  2. I guess it’s all perspective based then. My entire family (both sides) settled in DC in the late 1800s. All of my aunts and uncles, and my parents, left there in the last 30 years. As did 27/29 cousins. It is nothing like it used to be… Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app

  4. That largely depends on where you live in CO. Douglas County is still alive and well.

  6. Did the general public know of the affairs during those two presidencies, no. Their indiscretions were well known in the media, especially Kennedy, and they were not held to a "higher moral standard." All three presidents were still greatly admired after their affairs became public knowledge. If you don't like the president example (because all three are Democrats I suppose) then let's use MLK. If the public is going to hold someone to a higher morale standard, it's going to be a preacher. However, no one cares he was an adulterer. Back to the original point, the American public doesn't hold someone to a higher bar due to their office/position. All you need to be is popular with a significant portion of the population and any transgressions can easily be forgotten. Speaking of forgotten...the "mentally impaired" portion of my previous quote is the major issue I have with octogenarians being in office...
  7. How are studs getting Altus -135 and -17 drops when the only thing there are the FTUs?
  8. I'd have a quarter chub the entire time I flew, if that was my MWS.

  13. Multiple videos on YouTube of P320s firing without anything touching the trigger. There is definitely a problem. Search "It NDs today." When I first heard of cops suing Sig, I figured it was a blame game to keep from being disciplined over their own stupidity. Now, it looks like at least some of them are legit mechanical malfunctions that resulted in uncommanded discharges. Recommend you unload any P320s and keep them in the safe until more data comes out. That's what I'm doing.

  17. What? Details of their affairs weren't known by the public until years later. > I didn't want a mentally impaired octogenarian in charge. So you're not happy with the...lemme see... 79 yr old in office?

  19. Colorado is the perfect example of previous blue state residents completely destroying what used to be an awesome state. Let it be a crystal clear lesson for everyone in red states who say, “yeah well this is _____, it’ll never happen here/we’re safe.” That’s what everyone said in CO in the 90s; apathy will fuck you over 100% of the time.

surprised and happy Horner was shown the door. I am betting it was a strategic decision by Red Bull to try to keep Max.
  21. for some reason in my community the spoofer name was Jabba the Pig Fucker lol. backfired on someone once and they ended up with it.
  22. I know I'm late in the game on this thread and I found it while doing some research on The Doc after watching some YouTube videos on GO shennanigans. I was stationed at Ramstein from 2001 to 2007 so I lived through the dark times of The Doc's tenure as USAFE/CC. There is so much great information in this thread that I could use the material to write a book on the matter. What I remember most about those days was Airmen working on Combat Proud patrol where they would have to respond to hotline calls. The calls mostly came from Doc himself to inform the poor kids that a wayward Taco Bell cup was last seen on the road to CTS outside the West Gate of RAB and required immediate investigation and disposal. I retired in 2015 after 20 years of service and never in those 20 years have I known of anybody, officer or enlisted, that was more universally loathed than The Doc. I know leadership isn't a popularity contest, however, I think if NOBODY likes you, it should be a good indicator that you are not one of the good ones.
  23. Sadly true. I love that area, and always said it would be the most likely place we'd live if we ever left Texas (which won't happen); but during my last TDYs there it became quite apparent the place was quickly turning blue...
