I am working on my post-VSP pipe dream. I have been talking to Cameron-Brooks and trying to separate the sales pitch from reality. I think I heard the guy salivating over his commission already. Has anyone had any luck breaking into the finance or consulting industries in Chicago, New York, Boston, etc? Any constructive advice or contacts would be appreciate. Stats for reference: Did well at the Zoo, the AF (multiple strats, awards), and MBA (4.0, Brick and Mortar, but not top tier). Just a simple What are my chances? question for the real world. Thanks.

Got an email today saying I have to fill out some certification in order to comply with some federal clean air act section 69b. My vehicle is registered in Florida, where no smog/emissions test is required. The FAQ in the email says you still have to fill out the form if you register your vehicle in a state that does not require testing. I answered truthfully (no tests done on my vehicles), and then got an email saying I have 30 days to have my cars checked. WTFO

So my personnel record in the Air Force dates all the way back to 1999. But now for some reason, according to the AF, I don't have any proof that I am a US citizen and I have to track down an original copy of my birth certificate or I get derported I guess. BTW, my family came over from Scotland in the 1700s and I never left the US until I was 21. Pretty impressive even for the MPF if you ask me. Anybody else have this problem.

Taking odds on just how badly the Air Force will water down the coming fad that will be 360 leadership. Given all the recent press about GO/FO misconduct and mistreatment there is a lot of chatter about 360 leadership coming to a base near you. I predict it will be an epic fail unless the real seniors put some teeth in it. 360 Leadership is supposed to be feedback that comes from members of an employee's immediate work circle. Last night while atop a 5 story building over looking downtown Wilmington, NC, I was outside holding the lady (because its December and its cold as fu(king Alaska...) Does anyone know a good place to buy them? I've been looking all over the internet and they are pretty expensive for the type I'm looking for. One of my buddies found a place that sells "imperfect" boxes for ridiculously cheap, but he can't remember the site anymore. He bought five of them and they all looked perfect.

I have a cousin there and she said text, email, and Facebook alerts were sent out to students about shots being fired on campus. It started outside of one of the dining halls and a police officer was shot dead. One suspect has been apprehended but another is at large. More gunshots are being reported near a drillfield near the center of the campus as another person has been pronounced dead. Supposedly it was just a routine traffic stop that started this.
