  2. That’s what we planned to do too, but the BAH difference between our current assignment and the UPT bases is $1,300-$1,700/month. From my understanding, they just changed things to where you only find out your MWS at drop night now and don’t find out your location until you finish up at the FTU. If that’s the case, they can’t PCS you and then send you to the FTU because you don’t know your final duty station yet. I hope they’re able to accommodate you for IPT locations that make sense!
  3. Even the local Denver News Paper wants Fat Tony canned. A VERY scathing article documenting the downfall of USAFA under his fat thumb. The U.S. Air Force Academy is on the brink of failure, here’s how to save it (Opinion)
  4. I think this is one of the drawbacks with IPT. Currently stationed in San Antonio with a wife and kid and reached out to them asking if I could get San Marcos for IPT. Talked with someone who got picked up last year and they told me that the board was able to accommodate an IPT request for family reasons. Plan on moving them out to the UPT base post IPT and just eating the cost to move the rest of our stuff. Either way it sucks because you have to PCS to a UPT base prior to IPT and then lose BAH at your current location. To me it’s worth it though to keep them in place. I always thought it was a PCS to your FTU unless they changed that?
  5. Just curious… for those with families, what is your plan for the PCS to UPT? If the current syllabus holds through CY26, we’ll PCS to our UPT base, go TDY to IPT for 4-5 months, then back to UPT for 3-4 months in T-6s, then TDY to the FTU for our MWS for 3-6 months. Squeeze a SERE TDY in there for a month too. I don’t want to leave my family behind at our current duty station, but it’s hard to think about moving them across the country to a place where they have no support system in some middle-of-nowhere town when I’ll be gone for 6-12 months of the approximately 18 months we’ll live there. It probably makes more sense if you want to fly something fast and pointy so you’ll spend more time at UPT for T-38s, but I personally don’t have that desire.
  6. I have no problem using the PIT in the right circumstance but sometimes you have to wonder what they are thinking. My wife and I like to watch On Patrol Live and sometimes they will PIT with on coming traffic in the way. Chasing a capital murder suspect ok I can see the urgency in that circumstance. PIT a car with oncoming traffic when the dude simply ran from a traffic stop...not so much. There is a very nasty case from Michigan when a state trooper was chasing a 15 year old kid on a four wheeler, he tazed the hit while he was driving causing him to crash into a parked truck, he died. Even more disturbing (and captured in the video attached), the conduct and comments of responding officers. Some covered their body cameras and other turned them off when they started talking about what happened. In this case the officer was eventually charged with murder.
  7. Right before he's fired, if that even is a possibility, he'll resign, then get hired by a different agency, stating he's never been fired from law enforcement.
  8. There is a middle ground here that should make sense to everyone but it obviously hasn't caught on yet. 200 mile high speed chases that puts everyone on the road in great danger are super dangerous and something needs to be done quickly to prevent that. Don't care what you're running for, if you're running you aren't going to be allowed to put others at risk. PIT'ng someone who you haven't established is actually running (moving up to next exit, clear indicators that you're not going to become an issue) and you move to PIT them, unsat. Some jurisdictions don't even allow pursuit anymore if the person is fleeing. Have watched plenty of videos where the dude will run and cops won't chase or they have to hope the Highway patrol or other police/sheriffs can.
  9. Hopefully enough sunlight is put on LEO entities and they adjust fire accordingly. Do I want a LEO fully trained and qualified to PIT, yes. Do I want them to apply it against only very dangerous types only, yes.
  10. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/texas-police-announce-decision-officer-163638537.html LSS, dude won't be working anymore games and is under review overall. I forgot that venues like this hire LEOs in a part time capacity.

  12. Gotcha. Yeah that's fucking bonkers.
  13. This exact situation was on the Oliver show. Trooper PIT'd a pregnant lady, flipped her minivan over as she was trying to find a good spot to pull over.
  14. Several examples of ASHP hitting their lights, subject vehicle making indications of pulling over (flashers, slowing down, heading to the next exit, NOT RUNNING), and getting PIT'd in under a minute. Policy, training, culture.
  15. So I understand the argument against based on the risk of collateral damage, but from the perspective of the maneuver itself, are there many examples of "unjustified" PIT maneuvers? You're either running from the cops or you're not. That just sounds like the pinnacle of "win stupid prizes." Or are the Arkansas troopers ramming cars 60 seconds after turning on the lights?
  16. John Oliver has a recent episode on police chases. As I watched, I bet myself a beer that he mentions Arkansas St Troopers. Yep. Highest rate of PITs.
  17. pro putin? lol nah just anti-another endless involvement in a bullshit part of the world that no one gives two shits about. ukraine is a corrupt cesspool that shouldn't get one dollar of our money...especially considering china is the much more strategic problem to worry about...AND especially considering we are fucking BROKE as a country.
  18. I'd like to see that exact same interaction happen without a badge to hide behind and no TV cameras... That 'tough guy' would get whooped.
  19. That’s awesome On and on and on, keep on rocking baby till the money’s gone.
  20. Not even a CPO guy, just a line guy who’s clearly the front runner for biggest douche of the airlines 2025 award? I can’t even fathom that.
  21. I have a friend who is a YouTuber who makes nothing but a bunch of woman-hating incel videos. It's not quite like this, because it's literally him reacting to the videos with a soundboard and shit. Last I checked he was making about $40,000 a month doing it putting out a couple videos a day. The hilarious part is that he is an absolute beta in his marriage and is barely manly enough to put together an Ikea couch. But because everything on the internet is fake he has thousands and thousands of lonely men who watch his videos everyday and hold him up as some sort of alpha hero. 🤣😂 He knows it's going to all come crashing down one day, but he's making an absolute killing doing it right now and I have always appreciated a good hustle.
  22. We have some Navy dork at AA who was going around on his own volition and calling MLOA guys to harass them about their leave. Kept doing it until he was threatened by the union to stop or they'd report it to the company. Some guys just aren't happy unless they're unhappy.
  23. You are *way* behind me in line 🤣😂
  24. Can you iamgine how he acts on a traffic stop when no one else is around and no national media looking at you?
  25. Michael "Mike" Hunt was a good dude.
