Love lever guns, never touching anything again outside of bolt removal for better cleaning access. On a separate note for something to laugh at…
  3. It was/is pretty embarrassing. Mine is chambered in .357. Was shooting it out at the range with a buddy of mine, he says “.38 is cheaper, I’ve got some, let’s put that through it.” First round doesn’t make it out of the barrel/just not enough oomph. I take it home and instead of just tapping the bullet out and calling it a day I decide I’m gonna field strip and clean after I’ve put a grand total of maybe 50 rounds through the thing. Random pieces just kept falling out the more I took it apart. YouTube videos weren’t overly helpful. After about the 300th “fuck” or “cocksucker” my wife told me to take a break. I’m probably gonna take it to a gunsmith, I just don’t think I have the patience.
  4. I'm headed back next month for a re-attack. I'm take that under advisement.

  6. FRA is your problem, you want MUC!! I recommend the Sixt rental car desk, the ladies always dress up for Oktoberfest!! 😍😍
  7. Lol. I have a Henry in 44 mag. Fun gun to shoot but the feed ramp can catch some rounds especially if they have sharp edges. Every time I clean it I have YouTube on to help me and I ask myself if buying it in the first place was a good idea.

You poor bastard. I was about to give up and take it to a gunsmith, that’s how bad it was. Feels like new vehicles where you can’t do shit yourself anymore because the dealer is the only one with the special tools, etc.
  10. I'm betting they're trying to strong arm the homeowner not to sue. We'll drop the indictment if you agree not to sue. They have unlimited taxpayer money to come after the homeowner while most average people don't have deep pockets.
  11. That’s how I’m looking at it. More hours!
  12. I guess the extra training and hours can't hurt. Can't complain about free PIC time either
  13. I may or may not have a Henry lever action sitting in pieces in a bag after this exact same experience.
  14. Where did that AETC general go? And what contract does that company have?
  15. Retired 4-star Navy admiral sentenced to 6 years for bribery plot
  16. They truly crazy part, the Grand Prairie Police are seeking an indictment against him. Go to the wrong house, shoot the innocent homeowner who thinks someone is breaking into his house, then charge HIM....seems legit.
  17. I went and shot the Kel-Tec PR-57 again, and... Damn it if it isn't a fun gun to shoot. 5.7 is just a neat little round, even if the ballistics aren't fully tested yet. And between having the longer barrel and the lower recoil, I shoot better with it than the Sig p365, but that's not surprising. And 21 rounds feels like you used the infinite ammo cheat code 🤣😂 ~1 rd/sec @ 10 yards

PSA - If you ever find yourself thinking about disassembling a lever action hammer spring/strut, don’t do it! That’s 10 hrs of my life and at least 1000 variations of FUCK! I’ll never get back.

  21. Not widely reported but Iran ordered approximately 100 J-10C's from China, the first 40 of which have been delivered and they were equipped PL-15. Given how this combination did in the skirmish between Pak and India this is a big chance in the balance of power in the region.
  22. I'm dumfounded for how many out there of certain political persuasions are calling for release of the "evidence" that are clueless that release could compromise sources and methods. Of course, there are those fully aware and call for release anyway knowing it can't be for those very reasons but like to score political points. Not to mention the brave operators out there who make it their mission in life to go do bad things to bad people on a daily basis and their actions never make the media especially if they do their job right. I'm no commercial fisherman but those don't look like any fishing boats I've ever seen. If for no other reason I see no way to store any catch in any meaningful amount let alone no rigging/nets I can see.
  23. What's happening to the active duty individuals who have defied the social media policy of the military in addition to the orders by the SECDEF/POTUS to not denigrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk? I am asking because on X (formerly Twitter), I just saw a third active duty member violate the policy and the orders by the SECDEF. There is a database on these types of individuals and they are being reported to the Pentagon and SECDEF. I opened up my timeline on X. Someone had screen captured a post made by a female MSgt and he sent the jpeg straight to military leadership. He also posted a picture of her in full service dress right beside her post. That post has been viewed 6.5M times! The MSgt has been on active duty for 17 years and said that she's looking forward to retirement in 3 years. She stated that she's not going to argue with anyone about her post. Everyone can essentially argue with their momma.

  26. Thanks. You could have just said that to begin with. My question didn't beget some political lean or stance, it was genuine curiosity because it was uniquely unprecedented. Your response was just a disappointing reaffirmation of why I don't engage in political discussions on the internet since, as we routinely see here on this forum, they primarily consist of both sides making nonsensical, tit-for-tat arguments more often than not. It is all rather banal. I will disagree with you on one point: I think this assassination has been significantly emotional for the majority of the nation. Till next time.
