  1. Past hour
  2. We all need to stop pretending like this is some sort of new phenomenon. The Doctor who discovered germs was ridiculed to the point of being declared insane, and dying because of it. Doctors have never been particularly accommodating to change, because doctors are just humans with a higher capacity for knowledge retention and association. But that improved software is still running on the same dumb ape hardware. It's anything, doctors are even more stubborn and willing to kill people due to their pride than normal people. Too much ego. Don't make friends with doctors. Especially the young ones. The horror stories you will hear about how many people die in hospitals because of senior citizen doctors refusing to retire is absolutely terrifying.
  3. That was amazing. Adding that to my movies review channels (pitch meetings, honest movie trailers, and the critical drinker).
  4. What drives a supposed doctor who is training to follow science to such a woke response. Saying a yes no answer is political. What is wrong with saying a biological man can't give birth? I fully accept that people identify as the opposite sex...there is likely something physical driving those thoughts and you are free to be who you want in the land of the free...but you can't give birth and you should not compete against biological women.
  5. Today
  6. And at the same time, they wonder half the country isn't listening to them since they're the "experts". Zero humility, zero accountability when they're wrong. And in the last 6 years they don't even seem capable of admitting that they were wrong, instead they double down on what is clearly stupidity. There was a point that doctors thought smoking was just fine. They admitted they were wrong and fixed it. If that were today, you'd have those same doctors recommending to smoke 3 packs a day.
  7. Yeah, the livery could be better. Dark grey like the A350 concept would work better with standard type for the US AIR FORCE or alternatively a MATS heritage livery…
  8. The NTSB did an update to the crash investigation. It appears that the aft spherical bearing race was cracked in half at the grease groove which caused excessive movement of the aft pylon mount.
  9. Naw man, I think those dudes got sick of opposing view points and retreated to their safe spaces. Or they created burner accounts because they identify as being pussies.
  10. Looks like a war crime to me
  11. If you think your unit (or larger organization) is fucked without you, you have been misled. Everyone is a replaceable cog, including every single black border pipe hitter. Take pride in the good things you accomplish in your career, work hard at what matters, but don’t think for a second you’re the lynch pin that holds the whole thing together - you’re not. Operate with that mentality and you’ll be much less stressed and happier.

My bad....he is FROM New York...which explains even more. In other news there is movement on Machine Guns.
  14. I’m in a similar boat. At least I won’t be checking MyFSS 4x a day anymore! At least until Feb. Is anyone doing anything to prepare? As an RPA bro, I feel more prepared for UPT than IPT. I want to know more about the learning environment at IPT, compared to Doss (are the civilian CFIs trying to emulate mil flight training?) and how students’ experiences across the locations may be different.
  15. That “Dr” went full waltz, you never go full waltz. the medical community is a laughing stock at this point.
  16. Your math checks. Crosschecked last year's PSDM for FY25 wirh 26 and it was to expect assignments as early as March last year and this year's states February. This tracks given our board was a month and a half earlier in the year. Just frustrating we got notified of selection relatively early with official release in the first week of Nov vs mid Nov as the stated tentative release. Now we're past 60 days potentially not getting assignments until 90 days. Passed my last checkride in the 9 yesterday so sitting with my hand hovering over the brain dump button awaiting an assignment.
  17. Reading through the FY25 forum, assignments were loaded ~60 days after PSDM release; the earliest RNLTDs ranged from 1-3 months from then. Within a few days, people were reporting RNLTDs of 4-8 months after release (8 months seemed to be an outlier.) One person’s theory was that dates were being given based on order of merit (more competitive selects were given earlier dates) but this is not confirmed. If our timeline is similar, and assignments are loaded next month, I estimate the first RNLTDs in April-June, with some in July-September. Feel free to read through last year’s board and check my math.

He's actually from Connecticut, known as the “Constitution State” because its Fundamental Orders (1639) considered one of the first written constitutions and historically important in manufacturing, especially firearms (Colt, Winchester); but now known for being one of the most restrictive gun-law regimes in the U.S.! This is a Senate amendment (SA 4159/2973) to the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act (H.R. 3944), the latter providing money for building and maintaining military facilities, housing and infrastructure and including funding for bases, training facilities, and projects that support readiness and quality of life for service members as well as allocating funds for the Department of Veterans Affairs for healthcare, benefits, and programs for veterans including medical centers, mental health services and modernization of VA systems. It is not a coincidence that it was tied to this bill! By the way, $200 in 1934 is approximately worth $5,224 in 2026 when adjusted for inflation.
  19. By her inferred, but mostly withheld, logic those under 18 years old could identify as voter's of voting age; that is following her science. Time and biology are just assignments of choice anyhow. (/s) Good thing voting rights aren't binary based on ageist-rules. Whew, dodged that one. Wouldn't be chaos at all! Also seemingly follows that Red states voter's could identify as voter's in Blue states becuase choice. Hooray for whatever! (/s) However seriously, society has norms for a reason, one being common understanding and rules for which to organize itself.
  20. Unfortunately many of us don't realize this stuff until we're well into our career. The system will drop you faster than you can say integrity first. So much of the daily bullshit is completely unneeded. Honestly, how much time do you suppose the average officer blew formatting, or redoing, OPRs because white space is a mortal sin. How much of that data was inflated bullshit? How many TDY's/deployments were unneeded? How many jobs have you guys done in the AOR, that could have been done at home, or not done at all? I've know I've done a job at the deid, that could have easily been done from any SIPR terminal in the U.S (During rona, they in fact, did that same job remotely...so it clearly could be done). I had to justify why I couldn't have done a TDY via secure VTC, when I'm moving an F-16 to a depot facility. Why is that same shit not applied to jobs/deployments? Now, this isn't to say the service did do great things for me, because it truly did. I have great memories, I did some amazing flying, developed great skills, I have friends who have become family, and I'll hopefully get a decent pension/medical when I turn 60. But what young guys need to understand, is that the day your retire, you'll get your litho, maybe a medal, and nice pat on the back "thank you"...then the system will continue just fine without you.
  21. We have people on this forum who believe that men can become women, so yeah, the crazy is real.

I've wanted a suppressor for a while but just can't And for reasons that defy my meager intellectual abilities the DOJ keeps defending the NFA in court.
  23. This beatdown was Freaking EPIC!
  24. brabus replied to VL-16's topic in Squadron Bar
How about there’s a $4709 tax you have to pay to vote. Same thing Chris, you dipshit.
  25. ClearedHot replied to VL-16's topic in Squadron Bar
Dems launching another attack on the 2nd amendment. Senator Chris Murphy (D) NY), is pushing an amendment that will raise the NFA Tax Stamp to $4709 per item.
