  2. I know some guard dudes who went down that road - they never flew manned again, despite their best efforts to do so. Possible, yes, likely to work out, probably not. If you pursue a unit change and go RPA, do so being OK with never flying manned again.

  7. Since a good chunk of Hegseth’s time as SecDef seems to be spent doing/posting workout videos with users one can assume that Hegseth was working out with the SEALs, a fierce argument about the merits of Ranger panties ensued, which rapidly devolved into “oh yeah, take those pants off, you’re fired.”
  8. I think he was referring to buying very old second hand versions if you read the whole article.
  9. I don't own a big business, but if I did and it was making lots of money i wouldn't fuk with it.

  15. + 2 more, USN Special Warfare, and USN Reserves. Pentagon fires heads of Navy Reserve, Naval Special Warfare Command No reason given in article, but there is that fine print "at the pleasure of the President" in the commissioning certificate.
  16. On 1st glance I’d agree, the whole thing seems a bit silly. I’m more curious who he pissed off. Said individual is very political and would do almost anything to get ahead. He used to keep 2 extra covers in his car as a Lt., one with an eagle on it and one with a star on it as a reminder/motivator for where he wanted to go.
  17. Nah they came from Ramstein I believe. This was a few years ago too
  18. I'm not sure which is dumber, getting upset that a bunch of people whose job is to murder foreigners having off-color jokes, or being dumb enough to put those off-colored jokes in a chat full of a bunch of commanders who would sell out their children to get the next promotion, much less a fellow commander telling a naughty joke...
  19. the same flag officers who lost two wars in the last 20 years? the same flag officers who claimed victory in afghanistan is "right around the corner!"? good riddance. show me any strategic success these generals have championed...GTFO
  20. nah dude it's cool...all those flag officers had TDS.
  21. In light of personal life changes… Is it possible for an AFRC pilot to take an assignment with an RPA unit for a few years and return to flying later down the road? I understand this would require attending RPA training and mission qual and then further training if I ever want to fly manned aircraft again.
  22. Not fired yet, but it’s probably coming.
  23. This could be concerning.

  26. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone who applied for the UPT slot for the 112th Fighter Squadron out of Toledo has heard anything back about interviews and/or next steps in that process? The application was due 8/4 so it's been almost three weeks. This is only the second place I've applied and the first one sent me a rush invite the day the application closed, so I don't know if it's normal for there to be a wait like this or if it's normal to not even receive a rejection. I did receive confirmation that my application was received but nothing since then. Appreciate any insight on this, thanks.
  27. My SOS flight all got athletic shirts with Dr Galazkiewicz on the back. Will always remember this commercial.
