This is hard to read!  This is not supposed to happen in the US!

Well, we spent all summer in protest mode.  It was foolish to think that wouldn't cut both ways.

Ahhhh, yes, I remember back when Al Gore took to the airwaves to trash democratic processes, berate his fellow party members for not supporting him, and to call on his supporters to rush the Capitol (and Supreme Court) when he believed the election was stolen from him/there were ballot irregularities.

Now they are reportedly shooting into the chambers. I seem to recall half of this forum claiming that only antifa/BLM protests were violent. Delusional.

So, once this guy is arrested, what do they charge him with?  Insurrection and revolution are terms people like to throw around...but when some idiot actually tries it???

Yeah this is embarrassing, what's next, they set up hobo camps in the middle of cities and shutdown public roads for weeks?

I don't care who you're for, that's funny 😂

Well for one people like MacKenzie Scott probably wouldn’t have donated $9B. Yeah there are some “filthy rich” people, but many of them donate shitloads of money, collectively provide millions of jobs, etc. They may be “selfish” in your eyes, but that doesn’t mean they’re not simultaneously contributing a substantial amount to our economy and way of life. Bottom line - not a zero sum game and we need those people far more than we don’t need them.

On another note, doesn't look like your guys' guesses about billionaire philanthropy were based very much in reality.

BUT JEFF BEZOS MAX A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION OF $10B TO THE... Bezos Fund.

the honorable thing for trump to at this point would be to resign
I think he's way past that point... Though maybe he'll just rage quit as a final crazy statement.

It sure is going to be an interesting couple of weeks, that's for sure.

This situation isn't funny in the least, but what if upon Biden taking office he points at the former President and says "You're fired"?

Is that Sim, or Seadogs?  I get so confused sometimes...

Sure seems like they dropped off here, must be busy building a cabin and searching Parlor for more evidence.

No, what's happening in DC right now is not right or justified; but calling this "protesting" wasn't either!

Exactly!  Forgot to clarify "much like Portland, Chicago, et al" as far as "protesting"
