  2. When I was in my late teens and early 20s I worked in the rental car industry. The company wouldn’t call a vehicle in as stolen or missing until the 30 day mark because of the possibility of a clerical error leading to a felony stop. You can’t rent a car longer than 30 days on one contract because it becomes a lease after 30 days.

  4. More buffoonery from the great state of Florida
  5. Biff_T, You are gonna need a lot of Blue Pills! Even if you only get a few…. Need some of mine?
  6. On 3 September 2025, China organized a large-scale military parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War (“V-Day”). The parade displayed a wide array of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) forces, weapons, unmanned systems, and other equipment. As described by a state news broadcast, the featured “unmanned intelligence systems, underwater combat units, cyber and electronic forces, and hypersonic weapons,” as well as “the latest generation of conventional weapons,” highlight the “PLA’s growing capacity to harness emerging technologies, adapt to the evolving character of warfare, and prevail in future conflicts.” Notable features of the 2025 V-Day parade include: --- Longer but less dense format except in key areas (namely, unmanned systems) --- Personnel from the aerospace, cyberspace, information support, and militia forces --- Representation of forces for global power projection --- Cyber warfare, electronic warfare, and information support equipment --- Many newly revealed unmanned platforms, particularly for aerial operations --- China’s nuclear triad, shown together for the first time --- Prominence of laser weapons and (at least one reported) anti-satellite weapon In these and other ways, the military parade signals China’s rapid and ongoing investment in new military capabilities. These platforms very likely reflect perceptions among the leadership in Beijing that China must be capable of prevailing not just in homeland defense and regional conflict — such as over Taiwan — but in securing its interests worldwide when necessary. It is unlikely that China pursues state-of-the-art weapons systems (like aircraft carriers) and world-class military status mainly for prestige (though that is very likely a part of China’s motivation as well). However, the presentation of these platforms does not have particular value for assessing the PLA’s actual combat and joint operations capability now or in the future.
  7. How is this thread only 13 pages? We need to bump up that rookie number, gentlemen!!
  8. A little drama in my backyard. Pensacola has a small railroad bridge that is called the Graffiti Bridge where people paint murals and messages. There is a local artist who does some detailed work whenever a famous person or someone in the news dies. Last week he did one for Iryna Zarustska, the Ukrainian woman stabbed on the train in Charlotte. Yesterday afternoon he started one for Charlie Kirk and knowing the time he planned to finish the community planned a vigil for Charlie Kirk last evening at sunset and quite a few people showed up including a BLM activist who ran up and sprayed the mural just as the event began. The crowd didn't take to kindly and someone sauced pretty him pretty good. He ran away with a police escort (no one laid a finger on him which is shocking). He then "collapsed" in the street and they took him away in an ambulance. BLM went back out last night and defaced it again. And by midnight our wonderful friends on the left had done this.
  9. Just adding for info on how the Brits still do it, contractor/mil mix… https://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/embraer-phenom-100-multi-engine-pilot-trainer-aircraft/?cf-view&cf-closed https://ascentflighttraining.com/aircraft-profiles-phenom-100/ From Google AI During multi-engine pilot training (MEPT) with the RAF, students receive a total of 67 hours of live flight time in the Phenom T1, along with 47 hours in a simulator. This training is delivered by 45 Squadron as part of the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) at RAF College Cranwell. The total flight hours for Phenom T1 students are split across two distinct phases of training: Phase 2 Multi-Engine Training: Students receive 14 live flight hours in the Phenom T1 and 14 synthetic (simulator) hours over six weeks. Phase 3 Multi-Engine Training: This phase, which lasts 35 weeks, provides students with an additional 53 live flight hours and 33 synthetic hours. https://ascentflighttraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/NFTE2024-Campus_Accreditation_Report-RAF_Cranwell-GBR-FINAL.pdf Only 5 jets but damn it if they can figure it out we can too
  10. Seeing staunch liberals lament doxing by conservatives on social media is truly ironic. Whether I agree with doxing or not it's hilarious to see a group of people that collectively champion cancel culture getting canceled themselves. Fortunately, those currently on the receiving end of the movement they created will no doubt see the error in their ways and we can all move away from this retardation /s.

  12. What about juggling as a FST?
  13. ??? Is this legit? Aggies fly side by? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOCdhkfEQdF/?igsh=MW4wOGl6YWNoY283Mg==
  14. I say Hail Mary because of the way it went down not because of the distance. Correct on ND record, I forgot they had a by week two. Yup, beat themselves. 100%
  15. My favorite thing to say in the cockpit when one of the boomers goes on an anti-millennial rant... "Uh, and who exactly bought the participation trophies?" Silence
  16. No. But is that really how you read my words? Or do you think I was providing important context in reference to the general milieu which was the political mayhem occurring from 2020 through 2021? They (the Democrats) sanctioned mayhem that Negatory turns a blind eye to every time he posts a one-sided accusation. Or attempts what-about-ism. Or when he invokes Jan 6th as an idol, pointing and proclaiming: "See! look here! It's the same! The Rs and the Ds both do it!" Do you think I was carrying water for the few who broke the law on Jan 6th? Or do you think I was putting it in juxtaposition with what was the actual violence that was allowed to take place Do you acknowledge or deny that there was a qualitative difference with which republicans and democrats reacted to violence and anarchy that was initiated by their own sides? Or do you think that was all in our heads? Am I imagining that? I seem to remember Pence refusing Trump's orders. I seem to remember no large scale right-wing violence or rioting. Maybe I'm in my Twitter bubble. I welcome you to pop it. But, you have to provide evidence.
  17. Have to respectfully disagree with you there bud…it was an 11 yard pass, so definitely not what I would call a “Hail Mary”. But it was an awesome and exciting finish. ND is also 0-2 now, not 1-2. I agree with much of the rest of your analysis—good stuff and glad the beginning of the season has yet to disappoint!
  18. You'll not get an argument from me. UF could have won that game, despite the poor officiating. I think Lagway may be injured and Billy is letting him play, there's no other explanation as to why he's become such a horrible quarterback this year. LSU is overrated.
  19. Hello to all, My apologies if this has already been covered. For officer training school, do you have to apply for multiple jobs, or can you strictly apply for one job? IE, I want to be a pilot, am I forced into applying for another job, or can I choose whether I apply for jobs other than pilot? Reddit threads have made me question my knowledge on the process. Thanks!
  20. Apples and oranges comparison. Trump’s stupid/unprofessional tweets are not the same, nor even a “slippery slope,” to someone’s tweet celebrating murder. I’m sure we agree on the cringe level of many Trump tweets, but they don’t even make the CF list in this debrief.
  21. Yesterday was an epic game of football. If you didn't see the end of some of these games you missed some incredible action. GT runs their kicker kicker onto the field with 15 seconds, the clock running, no timeouts and hits the longest FG (55 yards), of his life as the clock runs out...Dabo is left with his second loss and a dumbfounded look on his face. Tenn Kick shanks a kick to end their 8 year drought against Ga...game goes to OT and UGA wins. UGA is NOT that good! Texas A&M stuns ND with a Hail Mary as the clock runs out...ND now 1-2. UF - I almost feel bad for them. Their defense actually held LSU and it would have been much closer if Napeir wasn't such a horrible coach and their QB didn't throw FIVE picks. This was game one of a buzzsaw stretch on their schedule...next three games are at Miami, Texas at home then on College Station to play the Aggies. Does Napier survive to coach all three games? Arch Manning is not living up to expectations... Vandy suddenly looks stout as they completely punk's #11 South Carolina. Miami ended USF's dream run...the Canes started hot but let down a bit after a 1+45 rain delay then into Halftime. They cranked it back up to win big, Mario should have pulled Beck a lot sooner. Ole Miss fought a war with Arkansas, great back and forth game to watch. Great time of year.
  22. There is some irony going on. Many are pissed at the dumbass things people are posting. I dunno, maybe if we had leaders in this country that set a higher standard of human behavior vs mean tweets/etc. I am not justifying, just pointing it out. That and I will not be surprised to find tons of SM accts are Ruskie/Chiner/NK trolls just churning out shit. PS to Viperman. Are you saying the Dems made em do it (Jan 6th) like they're puppets?
  23. Not the stereotypical gen x, because they don't whine like that. Hell, he sounds more like an you-don't-understand-me millennial. I grow increasingly tired of having to listen to boomer airline captains complain about how bad the world is and how their kids are turning out liberal when it's the world that their generation created.
  24. Another point to the idea that booster money may be more important to this new era of college football. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Ummm, he sounds like Gen X
  26. Cry me a river. If you are working for an airline you have been making good coin in your last 17-22 years.
  27. Pretty good flyby at Lambeau this week. Not real close up camera but they seemed right on time with fireworks (maybe 1 to 2 seconds late - nitpicking)
