Reading that article, I’m interested to see what actually occurs. It sounds like Fingers is saying to ID guys that are good tactical leaders and develop that. I think that’s a great idea. I hope that doesn’t translate to the guy who has the best excel skills gets the #1 push like we’ve seen so often.

Looking for advice. I was recently alleged by my campus housing by an r.a. to have alcohol and am not been proven guilty yet. I am currently a freshman and part of afrotc as a non scholarship student how will this affect me and what steps should I take? This will not be put down as a civil offense.

You have two choices. Tell the truth or lie. Both have differing short term and long term results.  You tell us which is the better path to take.... typically contrite people survive their mistakes, the damage from the attempted cover up is always worse.

You'll be fine, just don't fail a PT test.

There is no requirement to self-incriminate.

So when asked the question, "Did you have alcohol?" by an officer in ROTC, how should s/he respond?

In the most Constitutionally-appropriate answer, likely referencing any Amendment between 4 and 6.

Deny, deny, counter-accuse, deny.  This works in any situation whether it be your ROTC CC asking about booze in your room, or your wife asking why you have glitter on your face and smell like vanilla.

Option A. Quit before they kick you out. Drink beer and chase women. Graduate. Join the guard. Profit

Option B. Quit before they kick you out. Drink beer and chase women. Graduate. Get required qualifications and get hired by a airline. Profit.

Option C. Combine A and B.

Why even tell your rotc det if you aren’t on scholarship or conteacted? Wait til you get the outcome then strategize.

I got hauled in by the cops when I was a freshman, told my det cc and he said, “no biggie, I was a F-4 pilot who boozed like crazy and even wilder in college.” And that was it. I was later told that had his predecessor still been around who was Mormon, I would have been booted but I was on scholarship.

You’ll be fine, just analyze your situation, don’t be dumb.

Any of the AETC types on here know what these 19 AF-directed mandatory meetings this week are about?

Standard AFI (Congress) mandated "Professional Relationship" briefing. Why it's not a good idea to bang students and how you're supposed to turn people in even if you hear sixty-ninth hand someone is banging a student.

It'll be riveting, no doubt.

They're having separate meetings for all IPs and all female students/IPs so I doubt that's why

Isn't the Air Force trying to grow it's way out of a pilot shortage?

No, don't get up.  I'll show myself out...

If that’s what’s happening, how difficult is it to not sleep with students? JFC. Just don’t do it! These idiots are going to leave good leaders in their wake because they are jackasses.

I don't know what happened to my previous post, but it has nothing to do with recent or on-going events. Previous events have led to legislative input implemented via AFI and now it doesn't matter what happens or who you are...you get to participate in the discussion. Not much different than the Cyber Awareness Challenge no one can help you escape.

WTF did happen to my last post? Is the meeting being referenced about something different? If so, just say so and the bitch-fest thread can return to its regularly scheduled programming.

You think this is new? It's not called "the Sport of Kings" because it's a new phenomenon.

Has always happened, will always happen. Rules will never trump human nature.

Flight suit booty or Enoids? The correct answer should be AF funded pornhub premium accounts and more CT XC sorties.

Obviously something dumb happened somewhere, but I feel a bit angry about being pulled from my debrief after flying to go have a meeting with all female students to be told that females should not feel like they are being treated differently. So you're idea to accomplish this is to separate them from their male counterparts to tell them this? Even when it means missing an instructional debrief for a flight?

I personally would hope that commissioned officers entrusted with training other officers with flying multi-million dollar airplanes would be mature enough to not put themselves in these types of situations.

If their nature is to get laid and damn the consequences, then invest in that youporn premium and jerk yourself into a stupor. For the love of God, don’t shit where you eat.
