Does anyone know if you have to be a strike/fighter EWO to do a prowler tour? Can you get it if you are an EWO on say an EC-130 or anything else that comes out of randolph?

Does anyone have any advice for a PCS to Europe as far as taking or not taking cars? I heard a rumor that some countries you can take full size vehicles, like trucks and such, and get a premium for them in sale/trade over there. Also does anyone know about how much it cost to take more than the one "allowed" vehicle? I would like to have two vehicles to make it a bit easier for my wife and I to get around when and where we need to. Thanks!

Since informing me of my selection to UPT, it seems I've been placed aside in "the holding pattern." I was pulled off of a deployment so that "someone who is going to be here can gain more experience." Additional ERT's and upcoming TDY's have escaped me for the same, "we need to train new folks." While I thoroughly enjoy being pulled from BattleStaff with my inevitable departure, I'm screaming "WTF! I'm here for 6 more months!" While some LT's in my group were given the, "Thank you for your service, have a nice life...let me know if you need a letter of recommendation," other changes have now felt the ripple effect, bringing me to my point... Does anyone know the method behind the number designations of air forces, wings, groups, etc? There have been wing, such as the 3800th Air Base Wing, that have very large number designations. Where the heck do they come from?

I was getting VFR sectionals at my base ops map room and noticed that they dont carry terminal area charts for class bravo airspace...is there a DOD equivalent that NGA might publish ???

Looking for a PC navigator training simulator that displayed nav data (SCNS) it was used for C-130 Nav refresher back around 1988 to 1990. I also am looking for the SCNS Emulator for PC. Anyone have any information? BC

If you go the 38 route, can you pretty much get a bomber if you know you want one from the get go? It seems to me from the posts on here that bombers aren't the top pick for the majority of 38 guys. My guess would be if you want a bomber, it wouldn't be a prob. I just wanted to ask the question to see if I'm on the right track. Thanks.

Rather than reinvent the wheel, I have a request... I would like a copy of an ejection seat briefing guide that is given to pax. I don't mean the classroom briefing guide that the pilot briefs before the flight, but more what an egress instructor gives a pax during their seat training before the flight.... discussing seat position, canopy jettison, post ejection, etc... Obviously I don't need specifics to a particular kind of jet. I would just like the overall items so that I don't forget to include anything on the one I'm writing, which will be specific to the aircraft I'm working with. Hey folks. So I'm headed to UPT pretty soon and in the meantime I'm trying to plan ahead for the future. I'm an engineer by trade and for the last 10 years have been working in an office. I have no desire to have a full time office/desk gig ever in the future again, and I'm working on getting into some independent consulting (out of my house) on the side after training when I'm not doing Air Force stuff all the time. Just curious what other small businesses traditional reservists/guardsmen have to work on in their free time.
