  1. They don’t change the result for you, they might for another reader. My corrective comments were for the benefit of others. I don’t blame any AGR who passes on 130 advising. I hope none are forced into it. Homestar is making a mathematical statement: there are less 365s. Some of you are reading into his tone words that he is not saying. FWIW, I think 365s are crazy, but if they must exist should be filled by volunteers only. Although the threat of being non-vol’d is mathematically less now than a few years ago, it’s still a real threat and a huge disservice to our personnel. back to thread topic: the bonus is no where near enough to entice people to stay given what we put up with. People are and afterthought in our organization and if we want to keep people, we have to fix that aspect of our culture. Since we can’t, because we are broken and stupid, we have to pay people a ridiculously huge amount of money to stay and put up with that shit. Turns out we can’t do that either.

  2. So I decided to start a new topic based on a discussion in the Bonus thread regarding the new technician/ART pay tables. As a 14 year technician who served as a technician from Jan 07-about three weeks ago, I’m happy progress was finally made, even if I’ll never see it. Some comments were made about TAG buy-in and such. But, the way I read it, it looks like it applies to multiple agencies (to include the Department of the AIr Force). Here’s the letter if you haven’t seen it: And the pay tables can be found here by scrolling down to tables 0759-0767. http:// https://apps.opm.gov/SpecialRates/2018/AllSRTables.aspx So, since it’s the new OPM pay table and not some locally concocted bonus, all of the techs and ARTs out in Baseopsville will see this in your next civ pay LES. If you don’t, you should call out your local HRO or Finance because it looks pretty cut and dry to me. Scooter

  3. They've changed it recently. Use https://web.mail.us.af.mil/owa and it should redirect you to the correct url for your physical location. Militarycac.com is my go to for the correct link when the one I'm using inevitably stops working.

  7. I was able to get it working by resetting google Chrome and using the owa address. This past summer it was the owa address that died on me and that is why I started using the other URL (cp.mail.us.af.mil), which I saw someone post about earlier last year. Thanks all for the help. Cheers!

  8. It’s the most relevant buzzword, though. A bureaucracy full of old GSs is a real problem for national security.

  9. Lol I can see how that firing went... Dugan: why am I being fired? Brass: You admitted that we fully intend to break a bunch of laws/executive orders. Dugan: well that's exactly what we're doing. Brass:. Well...ya...but that's beside the point. Dugan : ........... Ethics rep: Hey guys, whatcha talking about?

  14. He's not particularly conservative. Like much of the internet, too many dumb people just listen to what other dumb people say about topics/people and draw the same conclusion they had from the beginning.

  16. Jeeeezus that’s not what I said. I’m not plugged in so someone with access to the numbers will have to do the digging. Your anecdote does not mean you are more likely to get a 365.

  18. That's not what he said at all. He said there are far fewer 365s and far fewer people at risk for them as a result. Not that everyone should do a 365.

  23. Or an entire year of not constantly putting out fires, being home for dinner and tucking the kids. I know it's hard to imagine, but not everyone puts their "quals" at the top of their priority list.

  24. No one has guarantees they will get a chance at their dream. Grab a pair and make a decision. The bonus or chance and possibility of failure at your dream. Regrets are a bitch if you don’t make a decision, either way you go.
