Anyone listen to Dave Smith on Coleman Hughes' podcast? It's loonnnggg (3.5 hours), and I can't understand how Coleman can stand to play nice with one of the most dishonest "pundits" in media right now, but it was fascinating to hear how full of shit Smith is. Despite his ignorance, Smith is a pretty good example of why libertarianism is an unworkable political philosophy and is more of a starting point for American thought. There's definitely too many comedians parading around as political historians and analysts.

Not sure how many of y’all have seen the documentary about John. It’s well worth the watch. He’s always been my favorite comedy actor with Uncle Buck being the pinnacle (filled with heart warming sap at times but plenty of good humor too). He was a big guy but from the movie it appears his heart for others was even bigger. If you have Amazon its available there.

Am I completely losing my mind, or is the “Leaving the Air Force for the Airlines” thread gone? Is big blue trying to squash the exodus by quietly censoring BO.net? We wouldn’t want to allow those still on active duty the resources necessary to make an educated decision about their career paths (that happens during mid-term OPR feedback). What am I missing?

In short - a gentleman purchased a piece of land and wanted to build an 1800' home. The City of El Dorado approved the build but dropped a $23,000 "Traffic" impact fee on him. He fought it all the way to the Supreme Court which rules unanimously in his favor. The California Appeals Court has decided the Supreme Court does not apply to them and reaffirmed their original ruling.

Some back and forth on this questioning if it is real. NY Times, Task and Purpose and ABC all say they confirmed with USSOCOM. Knowing my other veteran friends here in Florida and the number of weapons they keep, seems like a bad place for this plan of action.

Little did we know at the time that the Guadalupe floods in Ingram and Hunt three months would put these same crews to the test, and they (and others) rose to the challenge! I am shocked and saddened to report our friend and longtime forum member Danger41 passed away yesterday after a freak accident. Many of us knew him in real life and it would be an understatement to say he was an American hero. He was an incredible pilot, officer, mentor, weapons officer and a friend to all. More importantly, he was a dedicated husband and father. I had the honor of mentoring him throughout his career and was with him at Nellis the night he put his patch on...there are not enough words to describe how good of a person he was.
