Buddy Spike
This is about as WTF as it gets. But then again, could it be a ploy to get a conviction for murder while committing a felony? By claiming "stand your ground" he has essentially admitted to killing the homeowner in the process of committing a felony...armed at that. It would APPEAR the state may be setting up the perfect confession. I'm not a SC Justice (I just studied SC Justiceology for one semester in college) but, I would say "stand your ground" doesn't apply when you are committing a crime. If that's the case, any criminal being chased by the cops who subsequently kills a cop can just claim that he thought his life was in danger... Nothing surprises me anymore... Yeah, generally you only have the right to stand your ground in a place you're lawfully allowed to be. Trespassing is not included.

contraildash
It sounds more like they are trying to work out the queep on the pre tiral hearings in this case. I think this is the key paragraph: The arguments the high court wants to hear apparently don’t involve the substance of the law – they involve at what point in a trial process a judge should hold a full hearing about whether evidence can be introduced about whether the defendant can assert that he enjoys immunity from prosecution because he was in fear for his life when he used deadly force. If a judge were to grant immunity, then a trial would not have to be held. It seems that the defense attorney is butt hurt that the judge dismissed the motion for a full pre trial hearing (because it's absurd), but since the law wasn't clear on this point he decided to file the emergency petition with the S.C supreme court. It's a matter of if a full pre trial hearing required. Not a change in the law. Don't worry, this guy is still gonna fry. On a side note, good on law enforcement for re-examining the evidence. The murder was in 2005, they picked up this douchbag in 2012. Edited July 13, 2013 by contraildash
Rusty Pipes
So Rolling Stone Magazine decides to put the piece of shit Boston Marathon bomber on their cover... good luck ever selling another copy of that magazine anywhere near New England for a while. Way to glorify a murderer... WTF?!?
gmwalk
I am so angry about the Rolling Stone cover. They are just scum. They make him look like a sweet, lovable, but miss-guided kid. He is a stupid, loser that was too dumb to even understand why he was doing what he did. Total asshat; and Rolling Stone is a bunch of morons that should know better. If Rolling Stone wanted to do any kind of story about the Boston bombings they should have put a picture of Martin Richards, the eight year old, that was killed by this cuddly murders. Smokin
Obviously Trevon's baby picture. Maybe the ultrasound of him in the womb if it was still available.

Vertigo
You might want to read the article again. The Roman Catholic Church (which puts out doctrine and the Cannon) is lead by the Vatican, not a Catholic Hospital. And it also leads the hospitals. And the hospital argued, in a legal case, that a fetus is not a human. When they got press about the church back tracked and said "oh lets re-examine this before we get more bad press for being hypocites"
HeloDude
Show me where the Vatican says this or just admit that you're wrong. Unless you want to argue that the President himself initiated and ran Fast and Furious, targeting Tea Party Groups, tapped phone lines, dismissed a sexual assualt case, messed up my tax returns, and on and on.

M2
Bwahahahahaha! What a dumbass! Woman Distracts Homeowner by Swimming Nude While Husband Burglarizes Home According to police, the man was approached by a neighbor nearly half his age when she asked if she could go swimming in his pool. While the woman’s husband had left to “get her cigarettes” the woman asked the homeowner if he would mind if she swam in the nude. He replied by saying no, he did not mind if the woman was in his swimming pool naked. After some time, the homeowner thought the party was over, but he was wrong. “I went and got her a towel, she dried off and all of a sudden she was soaking wet again. I escorted her outside and invited her to church, but she said she didn’t have time for that, she wasn’t ready for that,” the homeowner said. Victim Stephen Amaral says he feels violated by the theft...
