  1. Past hour
  2. Was it not mishap pilot #1 like every other AF crash?
  3. Today
  4. Do you think it’s normal to publish the name of a pilot that ejected from an aircraft? It’s not. Why do you need to know the pilot’s name?
  5. I wonder why they chose 30/105 over PGMs.. But honestly I feel for the crews having the entire world armchair quarterbacks their engagements and having no idea wtf they're talking about.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Concur...why invite the negative consequences.
  8. Short-Term, I expect volatility from here on out. The major moves have already been made. There may be some more life in the miners in the short term, but those all ballooned up pretty dramatically as well, and the miners won't be safe from an equity recession. Long-term, eventually a bubble is going to pop, at which point I expect the government to step in with eye-watering amounts of stimulus. That'll start phase two of the gold bull run. And if the crypto fairy tale collapses at some point, that'll be even more money shifting back into gold.
  9. Over on main stream media (WSJ) is a 4+ min long vid showing off the planes and people (with nametags) highlighting capes and recent destruction. If my mug was in any of those vids, I'd be livid. Why show who and how?
  10. Last week
  11. Saw another news report that we have planes in El Salvador, wonder if they're flying out of Ilopango. We took an AC-H in there back in the day. Looked like an airplane junkyard where they parked us, tight fit too.
  12. In that first video, the boat was not under way. Was any info given as to why?
  13. It's crazy that we have about 10 billion dollars worth of aircraft sitting stacked together in the open in these areas now days. A couple half brains with 50k worth of drones and equipment could wipe out a squadron of F-35s.
  14. Not when you HOB a prox round.
  15. Great way to clear out the GIUK Gap of submarines in the event of war.
  16. Doss may become an IPT location, depending on how the bids shake out and if they want to do it. IFS as currently designed will go away once the AF shifts completely to the new model.
  17. Damn, water really kills the wow factor of an explosive. Well. Most of them. Next phase?
  18. Contract seaplanes The War ZonePentagon To Contract Fleet Of Seaplanes For The PacificThe lack of an American amphibious aircraft capability has become more glaring as the possibility of a conflict with China looms larger.
  19. Carrying an undocumented immigrant.
  20. Could be two topics. Things appear to be ramping up on both fronts. First the DOW released video of an engagement that is clearly an AC-130J engaging a Narco Boat. The first round is the 105MM and it functions slightly low and aft. You can see a larger area in the center with most of the frag but it has "tails" off to the side which create the smiley face. You will note the sensor immediately offsets (two-shot) and begins engaging with 30MM from the MK-44 Bushmaster. The first 30MM round appears to hit a gas can or something flammable. Another 105MM prox with offset is a direct towards the end. AC-130-Narco_Boat_Strike.mp4 Next we have an engagement against what I would call a semi-submersible carrying drugs, my liberal friends would no doubt call it a fishing submarine. Oh no, it was a double tap... GMI_-_U.S._forces_operating_within_the_USSOUTHCOM_area_of_responsibility_ha..._lJgz6G.mp4 Finally - recent images show what appears to be 5 MC-130Js and 9 CV-22s operating out of Puerto Rico.
  21. I know I’ve asked about precious metals before but holy smokes it’s all (gold, silver, and platinum) been going nuts the past year or two. Au is almost $4,500 an ounce, Ag is $72 an ounce and Pt is over $2,000 an ounce. Since I bought most of my Au and Ag (around 2001-2003) they are both up (Au 1,100% and Ag 1,400%) far exceeding inflation numbers. Platinum has bounced all over but since earlier this year it’s currently up over 100%. Historically precious metals were mainly a hedge (maintain value type investment), but recently they are far exceeding inflation numbers. Any prognostications on sustainability? The silver price is a little frightening since so much of industry uses silver. With the increased demand in computing, electronic devices, electric vehicles/solar power, and batteries in everything, costs have to be impacted significantly.
  22. The museum is amazing and enjoy Waffle House if you go lol
  23. 15 Jan MFS homies: I'm planning on grabbing a rental car and get in around 1800 on 14 Jan if anyone wants to catch a ride and save on uber costs. Return flight isn't until late afternoon 16 Jan so also planning to hit up museum, assuming all goes well with the exams.
  24. Only thing I want for Christmas is just a projected training date and UPT location. I’m not asking for a lot.
  25. //...// The IPT program delivers standardized, performance-based pilot training designed to develop foundational flying skills necessary for follow-on advanced training pipelines. Training is conducted using contractor-provided aircraft, simulators, curriculum, and instructional services in accordance with the performance work statement. Work will be performed at multiple locations to include Denton, Texas; San Marcos, Texas; and Peachtree, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by December 18, 2035. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and eight offers were received. Fiscal 2025 operation and maintenance appropriations for funds in the amount of $399,010 [i.e. a paperweight] are being obligated at the time of award. The 338th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron is the contracting activity (FA3002-26-D-0002).

  27. @Lord Ratner and @M2 want to believe in the “convenient” conspiracy that no one other than Epstein was involved (such a bizarre take). I ask you, is there no evidence of trafficking? Or is there evidence that there is a coverup of who they were trafficked to (what has been alleged all along)? https://www.justice.gov/multimedia/Court%20Records/Matter%20of%20the%20Estate%20of%20Jeffrey%20E.%20Epstein,%20Deceased,%20No.%20ST-21-RV-00005%20(V.I.%20Super.%20Ct.%202021)/2022.03.17-1%20Exhibit%201.pdf “A 15-year old victim was forced into sexual acts with Epstein and others and then attempted to escape by swimming off the Little St. James Island. Epstein and others organized a search party that located her and kept her captive by, among other things, confiscating her passport. Another victim, who was first engaged in provide massages to Epstein, was then forced to perform sexual acts at Little St. James in the Virgin Islands. When she attempted to escape the "private island," Epstein and a search party found her, returned her to his house, and suggested physical restraint or harm if she failed to cooperate.” “Associates in the Epstein Enterprise recruited both victims and abusers into the Epstein Enterprise, participated in sexual acts of rape and abuse of minors and witnessed Epstein and others engage in sexual acts with children.”
