You mean the Caspian right? I agree with you in principle, but my head spun for a second. Unless you’re thinking of the other war going on over in that hemisphere.

The CAF B-29 will be there again. We're going to be on the Plaza Mon-Wed like last year, and flying in the evening show on Wednesday with Doc again. Even though I'm the Squadron scheduler, right now I'm not on the board to fly the show. Trying to spread the love since I was in last year.

Maybe I have missed it both here and in the various HQ talks... Does anyone know what the plan is for people coming to UPT who have all their ratings? -

They ripped the lid off, now they have to fully finish it. They need an end state like Japan in WW2 - complete demilitarization, confiscation of all war material, etc. Iran cannot have any capability to project power outside its borders. Hopefully this is also a catalyst for the Iranian people to rid themselves of the horrendous regime they’ve been under for the last ~45 years.

There are a lot of videos of Hermes drones loitering over Tehran and other cities. I'd lean more towards supremacy and zero chance Israel is willing to negotiate unless it involves Israelis's being allowed to implode every underground facility in Iran.
-
I'm reading Israel has declared air superiority over Tehran, and reading that Iran wants to negotiate. I'm betting Netanyahu isn't done yet and plans to obliterate all ballistic/nuke/drone/offensive capability that can touch Israel. Iran best reel in its forces attacking anything US before we join in and carpet bomb the place.

Judging by the parking arrangement, I'd venture to guess that those aircraft weren't going anywhere and haven't for a long time but who knows

We should have sent Maverick on a special ops fighter pilot mission to extract at least one of those Tomcats.

Source is usually pretty reliable. Sad end to a beautiful airplane

What do you mean back to!? We still have a large presence there and many of us get to deploy there every couple years

Between manned C2ISR and other tech, manned loses every time (in the context of full war with PRC). “Lose” defined as either literally lost, or mission ineffective. Much easier to succeed with other tech (not to say it’s indestructible, can’t be degraded/denied, etc.) than manned. It’s simply the world/near future we live in, at least in PACOM.

Back to the Middle East we go.

Israeli's got the extended extended warranty on their F-15I's

It'll take about 10 destroyed satellites to make space un-usable.
-
Not saying it is, but space/UAS/other tech are substantially more effective and survivable/easily replaceable than manned C2ISR in a war with the PRC. I’m not even talking about losing people, I’m purely talking about persistent C2ISR capability that manned assets simply cannot provide.

I joined because I wanted to fly in the military, grew up around it, it was all I knew. My route to doing so was certainly a challenge, but I made it in. I've been very lucky to have flown several different aircraft types and flown at every single assignment. When my commitment was up, I was in a good place, doing awesome shit, with legit people. The plan was to keep doing that however someone else's temper-tantrum led to my trajectory drastically changing and sending me to to a flying staff job. Towards the end of that I artfully dodged a huge non-flying staff gig to end my 20 years. I'm wrapping up back were I started, flying 5 days a week, it's great. But I am old, my back hurts, and thus I am ready to move on to the next phase and spend more time with the family. Zero regrets.

After the merciless mocking following their last attempt at propaganda, looks like their pendulum was swung full retard.
