless and his staff using an auto-pen to issue EOs and pardons?4 points

rich. where were you when the Biden administration changed the working definition of a recession in 2022? "With expectations of low or even negative growth for the first two quarters of 2022, President Biden’s Council of Economic Advisers has been trying to blunt the news by disavowing this textbook definition" https://www.wsj.com/articles/redefining-the-r-word-recession-biden-economy-advisers-gdp-nber-semantics-poltics-gramm-rudman-hollings-11658951723 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-07-25/biden-team-s-take-on-technical-recession-it-s-not-a-real-one3 points

Indeed. Weaponizing the IRS against the Tea Party; the FBI against Trump and his associates - to include lying to a judge to obtain a bogus warrant (and getting a admin wrist slap, not disbarment for the individual), turning the NSC against a sitting President to impeach him over a pretty benign conversation, literally lying about the provenance of Hunter's laptop to skew the election, turning DoD against service members over an experimental COVID vaccine, having the Chairman, JCS, go outside the chain of command, to include potential adversaries, never mind non-chain politicians, etc, etc, et-bloody-cetera does tend to have follow-on effects. Them's the rules now...fight's on.2 points

An illegal alien from El Salvador, who shouldn’t have been here in the first place, got deported back to El Salvador. Am I supposed to be upset?2 points

My parents used legal immigrants from Mexico to harvest on their farm. How do I know they were legal...the verification responsibility was on my parents not the government and they faced VERY harsh fines if the government discovered an illegal working on our farm. The government showed up a few times each year to verify everyone. I remember them coming one time and a dude took off running through the field to get away. It wasn't like an ICE raid, they were just coming to check my parents books and copies of SSNs and I-9's. Turned out this guy had stolen someone's identity (shocking I know). As far as work ethic...I would say mostly, but it depends. You noted them running through the fields to pick fruit. They had two methods of being paid, one was what we called "Set Piece" meaning they got a ticket for every bucket they harvested and each ticket was worth a certain amount of money. They would indeed run through the field and try to get as many tickets as possible. Yes they could make more money but in their haste they were hard on the fruit and the plants. The second method was simple pay per hour...they would dramatically slow down under that method. Regardless, it was hard work and I worked alongside them. I hated summers the most, we grew summer squash and the pickers would dump their buckets into 60 pound wooden crates on the ground. When they were done someone would drive a flatbed along the row and I would lift those crates onto the flatbed while someone else stacked them...hundreds of crates every day. It was a relief when football practice started, I was already in superb shape and I found practice easier than working on the farm.2 points

She was terrible, but even an S-tier Press Secretary would've looked terrible trying to spin the previous administration's nonsense, especially towards the end as the wheels were coming off. Psaki was objectively better at the job, but she still had a rough time trying to defend the same administration. I don't think Robert Gibbs or Ari Fleischer could've looked good defending the Biden administration.2 points

First, I’m cranky that we have activist judges stopping the law from being enforced in the first place. Biden, or whoever was really in charge the last few years, knew this all too well…that it would be difficult deport all these illegal aliens. We should really be asking why the last administration so easily allows them to come here?1 point

No, you're supposed to be cranky that the US gov is shitting on due process.1 point

Consider if you go down this road and get hired by the ANG unit you are probably pushing your UPT date back considerably. I would also talk with your SQ/CC and tell him the whole story, see what he says. That conversation will tell you if pressing forward with the ANG application will be burning bridges or not. I don’t think you’re wrong to be considering this, but if you try to go this route and keep it a secret from your current unit, that can backfire hugely.1 point

I’m sorry, but if you are honestly afraid that Trump will attempt another 4 years you need serious mental help. There is no way in hades that POTUS convinces 2/3rds of each chamber, and 3/4ths of the states to ratify or amend the 22nd amendment as outlined in Article V of the Constitution. Never going to happen no matter how often the cnn and msnbc numbnuts stir the pot or bloviator-in-chief talks about it..1 point

If it takes you two days to install a washer (instead of an hour) then you probably are an airline pilot 😂🤣. I'll take the two day trip *and* install the washer better than the minimum-wage delivery guy Lowe's sends.1 point

@chase Never saw specific targets and their locations, units, callsigns, comm plan, routing, AR track locations, CAP locations, etc. I will retract my statement if those were indeed released (absolutely could have missed it). And as previously stated, this is not support of what was put in signal, but merely caging reality vs. hyperbole.1 point

Reference the above graph... Amid Trump Crackdown, Illegal Border Crossings Plunge to Levels Not Seen in Decades Washington — The number of migrants crossing the U.S. southern border illegally in President Trump's first full month in office plunged to a level not seen in at least 25 years, according to preliminary government data obtained by CBS News. Last month, Border Patrol recorded about 8,450 apprehensions of migrants who crossed into the country unlawfully between official entry points along the U.S.-Mexico border, the statistics show. On some days during a record spike in illegal crossings under the Biden administration, Border Patrol recorded more than 8,000 apprehensions in a single day. In January, Border Patrol agents at the Mexican border recorded 29,000 apprehensions, down 38% from 47,000 in December. The drop from January to February was even more pronounced, amounting to a roughly 70% decrease... (Full story at title link)1 point

CNN article on a T-38 doing 350mph (typo?) at 800' near Reagan and tripping an RA on a Delta takeoff. https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/28/us/delta-military-jet-close-call-dca/index.html-1 points

But it is an event, it made the news. One would think DCA would be changing their ways. Same goes for those that operate in that space. Saying this is a non event is only done with hindsight. Delta thought it was event in the moment. You think Delta was thinking, "Hey Bob, an RA. Must be those fighter boys doing a run in to Arlington. We'll be fine, no worries." 300Kts at 800' thru class B is another gem. Either someone approved that plan or the 38s flew faster than planned, likely with DCA approval. So someone is gonna get the beak for that item (approval authority or pilots/DCA controllers). I was there a few weeks back. They are still packing planes in there with tight spacing and thus resulting in go arounds. And that is with EDCTs. I agree, a few minute ground stop would have easily prevented this.-1 points
