Main points for why I think he has done terribly, and what are apparently “mainstream dem” according to you: - Not only supporting, but aggressively pushing, a mental health crisis, especially amongst youth - Purposely, and significantly, degrading domestic energy production/increasing reliance on foreign energy - Willful dereliction of border security at best, calculated and purposeful border insecurity at worst (a PCF of our drug epidemics going on) - Pushing green energy plans that are counter-science, counter-logical, and completely unrealistic. Note: All for green energy exploration and getting better, but not for illogical buffoonery driven by politics instead of reality - Weaponizing gov agencies against those who aren’t in lock step with party talking points/objectives - Extreme focus on exciting and continuing race-based culture wars - Multiple avenues of attack on individual liberties…he wants an obedient populace, not a country of unique individuals That’s just off the top of my nugget. I haven’t even touched the significant links he and his family have to our #1 enemy. But I also acknowledge corruption is everywhere, so I don’t think Biden is unique in shit like this. I would put money on the fact that, when they signed up, they asked if this commitment would be concurrent and I would put money on the fact that some personnel NCOs said yes. How many times have you talked to someone at MPF and gotten a confidently wrong answer from someone and gone with it only to find out later that the info was incorrect? I can give you multiple examples of personnel inconsistencies When I was awarded a Nav slot in 1994, the commitment had changed from 5 to 6 years. I had to cross out every 5 in my contract, change it to a 6 and initial it. One of my friends was at a Det that didn’t do that. Guess what? She got out at the 5 year mark. My kid was told in Jan 2021 that he could commission into the ANG from ROTC in 2021 under the Bow Wave program. Everyone was on board, he found a unit and got hired…then in April 2021 A1 ended the program and didn’t tell anyone…not the gaining state recruiters, not the ROTC det, not the unit. They did all the paperwork to submit in May only for AFPC to say “sorry, that program is over, the moose out front should have told you.” I could go on and on. So to make a blanket sweeping generalization that every single one of these aviators read a contract that apparently the entire Army didn’t even understand and they all need to man up? A lot of personal pref, so shoot various ones if possible. Big Glock fan, I think the 43X MOS with choose-your-optic is a solid conceal carry option and my pref (I’ve shot every other like-model competitor out there). Several good options out there.

Not very common. This is why the selection process is so thorough and why fighter units usually have such a high bar set for interviews. A lot of time and money is invested in you by the time you reach track night.

If one of them gets picked (happened to Gen Brown), everyone will glom onto their skin color/gender/orientation. Nope. Waters great on this side of the pool friend. Pay is also. Im happier, my family is happier, my son is in a 100X better school than we ever could have had AD. Go find the life you always owed yourself and your family. You deserve it and congrats on the retirement.

As a general statement you'll have approximately 2 years of full time flying after UPT and RTU for seasoning. So that's about 3.5-4 years of full time work before you MIGHT have to go part time/have a civilian job. During that time you're GENERALLY flying ~8-10/mo homestation as a fighter guy. Some squadrons more than others, but it all goes in waves depending on maintenance and other external factors. You'll fly more when deployed. And yes you can deploy with other squadrons if they need the help. If your goal is to stay flying full time, well, nobody can tell you at ANY unit what the resources climate will be in 4 years. Absolutely you could be "forced" to part time at the end of seasoning (and more like 5 sorties/mo as a fighter part timer), but there could also be AGRs for all my friends...it's all speculation at this point. If you want to fly, then jump in and go for whatever flying mission appeals the most to you..let your future self figure the rest out in 4-5 years, seriously.
