Read a good article in the Atlantic and wanted to see what the opinion of others was on the idea that we are actually close to another major conflict between the new Great Powers via alliances and waxing / waning influence. Yes, It Could Happen Again Instability in Ukraine, chaos in Syria, conflict in the East China Sea—the trigger points for World War III are in place.

Warning Rambling Story Switch: On Ok so I'm flying my check ride the other day and I'm in the middle of circling to land and the Evaluator asks me, as I'm maneuvering, "what's the obstruction clearance limit for this type aircraft?" There has been a lot of up and down talk but I think its going to happen any day now: 2AS here at no hope is going to cut the squad 50/50 airdrop and airland only...50% would loose their airdrop qual once their currencies run out. Got a question...so right now I have a nice POS daily driver. It still has alot of life in it so I don't want to get rid of it. That being said I also will want to buy a new car (looking at the 09 Camaro) when it comes out. I don't wanna turn this into a save your money type of thread, just curious if its possible to own 2 vehicles... Or say someone has a car they are working on...like an old 60's car...and then they have truck they tow it around with. Is that allowed? Or are you 100% limited to one vehicle on base? TIA

Dudes, Just got picked up for a 365 to Asscrackastan as a "Force Management Advisor". The RIP my commander handed me has no information other than an AFSC, date, and general location. (Afghanistan) Further information discovered that I would be an air advisor at Kabul, and some sort of Air advisor course at McGuire. Anyone done this before that can shed some light on the job? I have not signed the paperwork yet. Any tips from those who have been there as to potential "gotchas", or possible ways to leverage this into an assignment preference? I was just tagged (phone call) for a 179 stateside COVID vax distribution deployment. I was in the process of working a different 179 or 365 PCS. Would the 365 trump the 179 tasking? Im an 11M TIA

Primarily by combat arms users in the army. But doesn't 3M also make some of spongies we as aircrew use? This might be a case to follow if you have hearing loss....
