  1. nsplayer I think Rat made a pertinent point in his post, probably not his main point, but a good one - Republicans aren't championing the Proud Boys and whatever other loons claim to be "conservatives/right/republicans. Democrats are championing Antifa rioting, white priveledge, "white men need to be dealt with," Black Lives Matter, the people who can't understand the biology of gender, etc. Democrats are championing that crazy ass shit. That's the difference. And its driving a wedge. If you came at me with an argument about abortion, gun control, or climate change, I'd engage. But for whatever reason in the past 5 years the Democrats have wholesale endorsed the craziest shit that their people at the wildest margins could dream up. To be completely fair, Republicans have fucked up politically so bad since the age I could vote, its embarrasing. That aside, they aren't championing the marginal "wing" positions. The Democrats definitely are.

  2. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I want Trump to go away. Sleeping with a porn star while married but BEFORE you are President, is morally wrong but obviously is not a crime. Just like Clinton having sex in the Oval Office or the long series of trysts Kennedy had WHILE President (including a movie star, a spy and a girl very closely connected to the MOB). Abhorrent non-Presidential behavior, but not a crime (Clinton was brought on charges for lying about it). In your words you said he paid her off with "campaign funds", that is simply not true. The allegation in the indictment is business fraud because he re-categorized business funds and changed the accounting entries. As has been pointed out by BOTH sides, this is only a crime where there an intent to defraud (use those books to raise or borrow money), AND if that was true it is a misdemeanor with a two year statue of limitations. Please look beyond the narrative at the facts, that is what DA should do but as you point out they have political allegiances and they use their position to shape, influence and ultimately charge.

  3. I didn't insinuate anything. I made a statement. I agree that both sides should be prosecuted if guilty of crimes. We haven't seen anything on Biden or his son, Nancy Pelosi's infamous insider trading, or anything on Hillary Clinton pushed forward. Didn't we have a former President of the democratic variety lie under oath about an affair while in office? Is that not worse than what the Left is seeking to currently prosecute Trump for? The Left is doing this to defeat their political counterparts is what I am saying, they are not doing it out of some morale high ground.

  4. Osama Bin Laden is laughin in his grave. Did he win with 9/11? We seemed to get along better as Americans before 9/11 and now we're arguing about sending an ex president to jail because he banged a porn star and our current president reminds me of a Leslie Nielsen character. It's finally here, we've turned into the movie Idiocracy. America, It's got what plants crave.

  6. Awesome! Agreed, let's do it! 1. Arrest Hillary immediately and charge her with mishandling national security secrets. 2. Arrest Hillary a second time and charge her with election interference through fraud for the dossier. 2. Arrest Hunter immediately and charge him with a federal gun crime for illegally obtaining a gun. 3. Appoint a special prosecutor to investigate payments from China to the Biden family. 4. Appoint a special prosecutor to investigate payment from Ukraine to the Biden family, including 10% for the big guy.

  7. With a straight face you type that nonsense? How am I choosing to do otherwise...by voicing an opinion? It is YOUR side that is burning it down at every turn. I said when the GOP is in power they will do the same thing out of retribution. Your side is doing it with glee and you want to lecture me on how the GOP should "not" do the same when they are in power...that is truly rich my brother...rich! Who said Civil War...oh wait, you did! I am not calling for Civil War, I didn't say burn it down...I said democracy is dead...when one political party weaponizes MANY government institutions to go after the other party...democracy is DEAD and that is exactly what the DNC has done on multiple occasions. A lot of people have worked to perfect our system but under this current administration they are swimming upstream. You seem so willing to gloss over all that your party is doing to tear down this country. Look at the committee investigating the weaponization of the government...please tell me you don't think it is ok that the IRS visited a witnesses' house WHILE HE WAS TESTIFYING.

  8. People who do crimes should face justice and be arraigned, tried and convicted as necessary. Anyone and everyone. This goes for murdering little children at school, shooting a rival gang member, running over protesters with you car, looting during a riot, being an insurrectionist & storming the seat of government, being a member of Congress who unjustly profits off their positions, or being a former Presidents who seemingly broke quite a few laws in numerous and colorful ways. No one is above the law.

  9. Agree with all of the above. The right should get on all of that and prosecute away. I mean it. Every single one of them belongs in jail. But the fact that the right is currently behind the ball does not make trump's prosecution invalid. Only the jury will decide that.

  11. There is no actual evidence that Orange man did the deed with this attention whore. Many famous/wealthy people use "hush" money to silence noisy claims of wrong doing - some of it real, and some not. I hope Stormy (not her real name, lol) can make enough money to pay for the security she will need for the next ten or twenty years. Please remember folks, this is all about the drama and emotion to get you to watch - and it's working.

  12. “You guys,” dude just knock that shit off. Probably 99% of us all agree assholes who break the law (especially politicians wielding power) should go down. We all need to stop this “you guys” shit, and yeah, I’m just as guilty as the rest of you. However, knocking that off also includes not being obtuse and ignoring blatant facts, whether those facts are “friendly” to your preferred party/candidates or not. As I read various statements made about this trump situation, it’s very clear nobody wants the guy protected, they just want the law universally applied, and correctly; that factually has not occurred. That’s the issue, not guys wanting Trump to get away with things. Though I think we all agree on applying the law universally, the specific problem here is some purposely stick there fingers in the ears and scream “la la la la la” when the lopsided application of law is highlighted.

  13. Sure, let’s do those things. You don’t realize WE DON’T CARE about protecting people like this, that’s you guys with your false equivalencies.

  14. It’s funny how in one breath you guys say “we aren’t advocating civil war” and then you advocate what is effectively civil war. Remember, there are more democrats in Texas than there are Republicans in most states. Vice versa for Republicans in California. Anyone who calls for state secession or a national divorce is either blindingly ignorant or willfully malicious, and you are the opposite of a patriot. Also, it’s rich coming from ”the party of Lincoln.”

  15. I rarely agree with you but this is about the smartest thing ever said on this forum and I 100% agree with you. The political party is not there to represent your "morals" or your "values." The political party exist to garner power. They will take a shit on your morals and values in a heart beat once what realize doing so might get them .3% more of the electorate.

  16. You didn't break any rules about arguing on the internet. There aren't any. I agree with a lot of your posts, but you've been had, as has most every human. There are also no rules in politics. Not a single politician gives a shit about you. The sooner you realize that, the better off you are. Republicans don't give a shit about you. Independents don't give a shit about you or HeloDude. Democrats don't give a shit about Prozac or nsplayer. They care about two things: wealth and power. Aristotle supposedly figured this out a while back, I'm not sure why we're still stumped by this.

  17. You don’t get to start paying attention but just with the other political side. If attorney generals wanted to actually make an argument hey we’re attempting to impartially apply judicial action where it was appropriate but neglected due to political connection, they would start with their own party. Then they’d have a leg to stand on that this isn’t politically motivated. We aren’t seeing that, so don’t try and sell it for them like as soon as we get done with this we will move on to the massive publicly visible nonsense they are ignoring in the meantime. Just for example You have the son of the president dead to rights on everything from drug possession to federal firearms violations. But we won’t see that action by the justice department likely ever. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  18. Democracy and keeping our institutions strong is a choice. And you’re actively choosing to do otherwise it seems. Again, it’s not the (few) Dems or more liberal people here on this forum calling for a civil war, saying “there will be retribution,” saying democracy is dead, etc. At least not me that I remember. Recently it’s very, very frequently been the GOP/right/whatever folks. You do know it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy to say “democracy is dead” and then kill it on purpose when you win the next election, right? Same goes for “government is bad.” Damndest thing, that comes true when the party that believes that takes power and then deliberately runs things poorly! How about, and this might sound crazy, we *not* do that? Just spitballing here… Stop calling for a civil war, stop saying democracy is dead, stop choosing retribution and revenge fantasies rather than keeping our country strong. Many of us are currently serving and it’s frankly shameful to want to tear down the very government you are a part of and trash the institutions and values we should be protecting. The country is imperfect, copy. Work to perfect it then! Same message BTW for the radical leftists who are stridently opposed to the American system of government and our way of life. F them and F anyone on any side who wants to burn it all down and start again; that does not turn out well.

  20. Lol is the insinuation here that trump is squeaky clean and this is nothing but a baseless witch hunt? Like a KGB style targeting of a political dissident? It's a fun narrative for the right to rally around for sure. Except it doesn't jive with reality. Reality is that trump has likely been getting away with crap his entire life due to money, power, and status. His, Biden, and Pence's classified document debacles would be enough to land any of us normies in prison for a long time. But of course none of them will face consequences for that blatant recklessness. Personally I'm glad the left opened this door. Hopefully the right retaliates and prosecutes crimes committed by prominent leftists. As long as the prosecutions have solid evidence, more politicians going to jail on both sides is an extremely good thing. I cannot think of a single group of people who deserve it more.

  26. Much like California being a great place except for alot of the Californians, I see the same thing in the church. There are a ton of Christians that miss the forest for the trees and use certain verses as a cudgel to push shitty ideology. My brother was a drug addict that literally nearly killed me as a baby and would have killed himself if not for our churches youth pastor, pastor, and my dad (no shit talked him off a literal ledge with a gun in his hand). They got him in recovery, helped him along the way, and he became a very successful person. He also relapsed twice and the church family helped him. Conversely, I know families where the parents divorce and they are excommunicated from the church. I don’t want to get into a dogmatic argument about all of that, but that kind of thing does more damage to the church than damn near anything.

  27. What Lloyd said. The church was our society’s meeting place and source of morals and values (specifically the ones that transcend religion). Now social media and the MSM has replaced the church, both packed with anti-family and anti-moral garbage. And there in lies Pandora’s box - were never going back from SM (which is probably the worst thing to have ever happened to us in the modern era). So the only course correct now is parents need to sack up and actually work at maintaining a stable family and raising their kids correctly. They need to also help their local communities do this by being involved/aware about school issues. All the millions of people who hate all the BS going on, but are too big of pussies to stand up and say/do something, need to sack up and stop being weak candy asses. Some of you reading this right now are those pussies, I guarantee it. Do some introspection, then get off your asses and do something about the BS. How can you be willing to get in a gun fight, but you won’t speak at school board meetings? Why aren’t you or your spouse running for school board, city council, etc? Why do you complain to your neighbor over beers about all the trans mental health issues being pushed on kids, but you say nothing about your kids “celebrate trans or you’re a bigot” homework? If these describe you, even indirectly, you’re fucking up. But the good part is you can recognize it, and fix it.

  28. The church community gives our society a lot more than just religion. I see that in my family. My wife needed a circle of friends after our last move. She found that in our church’s small groups and their women’s group. It is where we go to spend time with people that hold our same values even if we aren’t in the same place in our religious journey. And that ties directly into the war on the nuclear family. Families used to spend time together in church. It is a place to grow together, to learn together and to work in service towards others together. Most families don’t even eat together anymore. There is absolutely no doubt that our society would be in a much better place if more people were involved in church. Not just sitting through service on Sunday but involved in church even if it’s not solely for religious reasons.

  30. Ahhhh yes...because rpa pilots gave themselves that name. I forgot that RPA pilots run the USAF. I also didn't present an argument or recommendation for either side. I simply pointed out that it doesn't make sense to recommend a name change from pilot to operator if you're going to keep the rpa designation in front of the word operator.

  33. There’s a third possibility: don’t play the game with each other at all (national divorce). Sounds outlandish, I know, but you’re telling a significant portion of voters an admittedly unfair system will never allow them to vote for their candidate and will continue faux legal maneuvers to subvert the democratic process. The game is rigged against them and it’s their fault they are too dumb to avoid being cheated. Why would anybody willingly continue in that system? I’m amazed how Americans who can dispassionately assess political events overseas seem completely incapable of applying equally objective analysis to events in our own country. NS repeating the talking point that “no one is above the law.” False, several people are obviously above the law and we no longer live in a free country. The FBI has evidence of Biden family crimes kept them under wraps for years (anyone who has seen the laptop reporting realizes there are major crimes clearly documented therein). Russian collusion scandal was a crime. Even Comey said Hillary committed crimes with classified documents but “no reasonable prosecutor” would pursue charges. WTF? The Director of the FBI literally stated he knew Clinton committed crimes, but did not think anybody would prosecute them so he wouldn’t try. Sorry NS, you are wrong, we live in a country where people of a certain political persuasion are above the law. It is obviously corrupt and obviously unsustainable. You can try to paint facts different than they are, but you are not convincing.

  35. Campaign finance laws...interesting given that Hillary ACTUALLY did commit campaign finance laws and was simply fined for it. The strawman theory this DA clown came up with...at least we think because the indictment with 34 felonies doesn't actually articulate the felony part...is that by paying off a woman he had sex with, he some how defrauded the voter. Quick question my friend, if Hillary paid for a FAKE dossier, didn't she in fact defraud the voter and the system with false information? Why wasn't she perp walked in front of a judge...? You mean the ole' legal system that Hilary faced for having a crap ton of TS SAR/SAP on her private server? GMAFB. The Dems have open Pandora's box, just like they did with the nuclear option in the senate and there WILL be retribution which the GOP regains power. Democracy as we know it in this country is dead, we had a good run but the Dems drove a spike through it today.

  37. This is false. If you commit crimes, no matter who you are, you should face appropriate justice. Jaywalking, come the F on. Any of the other stuff I’ve talked about recently, yea, if you do crimes you should face the justice system regardless of who you are or who you vote for. If you think the law has been applied unevenly in the past, you are right! I agree with you! So let’s apply it correctly now.

  38. It's like you guys just discovered that district attorneys are politically connected people with allegiances and enemies.. Welcome to politics.. and reality. Sorry your guy was stupid enough to pay off a pornstar with campaign funds in state that hates his guts. Maybe do it in the backwoods of Alabama next time. Are you seriously telling me right now If republicans had Hillary dead to rights on some petty charge in a red state they wouldn't prosecute?? Because norms? Its so funny, you guys talk all about "playing the game" in your AF career but it's mind boggling for a political party "play the game" and break norms when it suits them. **Spoiler alert** everyone in politics breaks norms when it suits them.. and bitches about the other party breaking norms when it suits them. It's just one big tit-for-tat game. It's never been fair. And it never will be. So you have two COAs: 1) continue complaining about the game not being fair 2) cut your losses, play smarter, and avoid hitching your wagon to orange clowns who make unforced political errors like it's a bodily function.
