  2. Sure, but while my suggestion is unlikely, yours is fantasy. I wish that wasn't the case, but here we are.

I see what you're saying, but I'd rather go the other way. I cringe when they talk about how big the voter turnout was because a big voter turnout almost certainly means a lot of ignorant people showed up to vote and likely didn't really know what they were voting for/against. Instead, I'd love to see all electronic ballots that have pop up questions that you have to answer correctly for the vote to count. Three simple multiple choice questions that ask what the law is actually going to do. Nothing complicated, just a simple check to make sure you have some idea of what you're actually voting for before that vote counts. Or even better, you should have to bring in last year's W-2 when you vote. If the net taxes paid after any tax credits, welfare payments, etc is zero, then you don't get to vote. If you aren't paying into the system, you shouldn't get a say in how the system runs.
  4. It sounds like you don’t know how the SEEK EAGLE process works in the USAF.
  5. I don't doubt the maximizing profit part. When some of these tests fail after 10 years of development is it on purpose or incompetence? I guess it could sometimes be honest failures..

51st state - Runs from Mexico to Canada and from the Pacific to 69 miles east of the coast. Problem solved.
  7. It’s not incompetence on industry’s part, it’s the plan to generate and sustain maximum profit. The incompetence is the gov’s speciality.

  10. It turns out when LM, Raytheon, and NG put their heads together they're able to combine their incompetence and continue to produce underperforming products, behind timeline and over budget. Maybe that's the business model..

  12. The joke is on the sane people who voluntarily continue to live there.
  13. Also because:
  14. I mean, this is kind of why we have states in the first place. If veganism becomes that big of an issue, which I have difficulty fathoming, then Oregon would be the logical place for them to congregate and legislate as they see fit Edit: I should add, this is why we probably need make a constitutional amendment requiring quorum of some level in popular votes. If participation is too low, either by design or by chance, big changes should not be possible.
  15. Another example of the pure lunacy of what used to be the far left but more and more in the center of the DNC. Liberals in Oregon have collected over 120,000 signatures for the Peace Act. What is the Peace Act you ask....in short it outlaws ALL hunting and fishing. It ends ALL farming of animals effectively requiring everyone in Oregon to become Vegan. So far 120,000 people (6% of the Oregon population), signed to get this on the ballot. https://www.yesonip28.org/
  16. I bag on the bad cops all the time. I recognize how shitty the job is and mentally draining. Agree that you mostly only see the bad apples on the youtubes but there are enough of them on a pretty consistent basis that it IS an isssue. Saw one last night where cop off duty drives drunk to the theatre, drinks another beer waiting for movie to start. He bought ticket to Star Wars opening night but went into Frozen 2 theatre. Was found passed out with zipper down and handgun resting between his legs. Cops arrested him that night but he spent 365 days on paid admin leave and then when investigation closed, he returned to duty like nothing happened. All that being said, my main issue is with what happens to the bad cops. The general public is always on the hook in even the most blatant cases when it comes to lawsuits. Most of the time in the non-criminal cases, the cop resigns and then hires on somewhere else.
  17. I'm guessing it the fact that those "my bad" events don't make it onto the internet. I've witnessed more than one myself. Most cops are good people who will admit when they are wrong. I have to imagine that working with the worst 5% of the population on a near constant basis wears the crap out of you though. I imagine it'd be like having to interact with @Bender every single day.
  18. I know the EA-18 Growler demo team isn't going.
  19. Exactly. 90% of the shit you see of cops going bad are all ego driven. It's gotta be a lot more work in the long run to be that way but its not them paying for the lawsuits so nothing will change.

  21. Yeah I don’t understand so many officer’s inability to say “yep, i thought I saw that, my apologies, please drive safely.” We all screw up at times, how difficult is it to say “I’m sorry” or “my bad”? Unbelievable hubris.
  22. I was more surprised by the low gas situation, hence the poor planning remark. As for the 35 comment, I, incorrectly, made the assumption the advanced HARM system for the 35 was in production as I read about it years ago. I guess not.
  23. For now...
  24. Stealth is indeed just like Moose...on the spectrum.
  25. Oh so it’s kinda like gender identity? Damn is everything a spectrum nowadays?! 😉
  26. No, it wasn't the point...ever. Getting shot at was by-product of the intended role: Suppress and/or destroy enemy air defense. If you can do that without the IADS getting shot off, even better. Perhaps you misunderstand what "stealth" actually means. It doesn't mean invisible.
  27. Wasn't the point of the Weasel mission to be shot at before the strikers? Turns out, the radar gets better, the role still exists. LO aircraft don't meet that intent, change my mind. Also Fat Amy can't carry HARM...so there is that. Edit: Also, Roll 'em!
