  2. It's amazing how these prior-mil guys get elected to congress and then decide to go full retard. (It's cool, that word is allowed again)

This Eighth-Grade Girl Can Encourage Her Pe...The rise of A.I. has inspired a lot of anxieties about machines replacing humans, but one amazing kid in Berkeley, California is proving that there…Onion's version of buzzfeed.
  5. Looks like the below X post summarizes the issue, for those who (like me), who didn't want to sit through Shawn Ryan's 8 minute video. Questions about US House members becoming millionaires are always concerning, for obvious reasons. I'd be more concerned about what I think is the more likely scenario: Corporations, NGOs, or other organizations who want to gain favor with Crenshaw, offering to foot the bill for his birthday bash. He entered Congress in 2018, and has been reelected three times since then. According to Wikipedia, his 2020 campaign was one of the most expensive Congressional races in the country, at $10M+. Someone is paying that bill, and it's for sure not Crenshaw himself. I don't follow this shit as much as others, but I've heard Crenshaw on a podcast once or twice, and read about him here and there. Ten years of service and five tours as a SEAL is an enviable military record, by any account. Good on him for leveraging that into a political career. But he sure comes off like a grown adult throwing a tantrum in this current issue. Also, based on the few things I've heard and read about him, he really comes off as someone who's committing the gravest error of celebrity: He's believing his own press. He's got this great image of American Hero Navy SEAL turned political crusader, fighting the good fight. While that makes for good press, I'm sure he's just as dirty as your normal Congress critter. Duke Cunningham was another Navy hero who rose to Congress, and by all accounts fell into the same trap, ultimately landing himself in prison. Finally, just because this kind of shit really grinds my gears: "My boys down at 6....." Man, STFU. You've been out for almost ten years. Your rank is Mister. Or Congressman. But throwing around comments like "your boys" just makes you sound yet another washed-up military retiree in the Beltway, trying to impress people with a bunch of mindless name dropping.
  6. Threatening a lawsuit is just not thinking straight. Not to pour cold water on politician hate, but... 100% disabled / medically retired O-4 at 10 years of service in 2016, pulled forward to today is probably around $120k combined disability and retirement pay. House of representative base pay of $174k. That's 7 years of pulling down the neighborhood of ~$300k. If he was into saving/investing while in the military as well, it would not be hard at all to be a multi-millionaire with mostly boring index trading. Once you toss in inherent knowledge folks in those positions get, it really wouldn't be hard. All that to just frame what is a reasonable amount of money to be talkign about. Skimming through his disclosures, the only one that makes me raise my eyebrows is his habit of throwing money at FAS (Direxion Bull 3x) I don't feel like researching the timing of those purchases, but that could be suspicious. That said he also invested in some weird crypto BS that probably cost him money too (company went TU).
  7. The opponent was probed, resilient defenses were encountered. Offensive capes evaluated. COA 1, disengage, retreat, call it a draw. COA 2, go full Leroy Jenkins.
  8. What, someone is surprised another Michigan coach got caught in shenanigans? Hail! Michigan, the cesspool of the world. Long live section P, Tastes Great, Jump Around, Tequila!

  10. How these reps become multi-millionaires in a short period of time is insane. Crenshaw is going to double-down and his Shiz is going to get exposed.
  11. Great question. 🤷‍♂️
  12. For what?
  13. I happen to be in Ann Arbor for the week, I should swing by the cop shop to see the media mess. Even as a Buckeye, I hate to see this downfall. What a mess he's made! Hopefully he finds his center and remembers he still has kids that need him. As an aside, if your family ever needs significant pediatric care, you'd be remiss if you didn't explore the University of Michigan medical center. This place is outstanding!
  14. I know not the Congresscritter this thread was started for but… Ole Crenshaw started a fight with Shawn Ryan that might not go very well for him. I’ll be interested in how this plays out.
  15. Now predictably the douchebag Rep is threatening to sue Ryan :)
  16. I assume it may be taking a while because of the effects of the gov shutdown so they’re still playing catchup
  17. Don't worry about the VML. I got put on it after selection and eventually all of that went away once my assignment was loaded. AFPC knows your situation.
  18. Yesterday
  19. Yeah I looked at the thread from last year too and saw the same. Hopefully we get stuff next week since we don’t have to go through wright patterson
  20. Well hopefully AFPC starts loading some stuff cuz I got pinged on the VML today. Dug into last year's thread and looks like it was about a month post official notification that assignments started to get loaded.
  21. Hope that douchbag cop gets to live under a bridge
  22. AITA for not wearing this shirt to Army/Navy this weekend? UnderArmour 1/4 zip made in Vietnam, so the flag is the equivalent of a red star on a yellow background for theirs.
  23. So with the Michigan coach getting canned and seemingly going full Waltz, who had this on the bingo card of college football craziness?
  24. Probably because its right up there with sock color and cobwebs in the bushes outside the Wing building. Only tards care about that shit. But since you posit, I goog'ed. Apparently, Microsoft changed their standard font from Times New Roman to Calibri during the Bush Jr administration.
  25. Wait... Did they consciously switch to Calibri at some point?
  26. DFP: Why did jets fall off the boat? RC: Pornhub IF: Remove WiFi and morale
  27. Yeah dude, definitely don't congratulate them on a nice 5-ship missing man...
