  11. @arg Right in your backyard... Simply unbelievable...and your sheriff has been mum on the investigation for months even though all charges were dropped.
  12. India recovered a mostly intact PL-15E. I wonder how much NASIC is willing to Venmo India...
  13. Maybe the Clinton “strategy” of every six months sending a few tomahawks at a trouble maker. No American assets at real risk and lets the goat humpers know we’re still watching. With the Houthis we could send a few at a time. I’m not sure what tomahawks are going for now, but def less expensive than F-18s. And putting Navy personnel in harms way, is no bueno.

One of the biggest seen benefits of moving to 5.56 by teams that started doing it was the shatter factor of the round leading to lower over penetration of residential walls. That and the higher degree of idiot proof seen in the AR platforms led to a lot of departments ditching the MP5, which while very sexy is a more expensive and intensive weapon to keep up in an armory. My brother in law is now a deputy chief of police but ran weapons and his departments SWAT team for many years. I was able to train with them a few times and when he first started their officers were carrying the Marlin 9MM carbine modified to accept Glock Magazines. The rationale was officers only had to carry one type of mag for both pistol and rifle. I shot it many times in training and it was able to cycle with no jams. It shot well and was easy to use during transition but my BIL converted the unit to M-4 Carbines because he was worried about stopping power of the 9MM at distance. Still not convinced after watching several videos...dependability is a big issue for me.

No, but if you get one, please let us know. That looks awesome and I want one, although I could see the 9mm not generating enough gas to cycle properly. Have a WWII original, but I generally try not to shoot those guns much, more of the safe queens...

  19. Instead of playing a game of one-upmanship, I went back and re-read all your posts to make sure I didn't misconstruct anything. Some points have merit...your original question was "what's different this time?" is valid for any operation, and in this one, to paraphrase other posts, it's difficult to bomb someone to the stone age when they're already there. However, let me ask what you would do if you were the ultimate decider, to stop the Houthis from sending TBMs & OWA drones into an ally's territory, and were attacking innocent ships of all nations traveling through the BAM? There are three basic options: do nothing, full-scale nuclear war, or something in between. An oppositional attitude can be useful in the planning process...too many yes-men and there's no critical thought developing the plan. You're obviously not a fan of the current COA, so what would you do differently? I'm truly interested.

  21. So about the Keltec PR57... It's kinda great. It's *very* thin, so thin I think it will be more comfortable to carry than my P365X. The 5.7 round has stupidly low recoil, and 21 rounds feels like you are shooting a magic gun with unlimited ammo. It didn't take long to get the hang of the clip loading system, but you do have to live with reloading after every "magazine" since there isn't one... I guess you could buy a bunch of the clips and preload them, then it would only be a few seconds to shove another 20 rounds in. I've only put 150 rounds through it, so it'll take a few more trips to the range to be sure, but for $400 it's a pretty cool gun and quite fun to shoot. I think I'll probably get an optic for it if I decide to carry it. But boy is it ugly 🤣😂
  22. Two things can be true at once. Biden pier = really fucking dumb idea This houthi debacle = also really fucking dumb idea 😂 yeah you might be waiting for that confirmation a while.. Administration: "my fellow Americans, after talks with the houthis we can now confidently confirm our strategy was completely pointless and we are now back to square one."
  23. And Biden spent $230M on his floating pier to Gaza that did jack and shit for the Israel - Hamas war...now you care about money spent? https://www.reuters.com/world/bidens-gaza-pier-injured-far-more-troops-than-previously-known-2025-05-07/ I also see the Houthi statement has been unconfirmed by anyone in the administration...maybe it's true, maybe not. If it true (big IF) then I'd argue the administration has chosen poorly and needs to restart the air campaign against the Houthis if they manage to land another missile in Israel. I also don't believe if they keep shooting at ships, of any nation, that the current POTUS will just sit by and allow it to happen. Again, fuck with us and we'll fuck you up. "Tail between our legs"...sounds like you don't have a super accurate read on the current situation...I stand by my previous posts.
  24. Hope there's a few rungs left on the escalation ladder to nukes, but the Indians did us a solid by removing this shitbag from the earth. Abdul Rauf Azhar killed American reporter Daniel Pearl, and justice has finally been served...wish we had done it, but I'll take it.
  25. Yup, I might be F****d ngl...especially since I thought I had gotten it done last year, but I got a civilian one not a military FC1. I'm trying to figure out how to get the process started as my med group is not helpful at all :,). I really thought board dates were consistant and last year the applications were due on Oct 1st
  26. Some potentially good policy coming out. If he follows through with increasing the top tax rates, that will be a huge win for the vast majority of society. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-urged-speaker-johnson-raise-175235463.html
  27. Quite possibly I wonder if they would use us and a hypothetical F-35 acquisition to get the Russians to give even more on their 35/57/75s
