Slife is one of two in AFOSC that provide slamdunk proof the supposed USAF interest in climate and culture is nothing but lip service.

He is a well known narcissistic megalomaniac.  Many believe he is on the spectrum and it manifests in the way he treats people including his wife.  At a commander's event at his house his wife said something he didn't like so he took her down the hall and verbally ripped her in a tone and volume that the officers under his command could clearly hear.  I should be shocked that nothing came of that...but alas I am not given the dysfunction in AFSOC.

His command philosophy was summed up to me by another three star...when it comes to Jim there are "DOJ's" (Disciples of Jim), and Clydesdale.  If he picks you as a DOJ you will be cared for and protected.  If you are a Clydesdale you are expected to work and pull the wagon until you fall over dead.  On a CSB he argued we should not put Lt Col's on the Eagle list unless they were BPZ...yes his metric for command was being below the zone.  He did it again for the O-6 CSB and argued against making Farrell the OG at Cannon because he was an on time guy and would never be a GO.  For the record Farrell was just nominated for his third star.

There are so many other incidents and stories but it doesn't matter.  Evil prevailed and sadly a lot of damage will be done.

She's just not that into you.

The only fools are the ones who stay. It may suck to be a warrior in a time when warriors are not needed, but it sucks more to be a warrior in an organization that is openly hostile to warriors.

They court martialed Billy Mitchell.  Nothing changes, just the numbers on the calendar.

Probably had nothing to do with the guy being a douche. It’s way easier to say “nobody likes me because everyone is racist.”  Sad part is we’re all going to have to sit through more briefings because people are stupid enough to guzzle down this river of horseshit.

Oldie, but can verify that the dude has always been an arrogant, narcissistic, self serving, attention seeking douchebag that will eff over his peers in a heartbeat to get ahead. Seems like he went to Harvard so now he’s someone else’s problem until he gets picked up for a USD position and joins the ranks of other affirmative action hires that have no business touching anything in our military’s decision making problem.

I thought you didn’t get promoted because of the discovered midget fetish you have? That’s “unbecoming of an officer” (only if you get caught!)

That's a quotable quote. 👍

I laughed a bit at the “top 60% of the top third” line. Admittedly I’m a product of public school and OTS but my math equates that to about the top 20% of total. Which I thought was where we were at already…

Checks...

This came out a few years ago and then there were 3 subsequent article written by a black ENJJPT grad that claims he was targeted for wanting to fly heavies and being black (https://www.airforcetimes.com/opinion/commentary/2020/07/12/the-consequences-of-implicit-bias-at-euro-nato-pilot-training/).

^Author’s personal page. Looks like he’s done very well.

I don’t think there will be any more “white people bad” meetings in the near term as a result of this video.

I aways wondered what became of ol’ Nate. At the time, I never pictured he’d go back and blame the system. When we sent him off to EC-130s, we figured a crew plane was the way to go. I think its hard to blame the system when you really struggled with the T-38 by yourself in the front seat.

Honestly, I was really mad to read an article like that. I flew with a lot of students. None tried to kill me like the way this kid almost did. Sure, blame the system I guess.  I’m glad he did well in an airplane that goes a fraction of the speed of that trainer.

If that story about the check pilot is even remotely true, god help us. If I knew at the time I would have filled an IG complaint myself, against him.  A few black students came through while I was there. Some did great. Some, not so much. The one kid we did (try) to washout was a different kid (read white kid). I think he was recycled to preds or something. Nate was just going through the prog check system like a few kids do. I guess he’ll never see it that way.

Now I’m a racist as well as an ahole.

I thought the point was that the upper, upper echelon got to go to sister service schools for that sweet "joint" experience. Now they want to push those guys back into Air Force schools.

I have a feeling it's just going to result in more declinations until the bottom 50% are the ones at Maxwell.

Probably what they're trying to avoid. I always thought that was a bait and switch where you can go to DARPA or the Willy Wonka factory or whatever else for IDE but still had to do ACSC online to get IDE credit.

I hope they still have guys go to the sister service schools so they can come back and act all superior and speak some filthy Pig Latin about "METT-TC", "MDMP", and "it's not gay if it's underway" and the like.

Oh Nate, he landed a USAFA glider off the airfield, well off the airfield back at the Zoo. Flying has never been his forte, politicking and brown nosing, very much so.

He got ENJJPT because of his GPA, you know because a good GPA correlates to flying fighters or something..

He’s going places though, he has taken full advantage of the intangible opportunities presented to him. Plays the race card like no other.

I still remember (then) Colonel B, the high-calorie human pictured above, coming to an undisclosed location where I was deployed with a retinue of minions. In our TOC there was a plywood box room intel normally used that had our high-side computers.

He commandeered the room for the duration of his stay (sorry intel bubbas!) and one of his lackies put a sign on the door saying, "Do Not Touch Col. B's Giant Computer!"

We all were ROTFL because yea, I mean he's a real big guy, maybe he does need a "giant" computer 😆

Dude's Linkedin is a gem. First five years of his Air Force career is simply listed as "Various Training, Internships, and Educational Experiences." I guess that's one way to put it.
