Reasons to despise cops
More states need to remove qualified immunity like Colorado and New Mexico did. When you see cops resign and leave after a legislation change like that, you know they were the shitty cops.

Probably still fucked that Sgt's life up for a bit. Thats the issue with these dudes, they can be ignorant of the law, make an unlawful arrest and just say whoopsie. Army dude or joe civilian has to deal with getting out of jail (money/time), find a lawyer (money/time), deal with the court system (money/time), and hope sanity prevails.

Reasons to despise cops
I had a cop call me a civilian one time. The amount of alcohol I had consumed affected my answer. Schooled him on who was the civilian and who wasn't. And that cops should'nt call citizens civilians. Kudos to the Army dude, cool, calm, and professional.

Not like a freaking 2-3 inch wide pipe directly in front of the HUD is going to cause field of view problems with pipper placement for weapons employment.

Yes. It's terrible. Everything is spread out. Too much wasted space. There should be one discussion forum, no sub-forums. Get rid of all the pinned topics.

AFSOC is still dropping ACs and MCs but no more U-28s. I don't think the Skyraider training pipeline is fully set up yet so the only drops for those I've seen were all Guard guys. Also haven't seen a C-146 drop in a while so not sure what's happening with those.

I mean, y'all are just throwing soundbites past each other, but the Trump administration's efforts to pull back from Climate Change hysteria has definitely been a positive.

Maybe you should call the White House and tell them that.. they seem to not have gotten the memo. If I recall correctly, 4 days ago (ancient history I know) Trump tweeted “open the fuckin straight you crazy bastards.” A free and open SOH was also a stated goal of the war, and per Trump it is “key condition” of the temporary ceasefire. This seems to contradict your assertion that we can just sit back and let Iran self-immolate by closing the straight as long as they want.. if it’s no skin off our back why is our president ranting about it?- Site update killed the site

Concur The War ZoneA-10 Pilot's Compelling Case For Replacing Warthogs With...An A-10 Weapons Instructor lays out how buying F/A-18E/Fs fits the Air Force's imperatives and keeps the A-10's unique braintrust intact. For an AF variant (if the AF wanted mods), stretch fuselage a bit, add UARSSI to the CFTs, delete wing folding, maybe lighter but still STOL capable gear/airframe, adjust pylons to eliminate stores toeing arrangements- The Next President is...
The court has rightly punched Hegseth in the nose again. Court voids latest Pentagon press restrictions “The curtailment of First Amendment rights is dangerous at any time, and even more so in time of war,” U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman wrote Thursday. “The Constitution demands better. The American public demands better, too.”- Reasons to despise cops

Pooter wrote Not one person in here can explain how we’re in a better strategic position wrt Iran today than we were a month and a half ago. Or a year ago. Or when we had the JCPOA. Iran has more influence, leverage, and credibility right now than at any point I can remember. What are you smoking?- The Iran thread
And I didn't say anything about opening it up. See, everyone is only thinking about one side of this. Iran can close it down and cause the world pain. Us? We'll be fine. We're energy independent. If Iran keeps it closed much longer, they risk alienating themselves further and strangling their partners. So from their perspective, it's not a scalpel which can cause localized pain to the United States. It's a tool of indiscriminate destruction which they can use, but only by causing mass collateral damage to everyone else they hope to win to their side or currently do illicit business with. Or do you think we're going to allow Iran to only "tax" imports to the West? Hmmm. Time is on our side, not Irans. We can easily sit back and let Iran run whatever scheme they want to where it concerns the 40 mile choke point. In turn, we can easily run ours from further afield. Iran can close it. Cool. They can likewise only open it under terms which suit us. That's the bigger picture. I mean even the simplest google search reveals that Iran depends on the straight for more than 90% of their oil exports and import 400,000 barrels (per day) of gasoline - fully half of what they use. So yeah, they're strangling themselves while we can sit back and watch their economy turn to dust.- Yesterday

You’ve said this a lot now, I think you think you’re on to something. Unfortunately you’re not. What was total inflation? Estimated at about 20%. Sounds bad. But how much did the stock market go up under Biden? Oh. 40-55%, depending on index. Shit. Wages rose 19-20%, which resulted in them staying about stagnant in real terms. Home prices rose 20-35% as well, so most gained at historical rates. Ironically, Biden was probably great for moderate to high income people like those on here. Those that didn’t gain bigly are those that don’t have investments. Edit: and of course, inflation corresponds with a reduction in the true value of debt such as the national debt. J pow was how we recovered from COVID like ballers. I agree that later stimuli were bad policy, but they were mitigated by great Fed policy. - The Iran thread
