missed an incredible opportunity to call it the HAWK-TUA (transport, unmanned aircraft)

Should check out Chad Powers the new tv show. Think the coach is somewhat based off Kiffin at least appearance wise. Hilarious and worth the watch if you a college football fan.
-
Would guess that this would not be an overall cut of the force. More likely the opposite. Just a manning reallocation. Maybe the tech has improved, but at one point launching an RPA sortie was greater than the similar manned sortie in terms of manning and dollars.

If DeBoer can leave before Saturday, it would be great. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Interesting to see a firefighting version.

Have you watched the special on Kiffin? You really should, I think you might have a different opinion after watching what his daughter did and his new sense of peace at Ole Miss. That funny, the real word is he replaces Norvelll (yes with three Ls), because after they buyout Mike they won't have the cash for a real coach.

It doesn't surprise me regarding Napier. I could see Kiffin taking the job - It has a higher ceiling than where he currently sits when things align. Absolutely no way Kalen DeBoer goes to Penn State. That is a lesser job. I'm hearing rumors of Napier to Miami...

Initial Pilot Training and Future Pilot Training

RCAF getting a multi engine trainer, CT-145 Expeditor II, about 40 hours aircraft 55 hours simulator Sounds like they privatized most of their pilot training https://www.key.aero/article/canadas-new-trainer-aircraft-names-announced Just buy a ME trainer, earlier in this thread someone noticed that the T-7 buy would likely not meet the primary and continuing training requirements, you’re gonna need it. Fix the glitch early -

You know you’re going to have a great time when you have to hand prop! -
Lots of chatter that Napier will be gone on Sunday regardless if the Gators win or lose. UF is currently negotiating with Lane Kiffin and Eli Drinkwitz. Another rumor says they are also considering James Franklin. Kiffin has openly stated he wants to be Steve Spurrier, but if you watch the recent documentary on him, it is obvious he has found peace and a home in Oxford. Break Break - Kalen DeBoer is being linked to the Penn State job. Bama fans will lose their minds. College football is crazy!

Where are the emergency escape hatches for PAX? And what does a robo-bailout or brace or egress callout sound like? Dude might say, "Hey U-Hawk, hey Matrix, hey AI...open the emergency 'escape' single point of entry/exit/clanshell". UHawk might respond, ' Danger Spc. Will Robinson! Danger.' Though, It could deliver my Uber Eats Chipotle order. That'd be impressive.

People dying. Think plane crash, etc.

Is that a gondola pole? When I flew with Huggy he may have tried to hand-start the prop, but he still knew about powered flight 😂😂 - Yesterday

Can you give a snapshot of what the program looks like now? Very curious since the T-1 has gone away.

Do they track RPA or a specific airframe? Are any of those people Georgia Guardsmen?

Question for the masses. We’ve all seen countless CRs, a few shutdowns, endless dysfunction, petty politics, division, etc. from our politicians over the years. I know I have in my almost 25 years in the military. To me, this one feels much much different given the state of politics in our country. I think this may be a tipping point of some sort. A time in our history where the government actually stops functioning, where the two sides won’t budge and can’t come to an agreement on even basic issues. I think the hate is as real as the egos. I can see this one dragging out long enough to the point where critical functions are severely impacted like the military, TSA, ATC, etc. My question is, what trip wires do you all see in our system to either prevent this or end this if these politicians can’t work through things? Thoughts?

My guess is Israel will not follow the historical US path, which is leave/stop conducting kinetic ops in place X, allowing the vacuum of “peace” to fill right back in with whatever terrorist orgs were there previously. If they do follow suit, then give it a couple years and Hamas will be right back to a meaningful force strength. The peace deal is historic, but it’s naive to think any peace deal made with Islamic terrorists is going to last. My bet is Israel realizes that and will act accordingly.
-
I can’t see this ending well for Hamas. They are losing their leverage by returning the hostages so far. Zero chance they disarm and go away. They are going to get ran to ground in the end. Keep US troops out of it and take the win.

If anyone was wondering why the U.S. Army plans to cut 6,500 aviation jobs from the active duty ranks over the next two years, here's your answer! UH-60 Black Hawk Cargo Drone With Clamshell Nose Breaks Cover The new U-Hawk can lug thousands of pounds of cargo internally that would never fit in a standard Black Hawk, and launch scores of its own drones and munitions. Sikorsky has unveiled a new, fully uncrewed version of the Black Hawk helicopter with a completely transformed front end that swaps out the cockpit for clamshell doors. Depending on how it is configured, what has been dubbed the U-Hawk can move thousands of pounds of outsized cargo internally and slung underneath, deploy uncrewed ground vehicles, and fire dozens of “launched effects” like surveillance and reconnaissance drones and loitering munitions. A U-Hawk demonstrator, converted from an ex-U.S. Army UH-60L, is on display at the Association of the U.S. Army’s (AUSA) main annual conference in Washington, D.C., which opened today and at which TWZ is in attendance. Sikorsky, now a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, also refers to the design as the S-70 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), with S-70 being the company’s internal model number for H-60 variants. “A lot of our customers said, hey, I need to be able to move things into theater, and I need to be able to move them in mass. And a lot of the drones out there may be able to carry 100 pounds, may be able to carry 500 pounds,” Rich Benton, Sikorsky Vice President and General Manager, told TWZ and other outlets during a press call earlier this month. “We look introspectively, what do we have? Well, we actually have an autonomous Black Hawk today, our OPV, optionally piloted. But why couldn’t we just take the cockpit out of that and make that a UAS?”... Which is a 100% guarantee not going to happen. I’m honestly surprised Israel didn’t go to 100% destruction/expulsion and take every square inch of Gaza land.
