This is a very good question. I am also wondering what the answer may be, but I’m guessing it’s the loud voices.

Yep, even my gay friends don’t like drag, and are very against it being in front of children. The pride movement is fucked up…maybe it had altruistic beginnings simply trying to gain same legal rights for same-sex married couples, but it has morphed into an evil, devoid-of-values sideshow. We don’t allow strippers on Main Street, nor should we allow this bullshit on Main Street. Do what you want in a windowless building with controlled/age-limited access, e.g. every strip club. 
 

I also don’t understand the “need” to cover yourself in pride paraphernalia…I don’t care who you love or bang, why do you need to shove it in everyone’s face? Maybe we should start a blue/pink themed movement that celebrates dudes banging chicks. I’m sure DAL will love to let me wear a blue/pink striped lanyard that represents my love for women and fucking them, especially during heterosexual pride month.

Eh, I get it. People were getting legally persecuted for being gay less than fifteen years ago. I've been to retirement ceremonies where someone brought their partner - who they had to hide for the first ten years of their career or their career would have been over. That's sad, and the scars from that don't go away overnight.

Do you really think it's fair to lump "homos" in with pedophiles?

Like most of us, I had the privilege of serving with many gay Airmen, although in many cases I didn't even realize it until years later. The vast majority were quiet professionals and great Americans who made important contributions to mission accomplishment... you know, just like most other service members you'd encounter over the course of a career.

I also (unknowingly) served with one pedophile, who killed himself when his crimes came to light.

So again I ask, do you earnestly think these two groups belong in the same boat?

The four stages of a social movement; 1) tolerance 2) acceptance 3) celebration 4) participation.  We are in stage 3 now and you already see some stage 4 going on (men-who-identify-women complaining lesbians won't date them).  I think most of us are just fine with stages 1 & 2, but I get canceled because I won't wear a Pride shirt?  GMAFB.

Today's problem is that the pedo's see how the gays have been accepted into polite society. They use this as their foot in the door by saying we don't have a choice of our own sexual preference just like the gay community. They are trying to normalize that being sexually attracted to a small child is OK. Especially in Texas where pedos are murdered by parents whose children were destroyed by them unless it's in Travis County.  Jury nullification everywhere else especially if all 12 jurors are parents. It doesn't matter if a DA is full on Soros funded lawyer, if children are hurt by these monsters the families will take justice into their own hands because the courts will fail in legality plus crowd funding will pay for the parents legal fees.

This to me is why we still need pride month. The vocal dead-enders who are still virulently and actively anti-gay rights, let alone tolerant, accepting, etc.

Gay people are not pedophiles, I don’t know how that even gets lumped together. I’ve known one pedophile in my life and he was straight (e.g. grown man attracted to underaged girls).

Extremely weird story…one of my friends’ dad, school board president, retired army O5 -> intel community GS, super nice (seemingly) upstanding guy. Had a high-level clearance with a poly and somehow got into a box canyon on a routine reexamination and admitted to terrible crimes. Went to a federal pound you in the ass prison. FAFO. Everyone was shocked.

Anyways, I digress…it sounds like you’ve never had a gay best friend or a gay kid. I have both.

Too bad, the experience might change your hard heart to one able to understand that homosexuality has always been a part of the human condition and it’s not gonna go away if you hate it extra loudly. You’re just going to hurt people who deserve to be loved and accepted just the same as you or me.

Oh you got me. Ouch. I just haven’t bought into the 30 years of brainwashing and attempted normalization of destructive behavior.
 

I’ve got some good friends who have a child each who bought into all this crap and it’s ruined both of the kid’s lives. Tons of mental health issues and destructive behavior. It’s just a poor choice and the whole push towards it pisses me off when I’ve seen two families impacted by the whole alphabet crew.
 

Again, there is nothing good for the individual or the family that can come from choosing abnormal behavior.
