The management of the border crisis starts to make a lot more sense when you realize it’s a deliberate strategy and not actually incompetence. Its a long game play of trying to import as many future Democrat voters into the country as possible; whether through an amnesty/citizenship future bill or at the very least through the birth of children of those who crossed illegally Honestly it proves the subtle racism of the democrats that they expect that anyone with dark skin should automatically vote for them. Although I guess that’s not a surprising development when the president already said “You ain’t black” if you don’t vote for him. That line has to be one of the most openly racist things a president has said in recent history. But it didn’t come in the form of a mean tweet so I guess it’s okay? Its an absolute clown show running this country right now.

I'd say she's doing a bang-up (sts, but perhaps not given her "rise" to fame early in her career...) job of managing the border crisis. Especially the eyes on the ground part of the effort. President Biden is in Britain and was incoherent while speaking to RAF Mildenhall airmen. Acting POTUS Jill Biden had to lead him around, literally, chastise him to "pay attention." And now he's representing the US at the G7 summit. And utterly lost and confused looking for his pudding. But he's not putting out any mean tweets. Or had a press conference or even spoken to reporters for nearly 80 days. Good times are here again because the mean tweets have stopped. Except the ones by China.

Absolutely, and it would be really cool to get an international oval. They used to race the oval in Japan, it would be awesome to see that back. There are also a couple of ovals down in Mexico that are a good size for IndyCar (similar to Iowa) but would need safety upgrades. With Pato Oward being Mexican and becoming a top driver, that might be worth it though. But yeah man, it’s honestly the best pure racing out there right now. I encourage anyone I know who’s into motorsports to watch IndyCar.

My assumption is they’d have zero play in the planning/weapons loading part, just in the “throw that shit out that back at this point/time” part.

It's all about getting a "good" year for retirement purposes. You must fulfill your IMA category requirements to earn a good year. AT is AT period. You only get your 14 days annually for that. For MPA days, that will depend. If the office/unit is short-staffed, then MPAs are easy to come by. It's all about annual funding. But you also can earn good year points for PME and other stuff. My last six years were as an AGR. The rest of the office were IMAs. I was there for the 24/7 coverage if the bell rang until the IMAs could ride in. Since it was a 16/7 shift at the FAA's Command Center, it was easy to get orders when guys needed some help during furloughs, etc. Been years and years since I worked there, but the National Air Traffic Services Cell only hired rated and ATC personnel due to the interface with the FAA. Was a good gig. I was also a IMA historian for a bit as well that turned into long-term orders. I accumulated enough points to ring the 20 year retirement bell just as if I'd stayed active duty. There are IMAs at Red Flag as well. It's obvious when they would pull tours and getting extra days wasn't difficult there either. The point of this wandering is to say that IMAs are in lots of unexpected places. Talk to a reserve recruiter. YMMV but IMAs are a pretty good non-flying gig.

Preach dude. I watch both when I can, F1 gets the glory but Indy car is far better from a spectator standpoint if you commit to it. It's all racing with minimal drama. This season has been unreal and I love the mix of drivers, young kids, former F1, Nascars JJ. Today's finish was awesome (won't spoil in case there are other fans). A secret part of me is hoping Daniel Ricciardo ends up driving in Indy at some point (he got burned leaving RB but gotta risk it to get the biscuit). I could see some of these young dudes running in F1 in a couple years potentially just for the money if nothing else, but I hope the cost caps return F1 to how it should be. I hope the series keeps growing. I wish Indy kept the Panoz DP01 from Champ pre merger. That car had it all: looks, sound, everything. Also they need a couple more permanent international circuits, like maybe a Mexico race and Brazil to tap a bigger fan base. Seeing stands empty on TV is a total shame.

I would genuinely like to hear from a Biden supporter on this thread. I’d like to hear how they think things are going and what their perspective is. I’m trying to find reasons to be hopeful for this administration but I’m not having much luck.

I’d guess they won’t be too crazy about picking up on that piece, but it’ll totally depend on your employer. If they go for it, it’s ~2-2.5 years worth of training/differential pay, so it’s definitely a huge help if you can make it happen.

Yep, and it requires little-to-no additional training for airdrop qualified crews. I can see very little reason not to have this as a hip-pocket cape.
