With the presidential debate going on tonight and the approaching elections, the following questioned popped in my head: does a specific political party have more effect over the other on the Air Force? I.e. Budgets, Leadership, etc.

Unqualified F-35 Pilot At the Controls During Utah National Guard Apache Crash, Investigation Reveals The helicopter was piloted by a colonel in the Air Force Reserve who was not qualified to fly the aircraft. The colonel, an F-35 fighter jet pilot, had only 35 minutes of experience in an Apache simulator before taking control of the real helicopter for a 90-minute flight.

As a former C-130 driver, SEFE and line puke, I had more than my share of fun in the course of 27 years on countless rotations, Panama, Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, Desert Shield & Storm and Red Flag, etc. in the A's, B's and E's. I've been earning some part time money (received via a W-9) and I really do not want to pay a lot of tax on it. As a counter to the Simone Biles quitting discussion, I propose this thread where we can celebrate triumphs free of any political side discussions. Just watched swimmers Caleb Dressel and Bobby Finke absolutely kill it in the 50 free and 1500 free respectively. What a couple of absolute champions! Flew out to SoCal to grab a bite to eat. Saw this at the DFW airport USO. :( I am glad my parents can't come in and see our multi-service slander on a wall, or checkout line. My comment is not toward the USO, as they always have these out. I even remember the day's when it talked about new weapons or new bases. But I am rather irked at the state of affairs being so precarious and publicized that all 3 of these magazines have that trash on them.
