  1. Buddy of mine who refused the vaccine just got called into legal. They asked if he wanted to continue his separation or return to active duty. He said the latter but wanted his record scrubbed of the adverse fitrep and page 11s. It was already done. They asked him what orders he wanted, he received orders to a new squadron that is standing up, which he requested. He also is going to receive all back pay, about $110k.

  2. Your upper-middle-class-first-world is showing. I'm guessing you haven't missed a meal or wondered where your next rent payment will come from in quite some time. I would estimate that a high percentage of working class America needs that money, as they live paycheck to paycheck, so if they can physically make it to work, they're going, no matter how bad they feel, because they need to get paid. You strongly appear to view the world through filthy_liar shaded glasses, through which everyone can and should make decisions and understand the world the way you do. Assuming you are, indeed, an upper-middle-class, non-blue collar, or even retired individual, as the tenor of your posts would indicate, your economic and social status make you vastly the minority in the US and the world. I recommend some travel.

  3. We absolutely should have preference or ranked-choice voting in every election nationwide. It takes a bit of additional voter education, but it enables more nuanced preferences of the electorate to be expressed.

  4. I was quite surprised to see Mini's name on that memo. This should have been a CSAF or JCS level directive. 2nd, the memo could have removed China getting called out specifically, because I think by calling them out a fight is more likely to occur because of it. Lastly, it could have addressed firearms training without jumping the shark. I guess we use "clips" in our M9s and M-4s? But here is where I was truly surprised; the attempt to remove obstacles to operations, taking away the absurdity of current command mentality, and improve the force. Like, allow Sq/CCs run their units without having to report every cotton-picking tiny piece of bullshit. Aircraft CCs run their missions and crews to get the job done. Like actually instill independence. A lot of ACs these days gotta ask permission to do anything. Wartime and home base ops have two standards. Why the hell is the waiver authority so high for dumb shit? So I expect the semiannual self inspector to get a new job. Bullshit side duties to die with impunity. But don't forget the vRED! He has some power to modify AFIs, so start chopping. As a small aside, this is the same Mini that slammed a fist into chalkboard in front of a lot of crews because he thought he saw one of then taxi past a pallet within 10 feet; crew saw it, knew of it, talked while going past it, safe distance, no danger. To see him advocate for the opposite is refreshing. Hope he can keep it up. PS. Mattis was once (or more) heavily critiqued for saying its fun to shoot some people. He survived.

  5. nothing will change when the same "leaders" in charge of the afghanistan debacle are still in charge. show me one senior leader who resigned or was fired...they weren't. in fact they doubled down and called it a success. cowards. all of them.

  6. My biggest concern is that when Trump doesn’t win the Rep primary that he decides to run as an Independent and then in turn splits the Rep ticket. This would almost guarantee the Dems to win the 2024 election…

  7. No idea about the Reserves/Guard. However, getting backpay is the least they can do after threatening to destroy someone's livelihood with an Other Than Honorable discharge. I wouldn't be surprised if that was one carrot to use to try and avoid lawsuits.

  8. Congressman Dan Crenshaw just did an interview on his podcast with a SEAL who has been fighting in Ukraine. Interesting stuff. Title of the podcast is "The Truth about Dan Swift, the Navy SEAL Killed in Ukraine."

  12. Lots of speculation over on Twitter about who was responsible and where things originated. Be interesting to see the real story/data. Israel Strikes Iran Amid International Push to Contain Tehran - WSJ Either way, things blowing up in Iran, no clearly responsible party, and videos on Twitter of Iranian citizens cheering some of the strikes. Not a bad way to start a Sunday morning.

  16. You need to take the course I offered you brother. Youre arguing outside of your depth. If you don't understand on a technical level how the crypto industry holds or records value, how it's distributed, what mining actually means on a technical level....you are going to struggle to understand why and how crypto currency works peer to peer. Crypto was deliberately created to circumvent financial services institutions following the 2008 bank collapse. The creator wanted people to be able to trade peer to peer without governments or banks involved he did a very good job of ensuring that the currency was protected from that.

  18. The off-ramp remains open any time the Russians want to take it! Either get rid of Putin and stop the invasion or convince him to do so if that’s possible. That’s it, that’s the basis for peace in Ukraine. The Ukrainians will never back down from defending their country from an unjust invasion, nor should they 🇺🇦

  19. I'm still trying to figure out why I had mx officers. Here have some rope, let me know if you need some more. Dang! what happened to that guy, he was only here two weeks, Darn! I didn't even know his name. Only thing he said to me I'm a Cal Berkley Graduate and I'm smarter than you. Boy Howdy did he impress the shit out of me. The only ones I ever needed were O-5's and above. If I was King of the USAF, my plan was how Chuck Yeager started his career as a commissioned officer. He started as rated mx officer who flew all the FCF's and OCF's. Maybe it should go to the way the Naval Ops sq does it, pilots have to do leadership on the ground by leading mx troops. If your name was on the side of the jet, it was your responsibility to write the Crew Chiefs EPR and make sure he gets an end of tour medal. Rated Majors would run mx and hopefully by the time they get their own CC job they understand health of the fleet and just not sortie count. MX and Cop Sq's are huge and have very busy First Sgt's, if you know you know, historically those guys are treated like shit and are pounded with constant extended 12 hour shifts with no days off. Which to leads to why they are always undermanned because no one reenlists, the enlistee raises his hand the first time, but his family reenlists. Also bring back Warrant Officer, that way a technically shit hot E-5 or E-6 doesn't have to eat shit from the Top 3 so they get a decent board score. I retired an E-7 but I knew I would never be a Chief due to that I could never get off the flight line. Most of my fellow senior E's were nothing but backstabbing apple polishers, they were given jobs off the flight line just to get them out of the workflow because they suck. Unfortunately, they were the ones who made Chief due to showing they had diverse career broadening assignments, in reality they were getting moved every 6 months due to effing up that section they had to move them. Plus, their EPR was written in way that he was a water walker and not the Charlie foxtrot he was. The good ones were kept on the line and were manipulated by the Chiefs to make sure they stayed on the line making the Wing King money. My only shot of getting off the line was interviewing for a Wing Safety job. My incentive was a slot for the NTSB crash investigation course if I got that job. The Vice Wing CC interviewed me and told me then to report back Monday. This was a Thursday and started doing PCA paperwork. Friday morning get called into the Chiefs office, got told you're not going anywhere. He told me point blank you will be on that flight line with a brick and schedule to make sure we make that schedule. I'm sure if I was milk toast maintainer, I would have gotten that job because the guy who got it sure was.

  20. You know for a fact that only one of those hole punchers works properly. The fun is trying to guess which one works each time you need to punch a few holes. It is an Air Force standard to keep all hole punchers on alert, regardless of their mx status.
