Deal Carbon Cubs for TW training then the T-6, if Bobs balked at repurposing the T-6 fleet I’d want Game Bird GB1s

Definitely the wave of the future. Tooling fixtures for bending say tubing or shaping other components are pretty straightforward. If we're talking blades in an engine repeatability of mechanical properties is the difficulty. 3D printed blade sitting next to a traditional blade may appear identical, but grain structure is completely different. Even repeatability internally from one 3d blade to the next may be inconsistent. So, tell your young people to get on with the program and solve these problems.🫡 Sounds like Beehive has a workable solution for things like missiles.

I wonder about the throttle spread to get them all making the same power. Otherwise it wouldn't want to fly straight.

Someone please explain this rent control/freeze to me. Does that mean you can't ever raise the rent? Is it mandated by the city of NY? I've owned rental property in FL for 30ish years. With property tax and insurance increases I've had to raise the rent over the years. If I couldn't raise it I would be paying somebody to live in my house.

Try five engines, with three different ones on the same jet. Real good friend flew this until RR retired it 2-3 months ago.

The putin simps like bashi are confused because they got played. They thought they were voting for an idea (pro-putin) but now they realize their idol’s hurt feelings and chase for a Nobel prize are way more important.

I get you now. Carry on sir.

Let's the attention now turned to Arctic Frost.

No, no…you have it all wrong. The progressives told us it was a Republican shutdown.

Unfortuantely, there are experience and recency blind spots no matter where you find yourself in the aviation industry. When bringing guys in to fly the B-24 and B-29, I am looking for a mix of: - Multi-pilot, multiengine, "professional" flying - Day/VFR GA flying - Tailwheel experience There are a lot of other desirable traits, but these are the ones that keep the airplanes from getting wrecked.

As long as we're swinging for the fence, don't forget the fleet of Super Cubs that studs need to solo before they can move on to a turboprop.

Now that the Democrats capitulated they are devouring themselves. 40 days of chaos for absolutely NOTHING...you guys must be so proud. They are calling for Schumer's head and resignation.

HP is a leader in building some of these high end printers...printing in a type of vinyl that uses one of the most common manufacturing materials in the world. Other companies like Beehive are 3d printing jet engines out of metal powder. As you correctly point out, STEM and AI are the path to wealth for any young people who want to make a difference.

Trends in Air to Air Combat
disgruntledemployee replied to Clark Griswold's topic in General Discussion
The intricate stuff they can make with additive process is amazing, that and the advances in materials makes this a fascinating field. Anyone got a teen looking into STEM, point em this way for a looksie. -
Its called a Hipster these days.

And the Airbus A300/A310, A330, and Boeing 767. Oh, and in a ton of military marine applications (Spruance, Kidd, Oliver Hazard Perry, Ticonderoga). The CF6 class of engine is all over the place.
-
It is and that is aided by additive manufacturing which scares the crap out the OEMs. Hopefully the trend continues and we can distribute the manufacturing process to smaller companies that can 3D print key components and drive down costs while speeding acquisition.

2 Plus, let's bring back the muttonchops. That's a statement.

18 month developmental timeline is impressive.

I want to be a pilot (ideally fighters) in the Air Force or Navy. I’m currently entering my freshman year of college at a school that has AFROTC. Keep in mind, I was accepted to this school for spring semester this year, so if I do AFROTC I’ll start a semester behind most of my classmates (not sure if that changes anything). If I want to fly, should I join AFROTC when I get to school in January, or should I wait until after college and try to get a pilot slot through OTS/OCS? I wasn’t sure where my chances would be higher. I have a non-technical major, but I think I will do well in it. Thank you!

For all the history nerds here, I watched the Netflix movie Death by Lightning, the assassination of James Garfield. The first installment is how party politics was in the GOP convention. I recommend it.

Search the USAF waiver guide for anaphylaxis, but it seems like if you can eliminate the trigger there is good waiver potential.
