Apr 1: “The US imports almost no oil through the Hormuz Strait and won’t be taking any in the future. We don’t need it. We haven’t needed it, and we don’t need it.” Apr 5: “Open the F’in’ Strait you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell, JUST WATCH!” Apr 7: “subject to Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East.” Apr 12: “Effective immediately, the US Navy, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz. Any Iranian that fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!” 4D Chess guys. Stable genius. Concepts of a plan. 🤣😂😆 🤡- A-10 retirement
Not to say that they thought of everything... but they kinda thought of everything. Helps to have a Hog Driver running the design and implementation. There was "NO" way they were going to block the gunsight.- Site update killed the site
2 same. Was seeing the previous tile format. Agree with all of the above and now the fix much improved.- Track Selects and Assignment Nights
I've seen a couple of the prior C-146 guys make their way through the various FTUs at Altus. They're saying that AFSOC is downsizing, and in that process it's killing the U-28s and C-146. Granted, this is all second hand water cooler talk, so I'm sure some AFSOC dude can chime in and tell me how wrong I am.- Site update killed the site
whatever you did DFRESH fixed it...now back to a much better format...thank you! i was seeing the same thing gearhog had screenshotted. much better!- Site update killed the site
Wow, talk about Old School!- The Iran thread
From the Article linked below: "The license allowed Iran to sell its sanctioned oil to help finance its war against the United States and its allies. And Iran was profiting handsomely off its sales, selling its oil for a premium of several dollars above the price of Brent crude, the international benchmark." Unless the article is completely false, it appears Iran has not been blocked from receiving funds for the sale of previously sanctioned oil that was stuck at sea. Why Trump is Threatening to Blockade a Strait that Iran is already Blockading- What's wrong with the Air Force?
Hey now, we're ops!- The Iran thread

Second that notion. But the times change constantly. If your DO is worth his salt, he should be able to help read the terrain for you and give good advice. If not the DO, the ADOs should have an ok feel for it. Historically though, no. If you did an all flying 6-month deployment, the quantity of flying should show up in air medals and AAMs. The promotion boards are relatively good at recognizing work that's been put in.- Lighten Up Francis!

Okay. I found the problem. Somehow the default Theme got reset to that garbage that you screenshotted (is that a word). I've fixed that in the settings, and now everybody should be seeing something similar to the second screenshot that @gearhog posted. As to the above the fold vs below the fold discussion... I'm not trying to aggressively drive engagement. However, I think we should have a user-friendly design. I agree that I don't understand the difference between the Squadron Bar and the General Discussion subforums anymore. Let's be honest, almost every thread devolves into political name-calling. All of that said, I'm open to suggestions on how to streamline some of the subforums.- Site update killed the site
Hold on. What in the actual F is that last screenshot? I see (and I think most people see) the second screenshot.... Let me check some settings!- Lighten Up Francis!

I'd say the vast majority of people who visit here bypass all the other forums and go straight to General Discussion and Squadron Bar. There's so much overlap in the content that there's no real reason to have these forums separate, and they're located further down the page. New folks are interested in the "What are my chances?" and "Pilot selection process" forums. They're at the bottom of the page. There is very little interest in any of the other forums. They should be at the bottom. Not trying to call your baby ugly, and maybe you're not trying to drive traffic and engagement, but the forum is declining. If you want to stop in and see what people are talking about, which format is the most user-friendly? Not that this site should be built according to my personal tastes, but I've been here since the inception of the site and I think others may feel the same way.: It's no longer easy to login, glance at the front page, and browse the topics being discussed.- Site update killed the site
What are you talking about? The site's running normal for me...- A-10 retirement
That would be so typical AF, we have something that works, is field tested. Great now let's over engineer it, spend millions and delay it until the jet is gone.- A-10 retirement
Would be cool if it could fold down- A-10 retirement
The new $1.2M helmet system gets around that pesky issue. Just a few more years to go for fielding.- Yesterday

I'm not talking about getting on the basket, I'm wondering if you have an obstructed view to put the gun or bomb pipper on the target as you squeeze the trigger or hit the pickle button.- WTF? (**NSFW**)
