My post was regarding Mandami freezing rent, which was part of his campaign (also thought I saw a video of him calling the city to lower rent?). Currently less than 1% have rent controls, and as you correctly stated, less than 50% are rent stabilized, which yet still allows rent to be increased year after year. But I agree with you that this will be a disaster.

About 50% of NYC apartments are rent stabilized or controlled. And the mayor appoints all 9 members of rent guidelines board. So yes, he will have significant power to drive the supply side further into the shitter.

I have always dreamed of being a fighter pilot in the navy or Air Force. I was going to try to get into one of the academies, but I was diagnosed with a fish allergy when I was 13 that I needed an EpiPen for so I just gave up, knowing that the allergy was disqualifying (I finally got tested for the allergy after a bad reaction, but had a history of reactions to fish when I was little). Fast forward a few years now, I just had an appointment with my allergist and we did bloodwork to see where my allergy was at. I tested negative for every type of fish except still slightly positive for cod. We then did a cod food challenge where I ate a whole cod fillet and I had no reaction at all, so my allergist said the allergy was resolved (I grew out of it). I then ate cod everyday for two weeks as instructed and I was completely fine. Iām now entering freshman year of college and am considering AFROTC (or potentially OTS/OCS after college). Do I have any chance of getting a waiver? I know I was diagnosed after the 12 years old cutoff, but I find it hard to believe Iād be DQād for an allergy I genuinely donāt have anymore. Thank you!

Break break from previous post: Has anyone here put their airplane in an LLC and leased to a flight school? A good friend owns the school and is very meticulous with aircraft mx, cleanliness, etcā¦he likes nice things and does everything possible to keep them nice. Iām not really worried about the wear/tear - someone jacks it up, thatās what insurance is for. So Iām good with that part of the conversation, more interested in what ways have you seen agreements work well vs. donāt recommend. Things like who pays for what (directly vs. reimbursed), how does money flow between the customer/flight school/your LLC, etc. If you have any firsthand data on this subject, please DM me (or put it here if you think everyone else wants to read it).

You are not far off the target, my time in tankers 01-05 had a LOT of one to a full stop at the Died flying essentially the same mission 2-3 days in a row. Complacency and expectation bias was a real CRM / ORM issue. Variety is the spice of life and necessary in the development of a military aviator

My only comparison to heavies is the airlines, which I know isnāt apples to apples, but I donāt think itās far off much of the time. These styles of flying allow for significant decay of stick/rudder skills and dealing with EPs/abnormals/unintended events that require them (vs. manipulating automation/simply pushing buttons). It is a disservice to young pilots especially not having ACE - the mil is holding them back on advancing their skills/maintaining solid proficiency. Thereās a lot of airline pilots who could really use some GA time for this reason, and the ones who donāt care and rest on their 6900 airline hours donāt seem to realize they donāt really have 6900 hrs of flying, they have 6900 hrs of managing computers and rinse/repeating the same taxi flows/departures/arrivals (over generalization a bit, but point remains).

I bet those T-37 hours were probably 10% the cost of -135 hours and at that point in your flying career twice as valuable in building airmanship. Resurrect ACE, fly COs after UPT thru a solid 300 hour min program. Give the new ACE program T-6s from AETC (after an avionics update) then recapitalize UPT with PC-21s, T-6Cs or M-345sā¦ or this training aircraft offered by Grob https://gaf-aerospace.com/tpx-cobra-en.html#:~:text=The TPX is a low-wing%2C side-by-side%2C two-seater,turboprop engine with 750 HP%2C 7-blade propeller. One more thing, ACE was unfortunately before my day but I believe it was there to give COs flying hours they werenāt getting sitting alert to assure pilot development and to aid the development and timing of Aircraft Commander eligible (by hours) pilots of whatever aircraft they were assigned. Good for the pilot and good for the Air Force. ACE 2.0 would serve the same / similar rationale, cheaper flight hours developing Aircraft Commander eligible pilots sooner, less expensive and less wear and tear on an already well utilized fleet of aircraft

@HuggyU2 I have the X4 and just this week mounted it externally via a mount that attaches to my underwing tie down. I had it up to 180 Knots IAS and it didn't shake a bit.
