  2. The problem with that is that we’re even more dependent on Boeing Not confident they could build a modernized-135 again Embraer is hungry and giving the big 3 primes in our defense ecosystem something to consider I think would help But as we have the finest government money I think us buying an Embraer is a low probability Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Little late to comment but thought it worth noting. My dad and most of the other fighter guys I ever met who flew during that era had another name for him. He was universally known as Steve “Asshole” Ritchie.
  4. Facing a shutdown because the Dems want shitloads of tax payer dollars to go to illegals. Has nothing to do with some TDY pocket change.
  5. At that point, just start making KC-135s again.
  6. Back in the news https://www.twz.com/air/business-jet-aerial-refueling-tankers-eyed-by-usaf Biz jet would be good (large cabin jet conversion) but I’d also say look at a small regional jet that has a freighter variant, E-175 E2 would probably be just bit more capable while still being affordable to buy in quantity. Add gravel kit and brake upgrades for ACE, hard points for missions other than Air-Land and defensive systems. Embraer wants to sell E-175s, they make Phenom 100s in Florida, a deal could be had methinks to get a good price, Buy American compliant and likely get a deal on a good T-1 replacement, Phenom 100s with upgrades to make them more than just ME trainers, architecture to carry Agile Pod, deploy new standoff weapons, exercise/training support & target emulation, etc…
  7. No. And WTF is with the personal attack? Try harder not to be an asshole.
  8. You're getting pre-angry based on speculation from a yahoo article? You might be retarded.
  9. If this FOGO All Call is just a speech on bullshit, what an epic fucking waste. That's like a Wing/CC holding everyone hostage at 5pm on a Friday to bitch about sideburns. For Pete's sake, Pete, if this is all it is, cancel it now before you embarrass yourself/USA. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/hegseth-self-centered-reason-calling-221749640.html "A White House official separately told CNN that the meeting is meant to be a show of force, demonstrating what the military looks like under Trump." ‐------------ PS, it'll cost millions and govt is facing a shutdown situation. Bravo, Pete.
  10. I really like the ACC letting the audience listen in on their video replay reviews. All leagues should do it. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  11. That wasn’t ideal. I was surprised at our defenses inability to stop Virginia’s offense. I’m not going to blame officiating, although it did seem pretty lopsided… Seven days to turn it around and hopefully upset Miami. Doesn’t seem very likely at this point but we’ll see. Let’s see if USC can beat Illinois here in 1.5 hrs.
  12. A school can’t get more elitist douchey than UVA.
  13. ESPN just did a segment on the aftermath that I missed last night. The students actually ran over the FSU receiver that was laying on the ground...and they kept coming. They had to do a check to make sure he was able to get out. Should be a huge fine to UVA.
  14. With cameras and keyboard warriors these days, the eventual pairing of identities to asshole behavior, and the consequences many receive from such, you would think that people would behave better. I guess more lessons are needed.
  15. Indeed....Castellanos was posting on social Media about Miami...looked right past UVA. Was a great game to watch, huge fine for UVA for the field storming...I normally like to see the students celebrate but if you watched the c lose up several ran out and bumped in to Norvell and many of the FSU players, one even went up to an FSU players and tried to take a selfie, another got in Castellanos' face while flipping him off...that's unsat.
  16. Not just for culling the herd of powerful meddling shoe clerks and their acolytes but it is the purge of deep staters. There are good ones out there but it’s time to just flush their ranks
  17. Re the generals: I LOVE IT! From 2004 on, they capriciously cut lower ranking personnel with wild abandon. Now that the O-7+ cabal is possibly on the chopping block they’re not liking it one bit. Too bad they can’t RIF the guys responsible for the RIFs, but whatevs: I’ll relish the cull.

  19. Absolutely right. Our fates are decided already. Over the next few weeks, things are just being finalized, routed, approved, and eventually disseminated. Literally will know within the next 50 ish days!

  21. Why would you bother trying to hit a moving target? Just hit them on the taxi if you're going after airliners. Would take a small bit of explosive added to drone.
  22. Definitely a lot of truths in here. As a non-rated cyber guy, I can attest that it's common to have Lts in leadership roles (OIC and even Flt/CC) in massive squadrons. The Flight I was Flt/CC for had 120+ peeps to lead/manage and when I swapped to DO we had a Lt take it over. The point being, there is definitely an opportunity to show leadership at any rank, and non-rated AFSCs tend to have fewer officers in general, therefore giving more leadership opportunities. I do think there is some additional factors to consider when it comes to the diversifying of AFSCs. I'm sure they factor in how many people they are taking from each career field and may have additional restrictions beyond the overall number of pilot slots for the year. Career Field Management is tricky, and there's for sure a lot of behind-the-scenes work we don't see. Anyway, our fates have been decided! Who's going to go to the rumor mill to find out how many slots they had this year?
  23. Remember the bicycle test? That was the air force I joined. I really never thought I would've seen organized PT and a test with actual running. 2 miles is kinda overkill for 99% of the air force.
  24. Next 9/11: drone swarms targeting airliners, first or second climb segments, most vulnerable. Simultaneous execution across a dozen or more airports before NAS can react and shut down. Clancy predicted 9/11 methodology seven years prior.
