  2. Concur Unmanned air breathing and space based is the eventual solution but if king for a day I’d like a manned / unmanned team now, RQ- something plus the E-11 or something more ambitious, bigger manned jet maybe with links and active sensors, BACN plus AWACS. There’s an opportunity to coalesce around one manned platform type to get a lot of what we need, the Global 6500, could be that. BACN, AWACS, Medevac, Tactical Tanker, but I digress…. It’s also the platform the Army is using for it’s HADES jet, this could be one of the few joint platforms that could satisfy two chicks / services at the same time Two jets at the same time….
  3. my brother in christ: our secretary of HHS pulled his car over to cut the penis off a roadkill raccoon; the bar is on the floor.
  4. Nah. Young men should not be held to the standard of old men. If it's empty, he's good.

Yep, actually saw them for sale at Lackland Clothing Sales on Thursday, looks like something from an 80s Duran Duran video!!
  7. Super old man off! The challenge: who’s laid up on the couch longer after getting out of bed “the wrong way” (“right way” still not fully determined).
  8. 2028…idiots. The concept/long term plan is fine, but the timing is impossible, assuming anyone gives a shit about not losing significant capabilities for years.
  9. I have no experience running a boat, but I wonder how much technical knowledge is required to be an effective commander? I can see this perspective to some extent; to use an AF comparison - no way should a non fighter-pilot run a fighter wing, other than in “extreme” manning emergency where a fighter pilot cannot be sourced at the time (and at min the non-FP is a combat oriented pilot). But, there are commands where really only leadership and decision making capability matter, and technical expertise is somewhat irrelevant (schools, ABW, etc.) I wonder which AF example boats are more comparable to. Exception: carriers should be commanded by pilots. The SWOs running them are just like shoe clerks - have no concept of who the mission is (supported vs. supporting).
  10. Was that uniform idea stolen from Star Trek "Wrath of Khan" or the Empire in Star Wars?
  11. What a life https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10214298208403622&id=1668662949&rdid=n199sSSyfbmQp5SR#
  12. I really hope one day we'll have smart leadership. Do you by chance have anybody in mind?
  13. it's because our leadership is...for lack of a better word...dumb. hope that helps!
  14. I was going to comment on the latest convo but Stoleit had the most accurate info. From my memory anyway. But political nonsense popped up......

I like that "space flap" on the front, that'll pull all of the ladies.
  16. I still don’t understand why we have apparently sat on our hands while “negotiating”. Hopefully our guys are still killing all appropriate islamists in their government on the downlow.
  17. I appreciate hearing from those who critique actual policies and political positions of our elected representatives. It’s interesting to see such diverse takes from the same data, depending on one’s worldview. I’d argue that most of us are a little jaded from seeing the laws our elected officials pass and the bureaucrats who administer them, continuously do the expedient thing, rather than the correct for the long run thing. Then, when discussing the “other side”, tribalism with a touch of personal bias attached skews our view of things. I think most of us attempt to filter our bias to some degree. Personally the discussions here (at times) make me check my beliefs on geopolitical, financial, and social policy issues/topics. But having said that, I do appreciate a good street brawl on occasion about topics people feel passionate about even if I have no skin in the game.
  18. Is this really the uniform (blues) for space force command? I hated the blues as they were in the late 1980s, but if these, shown here, were required I’d have gone awol. That looks like old school Star Trek reimagined by some light-in-the-loafer AA flight attendants.
  19. I think Ratner is just butthurt someone wrote a post longer than his...

  21. I deleted the last few posts—let’s at least try to keep this thread from becoming part of the back and forth political nonsense.
  22. You guys need to get a room and do a dance off, like these guys. Red vs Blue.
  23. It's actually funny. It's like you finished your time in the military and reverted to high school cliques. Keep going, you're really stellar examples of what TDS really is. Keep going, you've hurt my feelings, so don't stop now...😂
  24. If we’re all “pathetic”, then it doesn’t sound like you want to be on this forum, unless I’m misunderstand you?
  25. the repeated claims of 'TDS' by boot-lickers here, like a lot of claims by this admin, are complete projection...sad really
