  2. I know very little about him besides the recent uniform focus shenanigans. What are his negatives?
  3. That’s been a common issue with the Android app. Embedded YouTube links usually don’t render due to how the app handles iframe content. Watching through the browser fixes it for now. The crash when switching tabs is likely from a cache bug, clearing the app data helps until they release an update.
  4. That’s a known issue with the mobile app. The images don’t render correctly when uploaded through certain browsers or older app versions. Try viewing the same thread in Safari or Chrome instead of the app—it usually loads fine there until they patch it.
  5. Ran into this situation during our PCS. The housing office mostly cared about whether the letter came from a real provider who actually evaluated the case. I went through Wellness Wag because they did the clinical review part without the long wait. After that, they asked for a behavior check. If your dog is laid back, that usually goes smoother in person than on the form. Changing the listed breed rarely works. Showing the dog is safe and trainable works better.
  6. Yeah, it happens when the admin forgets to renew the SSL certificate. It usually gets fixed once they update it through their hosting or certificate provider. If you still see warnings, clearing the browser cache or waiting a day after renewal helps too.
  7. There isn’t a true “mute” option for users here. The best you can do is use the ignore feature in your account settings. It hides posts and messages from specific users, but you’ll still see their quoted replies in other posts. Not perfect, but it helps clean up threads a bit.
  8. Yeah, it’s been rough lately. The ads stack on top of each other and slow everything down. I started using an ad blocker just to make the forum usable again. Makes a huge difference if you haven’t tried it yet.
  9. Here's a funny. I don't think I could fool anyone I'm a bot but I asked Chat GPT the other day a random question about the B-21. I have no insight and I'm certainly not wanting anyone to reveal anything they shouldn't but when I asked it how many LRSOs could be loaded on a B-21 it calculated just over 6 (of course you can't load a partial missile) based on open-source information and some assumptions base on known dimensions of the things like the ALCM etc. How accurate the calculation turns out to be remains to be seen.

    Gun Talk

This stupid shit was going on decades ago when I first enlisted. Sky cops would routinely shoot each other playing "quick draw" with their duty pistols at ECPs. Nothing more dangerous than a bored military cop with a firearm...
  12. Socialism is merely a stepping stone to communism, Marx said that (paraphrasing). Yeah they’re technically different in some ways, but they’re also very intertwined. Frankly who gives a shit, they’re both bad - people try to use the technical distinctions as a “look how smart I am/dumb you are,” but reality is they’re not that smart and “you” aren’t that dumb. Bottom line - both bad, capitalism better (despite the problems that capitalism has), history has proven that for 100% of the earth’s existence since these systems originated.

So failure to adhere to one of the most basic gun safety principles. You can’t fix stupid.
  14. Have you listened to Mamdani? "communist" isn't far off the mark. Communism is to socialism what nirvana is to Buddhism.
  15. Its called Type 2 TDS, where Trump's kind of deranged thoughts/words/posts are mimicked. His CBS interview, they asked him about Mamdani, Trump called him a commie, interviewer corrected him that Mamdani is a socialist democrat, he just reiterated, Communist, don't argue.
  16. I'm not sure that either comparison is good. I know that some people on the right do the "everyone I don't agree with is a communist" thing as well. It just gets tired hearing those words (fascist, communist) tossed around by people who don't know what they mean.
  17. ADMIN NOTE: Thanks, I wasn't tracking until you mentioned it; then I looked at his posts and all followed the same style. I admit I use AI to grab info, but all of his responses look like they are completely AI generated. lilyelliott4, your account is locked. PM me if you aren't a bot and I will consider unlocking it. Otherwise, it'll be deleted shortly. p.s., I also removed the Thai fitness webpage link. Sorry guys, but there wasn't anything interesting on there! I had to check for the good of BaseOps! 😁😁
  18. I learned in a Supercub that had a 135HP Lycoming...it was a beast and I thought normal ops for a Cub. There is NOTHING like slipping a Cub (or other taildragger), over the tree to a greaser one wheel landing on the grass....best if done at Sunset. I am currently shopping airpark runway options. I looked at a 5280' grass strip on 80 acres two weeks ago. Looking at 361 acres this week.

Airmen plead guilty to false statements in shooting that suspended M18 "Details about his death were released for the first time Friday, including that the alleged shooter, Marcus White-Allen, had pointed the gun at Lovan’s chest in a “joking manner.” White-Allen after the shooting allegedly urged the other two surviving airmen to lie about what happened, according to the statement."
  20. What is the fascination with Stalin (an actual radical left communist) all about?
  21. I did the interview, didn't get picked up. I think if I had interviewed after flying the KC-135 I would have done better, but I wasn't getting the plane perfectly aligned with the centerline with a crosswind. I'm eventually going to build our house on an airpark, and I'm really looking forward to learning to fly a tail dragger. I got to once and it was a hoot. Oh we both know we could... But no one ever wants to spend the money on training. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  22. Thanks for the -135 write up...I can see it was a handful especially after it was reengined. Ha, let me know if you are flying a squirrely tail dragger at 76. Fighter (RF-4C) was easy to fly/formate/land after the lightweight -38 in UPT. Employing it was a different matter. Have a lot of time in the B-727 (same cockpit as -135). Still one of my favorites to have flown. How did you get 3 flights in the U-2? I applied to the SR-71 and the most I got was a ride in the chase car during a launch. At least Huggy let me peek in the cockpit of the U-2 at OSH. WRT UPT we had a class of approx 50 with not that many SIE's or washouts. We were one of the first classes that implemented the bottom 10% rule with a mix of a/c because of SAC complaints. Hard to believe we can't come up with a better training a/c after 50+ years with the -38.
  23. I thought about cropping the dudes out of the picture in my reply, but then thought, nah, we'll see where they take this.
  24. I don't know and certainly more to the story. I thought the white and also by all appearances unmarked vehicle moved into her. Normally an accident no more severe than this would be investigated by local PD. Take her information and let local PD take her into custody since she was a US Citizen. I'm curious why it appears all charges were dropped as well. https://www.newsweek.com/us-citizen-dragged-car-border-patrol-chicago-10924948
  25. I'm willing to review your package if you send me a message
  26. I didn’t want ENJJPT. I only want heavies. So I didn’t volunteer for ENJJPT. I've been on heavies my entire career. Other than now flying RPA's but Fighters aren't for me and I know I can go to ENJJPT and potentially drop a heavy, but ENJJPT is geared towards fighters. I'm in my early 30's and just want to fly heavies to finish out my career. When I first joined, I worked on MC-130Js then cross trained and became a flight engineer on KC-10's.
  27. Almost looks like she tried to cut off the LEO’s vehicle.
