I think that the world view of America is that it is a country rooted in the deepest sense of patriotism and respect for its armed forces... so the idea that one of America's national sporting bodies (and associated teams) was taking money to salute the troops is a little shocking. With the presidential debate going on tonight and the approaching elections, the following questioned popped in my head: does a specific political party have more effect over the other on the Air Force? I.e. Budgets, Leadership, etc.

In the days after 9/11 it became apparent we had problems dealing with low slow flyers. Through the years there have been several suggestions on how to deal with the issue. For a while it was even suggested the Light Attack fleet would offer a solution. Over the past few weeks there have been NUMEROUS TFR violations around the county and Live ATC has recorded many of the interactions. I listened to a few the past few days and it appears we still have issues. Without ATC we would have a very difficult time finding and in some cases maintaining contact.

Since it’s been about ten months since the pullout from Afghanistan and the failure of wearing reflective belts and having our PT shirts tucked in to achieve total victory, has the shoe clerk moved on? Or is he/she doubling down? It would be unusual for your typical martinet to be introspective and re-evaluate his/her choice of leadership style but who knows.

Hey everyone, I just recently washed out of a fighter B course. It was for many reasons, but ultimately it came down to me getting behind the jet a lot more than I care to admit. I struggled in the program and I gave it my best shot but things sadly did not pan out for me on the fighter side of the house. Not normally a baseball fan but the regionals were full of drama this year with the #1 and #2 schools both getting knocked out in the first round of Regionals. Also some drama with some of the Florida schools: 1.
