  1. Past hour
  2. Guessing that was for a Capt OPB? I'm still waiting to sign mine as a Capt (S) which had all my deployment stuff. Curious if they can pull it without my signature or if they'll only have access to my Lt ones.
  3. Today
  4. He makes a lot of good points. Who knows, maybe the bobs are using an expedited air war of attrition as the reason for mass producing subpar pilots. Or maybe those pilots will be so far from harms way that there's no need for them to be proficient at what we see as core capabilities, hence our tactical bias. Idk if these poignant quotes from a hundred years ago regarding culture make me feel better about whats going on in America or not. “the nation that has trained itself to a career of unwarlike and isolated ease is bound, in the end, to go down before other nations which have not lost the manly and adventurous qualities.” - Teddy Roosevelt "blamed education and upbringing for turning Frenchmen into “timid and poltroons,” - French General Oscar de Négrier “described the British nation as being in a ‘wild debauch of so-called freedom’” in need of “a new discipline.” - some British Captain
  5. Just wait until the rest of the bond market realizes that the Fed is not going back to their 2% target inflation rate anytime in next few decades. These rates will seem pretty good.
  6. AFPC has always been great with this board! They helped me get my most recent OPB with a solid strat submitted and added to my file this week. Very on top of everything. I wouldn’t worry too much about strats within your org. Obviously it gives you points but they pull a lot of additional info for your file, so if you’re a strong performer it’ll show, even if your Group/Wing had their own rating criteria. Big week next week! Good luck all!
  7. What is the US Military Preparing For? Force Design and the Pathology of Lessons Learned - Modern War Institute Long but good read.

  9. @LookieRookie Did a contractor like Ascent referenced above ever approach AETC about a long term program like the Brits have?
  10. Very convenient to now be employed there after being on the other side of the table from them https://redstate.com/jimthompson/2025/09/18/disgracednavy-4-star-robert-burke-sentenced-to-6-years-in-prison-n2194101
  11. Hegseth, Noam, and Gabbard have not impressed me, although hegseth would be the highest rating of the three in my opinion. Patel is doing great. But I also don't think it's particularly relevant. I view this administration as chemotherapy. An ugly reality that does a great deal of damage to the host, but it's necessary to removal a fatal malignancy.
  12. Not very sporting of them.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Been watching this YouTube channel series on a WW3 scenario This episode was pretty good with the beginning of the Taiwan operation Definitely influenced by Ukrainian Op Spider Web All too plausible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. https://thehill.com/policy/international/5512254-taliban-trump-afghanistan-bagram-air-base-return/amp/ Doesn’t look like the Jawas are on board with this.
  16. Around August 30th would be good. The Taliban like to have a big parade with most of their leadership in the bleachers.
  17. Gabbard has been the standout IMO.
  18. Patel: FBI crushing crime well beyond former admins Hegseth: Many improvements on mil conduct/culture Noem: Crushing illegal immigration Gabbard: Fighting hard against all the rot in the IC Nobody is without flaws, but 30K ft view without nit picking, why do you not support the above things these individuals are accomplishing as the leaders of their respective orgs?
  19. Yep. And Patel. And Hesgeth. And Noem. And Gabbard.

  21. agree. also there's no such thing as "hate speech" ms bondi. and release the Epstein files.
  22. Dibs
  23. I never understood the allure, other than the fact she's pretty and Trump loves hiring pretty women. Trump was correct to hire cabinet heads who are aligned with his vision and ready to follow orders, but they need to be like Marco Rubio, not trying to mimic Donald Trump's bombast and hyperbole, and serve as the professional face of the administration. Rubio has been the surprise All-Star of this administration, and as long as he can maintain this balance, JD Vance is going to have strong competition for the nomination in a few years
  24. And now he's been removed

  26. On that note, Pam Bondi - she is wildly off base and needs to get fired immediately. Biggest disappointment of all the major nominees.
