  4. Hey look, SIG is having a sale...https://www.sigsauer.com/
  5. Yup Never gonna happen but the need for a light inexpensive (in airplane money) to operate aircraft capable of the mission demanded by the light attack armed reconnaissance mission has overlap with primary / intermediate military flight training, seems like the AT-6 could have been not just an answer to LAAR but also an evolution over the T-6 without as much disruption to that part of the UPT enterprise. Rugged & reliable for high use rate / repetitive sorties. Benign flight characteristics for student pilots, inexperienced foreign pilots in training but capable of acro / defensive maneuvers for missions. Economical costs in acquisition and sustainment. A simple training sortie would cost as much as much as a complex sortie, in flight hour cost, normalizing over a syllabus. In your intermediate phase of training, it would give you a wider syllabus before you tracked and specialized. Just my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Some back and forth on this questioning if it is real. NY Times, Task and Purpose and ABC all say they confirmed with USSOCOM. Knowing my other veteran friends here in Florida and the number of weapons they keep, seems like a bad place for this plan of action.
  7. Gavin Newsom is not going to make the US any better, look at California. He's bay area royalty. He may not have been to Epstein's rape island, but he's still a shady politician. I'm so tired of only having pieces of human excrement as the choices to "lead" the land of the free. I wouldn't trust Newsom with the popcorn maker.
  8. Did anyone else make it through the Gavin Newsom interview on the Shawn Ryan's podcast? He sounds smooth enough with manipulating stats and talking points that I could envision the DNC getting behind him in 2028. He sounds like a guy who legitimately believes his own press and rhetoric, so a politician through and through. I personally don't think he or Trump are fit to lead, but it was amazing how much love and hate he threw at the current president. Curious to hear thoughts.
  9. Everyone is so quick to embrace the suicide theory, however, I flew a sim session with a pilot who was very confused. He tried to shut off a hydraulic pump on the left side of the overhead panel (757) instead of a Pack, on his side. We chalked it up to the fact that he sucked and didn’t have the best reputation (He was a 63 yr old F/O). A few months later I heard he was medically retired and diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Perhaps this was a similar situation. Obviously a thorough investigation will possibly uncover this.
  10. Well. This is the WTF thread. So...Lord Ratner as the next Democratic nominee? He's demonstrated all the appropriate debating skills.
  11. Wow. That's a 9+30 flight. That's brutal for 2 dudes.
  12. I may be mistaken but I believe only 2 pilots were scheduled; calling into light the shady work rest cycles of some of these airlines.
  13. Don't send dick pics to famous people or don't send dick pics if you're famous? "How you gonna send a bitch some crooked dick pics then threaten her not to tell," Banks wrote alongside the screenshots. "N***a do you know who the fuck I am? This is HARAM... LIke how are you really going to sexually harass me with the potato farmer dick then threaten me not to tell???? Honey..... ain't u trying to be the president of Ireland what is it giving fam? Use some fucking suncreen damn." 🤣😂
  14. Sigh. Alright bud. Enough of this dead horse.
  15. I think the problem stems from how asinine and obvious your debrief of the whole situation is. “Just shut down the engine if you see a guy trying to dive into it.” yeah no shit sherlock, THEY DIDNT SEE HIM It’s like telling the person who just hit a deer on the highway in the middle of the night “hey man hit the brakes earlier next time and you won’t hit a deer” Sick thanks dude, I’ll be sure to see the thing I couldn’t have seen sooner next time
  16. Japan and Italy both got rid of their KC-767s and replaced them with the KC-46 (Italy calls the KC-46 the KC-767B for political reasons). The KC-767 used a window. The Dutch KDC-10s that Omega purchased used a camera system (dunno if Omega retrofitted the cameras with newer ones or used the window).
  17. Doesn't japan also have KC-767s? Do they also use cameras or are they the old reliable boom pod?
  18. Let me help you, again. Are the herc flight manuals in picture book form?
  19. Except you actually saying that.
  20. I wonder why this guy didn't just rent a Piper Arrow and fly all by his lonesome into a mountain?
  21. The one bit of info I'm still curious to hear is where the IRO was throughout this whole sequence.
  22. Reminded me of this.
  23. Copy, no worries. This is the fifth time this scenario has happened that I know of. Japan had this scenario happen 1-2 times with their -46s as well.
  24. Perfect. Yeah i'm not saying the boom pod setup had anything to do with the latest mishap, just more why the fuck they did it in the first place. Thanks.
  25. That's the worst place to be while in contact.
  26. Yesterday
  27. The USAF would’ve had to redesigned the 767-200 empanage, which it couldn’t afford. Also, the aft part narrows and there’s two pallet positions that would’ve been lost. This has less to do either the cameras and more to do with the boom flight control system (FLCS) when the receiver is too far low and in while in contact.
  28. Great! We will be on the south end of Boeing Plaza with you. The Deuce now arrives Sunday ~1230, after a drop in to the Milwaukee Airshow. The guy flying it is from Fond du Lac.
