Is there anyone on here that flies for the 68th or 356th AS (C-5, KSKF)? I've got a few questions I'd like to ask.

This message just got sent out from the shirt and I'm curious from the enlisted perspective if this is really going to change that much? In 14 years I've only known one person to get affected by HYT and she dug her own grave when she lost a stripe and busted to SrA at 11 years which instantly put her over HYT. With the new policies are these the people we should be getting rid of anyways? Are your Airmen ready for HYT changes? I just discovered the trailer for the Korean film R2B (English title "Soar Into the Sun") on the Aviationist. My JASDF buddies were telling me about it; apparently JASDF F-15s were heavily involved in the filming. It tanked at the Japanese box office.

All, I have a somewhat unique question for the board. One of my guys is transitioning from the HH-60 to a T-6 instructor gig. The problem begins with the our schoolhouse. We graduate the school house as an 11-H3E, which is an aircraft commander. When we get to our units, the standard has been an administrative downgrade to a mission co-pilot/first pilot. The problem is that there is really no definition of a first pilot in our 11-2HH60 v1/2/3. The way it is used is that a guy fresh from the school house can act as aircraft commander for non-combat sorties, i.e. he can take it cross-country. This is the first of many problems. So I showed up at my downrange location to start my 365 deployment and the second thing I was told (after "no booze, sex, or porn") was that I was in charge of the Squadron Change of Command. Well, turns out it's not just a change of command. We're deactivating the current squadron and activating a new squadron under a new commander in its place. I tried reaching out to the Wing (located on another base) for guidance and both the Exec shop and the Protocol shop kind of shrugged their shoulders and said they could help if it was just a change of command but they don't know how to deal with a deactivation/activation. I have been unable to access the Aircrew Pubs Library either on .mil computers or at home for several weeks now. This was really nice to be able to access at home since I'm a Guardsman and live away from the Guard Base. Anybody else have this problem? or did they take the site down when we went to iPads?

So I PCS'd overseas, and got an APO address ahead of time from my sponsor. I forwarded all my mail, mailed myself some things and even ordered a few things online to my new address. I had been on station for about 2 weeks (3-4 weeks after I started forwarding), and repeatedly asked the mail clerks why I wasn't getting mail. They just laughed and said it takes a while. After the third week I forced them to examine my box (yeah, I said it), and it turns out the previous owner's name was on it...they changed it and the next day I ended up getting a mailbox full of mail...but none of the stuff I ordered.
