Just wait until the rest of the bond market realizes that the Fed is not going back to their 2% target inflation rate anytime in next few decades. These rates will seem pretty good.

AFPC has always been great with this board! They helped me get my most recent OPB with a solid strat submitted and added to my file this week. Very on top of everything. I wouldn’t worry too much about strats within your org. Obviously it gives you points but they pull a lot of additional info for your file, so if you’re a strong performer it’ll show, even if your Group/Wing had their own rating criteria. Big week next week! Good luck all!

@LookieRookie Did a contractor like Ascent referenced above ever approach AETC about a long term program like the Brits have? -

Very convenient to now be employed there after being on the other side of the table from them https://redstate.com/jimthompson/2025/09/18/disgracednavy-4-star-robert-burke-sentenced-to-6-years-in-prison-n2194101 -
Hegseth, Noam, and Gabbard have not impressed me, although hegseth would be the highest rating of the three in my opinion. Patel is doing great. But I also don't think it's particularly relevant. I view this administration as chemotherapy. An ugly reality that does a great deal of damage to the host, but it's necessary to removal a fatal malignancy.

Yup but effective

Not very sporting of them.

-
Around August 30th would be good. The Taliban like to have a big parade with most of their leadership in the bleachers.
-
Gabbard has been the standout IMO.
-
Patel: FBI crushing crime well beyond former admins Hegseth: Many improvements on mil conduct/culture Noem: Crushing illegal immigration Gabbard: Fighting hard against all the rot in the IC Nobody is without flaws, but 30K ft view without nit picking, why do you not support the above things these individuals are accomplishing as the leaders of their respective orgs?
-
Yep. And Patel. And Hesgeth. And Noem. And Gabbard.

I never understood the allure, other than the fact she's pretty and Trump loves hiring pretty women. Trump was correct to hire cabinet heads who are aligned with his vision and ready to follow orders, but they need to be like Marco Rubio, not trying to mimic Donald Trump's bombast and hyperbole, and serve as the professional face of the administration. Rubio has been the surprise All-Star of this administration, and as long as he can maintain this balance, JD Vance is going to have strong competition for the nomination in a few years

On that note, Pam Bondi - she is wildly off base and needs to get fired immediately. Biggest disappointment of all the major nominees.
-
Agreed. You can tell each cabinet position or govt head is just looking for ways to get an attaboy from the new big guy. It's pretty disgusting
-
The FCC involvement in Kimmel getting fired is concerning. I'm not sure if that was what pushed everything over the edge, but it was a completely unnecessary interjection, and it is contrary to any conservative conception of what the government should be doing. I suspect ABC was just looking for a reason to cancel yet another of the dying-breed late night shows, but now because the FCC had to open his big stupid mouth, he turned to win into a a gaff. Also, I don't care how stupid the left is, and they are really stupid, if you are in a position of power in the government you should not be responding to journalists with memes
-
But I wouldn’t be opposed to the bomber bros wiping things off the map when required from time to time (huge terrorist training camps, etc.) No basing in country though for sure.
