The Iran thread
From a geopolitical stance yes. We've shown we can't defend our bases abroad against drones or balastic missiles. A curbstomping doesn't cost us multiple strategic aircraft. It doesn't cost us billion doar radar arrays. It doesn't cost us American lives. It has Displayed our weaknesses to China. We've shown the degree to which we've ostracised ourselves from our allies with most of Europe refusing over flights. We've shown that we lack any long term planning capabilities or forethought by rushing into this without having a plan for keeping the strait open. We've put iran in a stronger position as they have gone from a theoretical to actual control of the straits. Rising oil prices are increasing the funds in both Iran and Russia's pocket to continue their fight. Iranian leadership may be dead but clearly they're working decentralized ops well. There's no scenario in which we walk away from this in the near term with any meaningful victory. Blowing stuff up doesn't equal winning on the global stage. Oh and no one trusts on the world stage trusts us to negotiate anymore seeing as it was never serious and used as a pretext to prepare strikes. We had a solid deal that this admin tore up the first time. We've messaged to the world "get nukes ASAP or you're next." For the photos. A few more have come out plus some vids of a herk and Blackhawk allegedly conducting sar over Iran. I don't trust everything but there's some decent amount of reports coming out and unfortunately our propaganda arm is just as unreliable. https://x.com/sentdefender/status/2040044384951922868?s=20 https://x.com/Osinttechnical/status/2040059365189722249?s=20

"Iranian media" is almost as credible a source as the War Thunder forums...though the forums have more accurate tech data... Do you genuinely believe the the air-to-ground curb stomping Iran is receiving is on par with the failed all-out invasion a next door neighbor by Russia? Tell me again how you aren't disgruntedemployee's troll account.

It could be like the Langley policy circa 2015 timeframe. Carry through to your first parking spot, then put the gat in a lockbox in the trunk.

Odds they completely FUBAR this. Hurlburt was one of the first to allow service members (and retirees), to bring weapons on base. Current rules require you keep it in a secured location in your vehicle. If you've been through the front gate in the morning (I assume most bases are like this), the back up and proximity to Highway 98 created the perfect L shaped ambush set up. Additionally, the memo addresses the thousands of uniformed personnel who work at the Pentagon, stating that the building's police force — the Pentagon Force Protection Agency — shall also apply a presumption of approval to all personal-carry applications. However, the memo stops short of allowing personal-carry within the walls of the building. Rather, it states that the Pentagon Force Protection Agency must allow fair consideration for Pentagon personnel to "store a privately owned firearm in a vehicle on the Pentagon Reservation," pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations. For those who have successfully completed a sentence at the Pentagon (sadly, I did two), you know how difficult the Pentagon cops can be. Random bag searches and on more than one occasion I was hassled over the length of a pocket knife.

2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Yeah, I definitely included that in the package. This was a formal CMS case requesting I sign the AF Form 63. I fully understand and agree to the 10 year ADSC, just didn’t expect to actually sign it until near the end of training. It sounds like everyone should be getting it to sign prior to PCSing to UPT, and if you don’t finish training for whatever reason, then it will revert to a 2 year ADSC.

The Mover and Gonky Show has a more expansive conversation that dovetails to what Ryan McBeth was saying in his video. Frankly this was all too predictable, I think all the “mystery drones” we were having over Langley, Wright-Patt, and now Barksdale was a dry run to test and evaluate strikes on airlift, tanker, and other aircraft. - Tactical Tanker
