Dude, you can tell people you’re working for the bobs and they want the info…you don’t need to make up some story how you’re just a curious random civilian, who just joined the forum within the last week…and your first post is about what we all think about retention, readiness, and the political leadership.3 points

Aviation enthusiast? Your name makes you sound like getting pegged is your enthusiasm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Sir! Mission readiness, retention, and the political leadership are PRETTY DARN GOOD…SIR! 🫡1 point

I think I speak for just about everyone here when I say that your first post is not what an aviation enthusiast would first ask. Political leadership first question because you’re an aviation enthusiast?—really? We’ll moderate the content for the time being.1 point

After the Billions of Dollars we invested in their counter offensive !? You are damn right we get a vote on the means to the outcome be it negotiations or other tools of foreign policy.1 point

Shit... cover blown.... Nah fr tho I'm just an aviation enthusiast and found this forum and liked the community. Then I browsed a little bit and noticed the opinions kind of match this video I remember seeing.😅. Sorry. I should have made my first post be a "what are my chances? I haven't taken the AFOQT yet." Like another clueless person on here And who are the bobs?1 point

Come on now man, you can’t really blame someone for wanting to pretend the flew helos.1 point

I mean, yeah dawg, welcome to BaseOps…spend some time reading the different topics on here and you’ll see it’s basically summed up in this video.1 point

Just go out on a witch hunt in order to give out an Article 15…oh wait, you don’t have that authority. Air Force got something right. By the way, are you aware of any commander who made a list of people who weren’t wearing masks when ordered, and then when the vaccine became mandatory, checked it against IMR status?…and then gave out Article 15 to said members? If you wanted and were willing to do something so draconian that not even a handful of actual commanders carried out, well, then like I said…the Air Force actually got something right.1 point

You’ll what? Make us want to retire? Palace Chase? Just plain separate? Good deal.1 point

In that regard we are in complete agreement. I've made it clear that I was not for any form of mandate with this particular vaccine. But that is different than supporting or otherwise spreading an objectively flawed claim about the vaccine impact. The person who is discrediting the false claim is not also obligated to make any further accurate claims. Creating a justification for a mandate is a separate issue with its own requirements. What you said is: "If you want to "debunk the conspiracy" then we'd need to know the number of miscarriages in a non-vaccinated control group compared against the number in the vaccine group, then curate for other factors (lifestyle risk choices, age, overall health, etc.). This should be easy to debunk given that data exists, I wonder why that wasn't part of your article?" That's not true. All that is needed to debunk the conspiracy is to discredit the evidence presented for the conspiracy. This is like the people currently claiming that some fuzzy video footage and unexplained lights are evidence of aliens and unless you can specifically prove that the lights in those videos weren't aliens, then the baseline assumption must be that it was in fact aliens.1 point

Correct. I forwarded to our resident AFSOC Stolen Valor hunter and he is on the case. Thus far there is no record of Robert or Roberta.1 point

People are mad about more than one thing - mandates, wasteful spending intended to buy votes, pushing a questionable vaccine and virtue signaling via mask/jab/lockdown/etc. You act like there can only be one chief complaint about the Covid overreaction - if people are complaining about C19 stimulus #3 then they can’t be mad about mask or vaccine mandates. They’re actually ALL problematic. Correct, this eventually became tribe warfare as one side aligned with mandates and printing money, the other with “conspiracy theories” and refusal follow guidelines…cuz ‘Murica! Thank our asshat politicians for the virtue signaling. I will say this - three years later, the arguments of one side aged disproportionately better. 2020 conspiracy theories (possibility of lab leak, questioning vaccine efficacy numbers, questioning vaccine side-effects) are now mainstream concerns. Belief that the vaccine would actually be 99% effective, claims that your shitty cloth alma mater mask actually did any good, pushing a booster shot every few months…yeah, those didn’t age well. Needless to say, they’re still the morons masking up outside or alone in their cars. We know who the lemmings are.1 point

Yeah, it's strange. The average citizen and even some veterans wouldn't bat an eye with a 'yeah, i'm a retired f-16 pilot, colonel type, you're welcome for my service'. Instead she said shes part of super small niche community on top of the 16 pilot bit 🙂1 point

Injured in AFG flying Pave Lows (while commanding their detachment) as an O6 female in the 2001-2004 timeframe? Nope.1 point

I know this is a troll account, but the lack of pilot-centric FGOs does have second and third order effects that ripple throughout the enterprise. In my little corner of the Air Force, we claim to hire the "best" and "most experienced" pilots because, after all, we are "AMCs only Selectively Manned Unit." In the last 2ish years, that I've paid attention to, our hiring boards went from 1-2 O-3's now to the inverse. This next hiring board has 1 O-5, 4 O-4s, and about 20 O-3s. The dynamic has changed, the experience level has drastically changed, but we claim "perfection is our standard" has not changed (oh yea, they dropped the hours requirement significantly to apply). So, we will continue to get our nuts crushed by WHMO (waves at Rainman) by an institutional issue because nobody wants to call a spade, a spade. Big Air Force might not value retention of skilled aviators but, I am going to laugh when it bites them because it starts causing major inconveniences to our Top 5 customers. My only regret is the people who set up the house of cards will never see justice for their mismanagement...and some poor CGO is going to buy a Q3'd for something silly that delayed a mission and they were never taught.1 point

I find this difficult to believe. Also, @JimNtexas did you a big favor when he asked you that question. It will be asked of you again, in some form, should you get an interview, and I’d recommend you start working on your answer, because here’s your issue…We don’t give a shit where you see yourself. You are hoping that those interviewing you see you in a fighter. See the difference? How much longer do you have on your ADSC? Are you applying to the AD UPT board as well?1 point

Some epic idiocy/trolling here. But I'll bite, because this is the Internet! --You claim "we" should negotiate to give up some of Ukraine. Do you think maybe the Ukrainians should decide whether or not they want THEIR country? They seem pretty willing to fight for it. --You seem to think the nation that took massive casualties, is resorting to Iranian and North Korean weapons, has a ton of sanctions, had their most effective PMC mutiny, and is at a defensive stalemate on the battlefield is stronger now? 😂 You can debate how much money/arms the US should provide. That's valid. What you are doing is a mockery of intelligent questioning.-1 points

Some of you def seem pretty obsessed with going to war with Russia. Every single questioning post on the wisdom of our current, obviously less than optimal, strategy and people claim someone’s a Putin stooge or Russian bot. I don’t see any benefit of continuing the current strategy. We’re destabilizing current alliances, risking an escalated war, fostering the complete destruction of a sovereign nation, exacerbating our own financial crisis, and strengthening the alliance between our worlds current primary threat and Russia. Maybe the world new sources are all bought and paid for and Russia really is about to collapse. I’d love to see our strategy actually work for our benefit, but the most obvious endgame doesn’t appear to benefit anyone. I hope they (all the news outside of the US) are wrong and Ukraine wins.-1 points

god damn right. support comes with a price. we don't let ukraine dictate the national security policy of the united states. a country which before the invasion was touted as the most corrupt in europe. but i bet they're squeaky clean now! and absolutely NO connection to the biden crime family!-2 points

ukraine is losing. there is no way they are able to defeat the russian bear. which might set us up for a hot war with russia....something the elites want...and something that a few of you on here jerk off to-4 points
