Probably but the ACE capability of the 390 vs the MOB centric employment of the 46 is worth the investigation methinks I hate corporate buzzwords and phrases but “family of systems” is probably the only way to look at this mission set / capability delivery Big Wing to cross the main body of water Manned Tactical to operate to the FARPs and just inside the A2AD bubble Unmanned to go with the 35, 47, 21 to the drop off point Going back specifically to the Tactical Tanker, if it’s to be acquired IMHO it’s gotta be a jack of all trades good enough at all platform Tanker + light transport, medevac, launch/sensor/network platform Cost to acquire, operate then need to reflect that need for a lot of pretty good execution but not perfect The KC-390 would be the pricey option in that case and the regional airliner / biz jets would be the less expensive options Less expensive probably leads to more tails acquired and that probably plugs the gaps in Indo-Pacom and enduring requirements in other areas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Without major acquisition reform, even with its challenges, the KC-46 is the better platform for boom AAR. The KC-390 could potentially compete with the -130 for drogue AAR capes, but I'm not expert enough to compare and contrast it's cargo and AAR capes with the Herk.
-
I suspect you are aware the -46 will not be carrying 18 pallets ever, 10 is generous. ISUs are compatible, but commercial parts support is a pipe dream without acquisition reform. Unless we have a robust and diverse tanker fleet, 473L pallet compatibility with tankers is not a relevant capability for us (unpopular opinion). Potentially relevant for our allies.

Six. However, the -135 wasn't designed to carry pallets, which is why the pallet cargo load was designed decades later. The MRTT also can't carry ISU-80/90 due to height restrictions of the forward and aft cargo hold. The KC-46 can carry 18 pallets in a side-by-side configuration, can carry ISU-80/90s, and also has worldwide parts support and three allied users currently have or are in the process of receiving their jets.

SEC officiating has been pretty atrocious the last 5 yrs or so, and getting worse. Something needs to be done. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Yes it was. I attended the LSU vs Ole Miss (Go Rebs!), the stadium was electric and it was a great game to attend. Horrible officiating...closing out the 3rd quarter the refs had called 14 penalties against Ole Miss and failed to review the fumble into the end zone. The B-2 Bro's had everyone fired up! Funny story line with Lane Kiffen's Daughter is dating a star LSU linebacker Whit Weeks. The kid posted a picture with Kiffin's daughter trying to troll Kiffin before the game. Lane EPICALLY trolled the kid in the post game interview.

Everybody loves the herk!

Established tanker with worldwide parts supported and allied users. How many can the 135 carry?

Pics! No far-shot video! Or it didnt happen...Adalaide Stone... AI Overview: Yes, Oregon does take arrest photos (mugshots), but state law strictly limits their public release, allowing them to be shared only in limited circumstances such as when critical for public safety to apprehend a suspect, when needed for a potential victim to come forward, or if the person has been convicted of the crime for which they were arrested

Ramp spotter in Portland catches girl in video jumping into C-130. Gets arrested. Hopefully she got face planted into the anti-skid.

The suspicion is that these drones are Russian but my bet is on FAA drones like the ones over Lagney and Wright-Patterson!

Been a minute since my last HF shot, but do we have airborne target TTPs now? I mean, the Pk against ground movers wasn’t eye watering, and you had to get a bunch of variables just right.
-
Ok. Let's run with that. Do hellfire missiles home into targets or lead them? Do they function against high speed airborne targets? Do they also look like drops of water on IR? That's all before we get into the fun of IR reflection vs emission. One of the most alarming things to me about the continued and well-deserved loss of trust in our leaders and institutions is how wide the aperture conspiracy becomes. Aliens? Really?
-
No. That object has IR emissivity, and has been intentionally tracked…hence the tight auto-track gate. He’s also using a designator on the object. Highly doubtful he was doing that for laser hand-off or just to get refined movement information.

What a spectacular day of football! Great games!. Days like these don’t happen often enough.

Who remembers the step test? It was a crowd favorite in the winter because we'd run outside down to some damn cold temps/wind chills. -

You guys are not looking at the positives of the twice a year PT test. There is no reason to try for a 90/95% since you have to take it twice a year anyways. Min run that shit. The Kool aid drinkers will still try for high scores, so maybe once they're generals they at least won't be fat. -

Well, you are getting pre-angry based on a speculative article by a disreputable source. And I did say "might" while you're calling names. Valid shot and you're quibbling 🇺🇸
