  4. The “both sides do it” argument in the context of what we’re talking about is lazy, dishonest, and willfully ignorant. Conservatives at scale are absolutely not rioting, looting, vandalizing, threatening people’s lives and livelihood, losing complete emotional control over everything, etc. The left on the other hand has and is continuing to do all of those things at scale. Do I need to list all of the very obvious examples and give you a list of personal experiences, or can you put the ego aside and recognize you’re blatantly wrong on the “both sides do it” bullshit? Of course I’m not saying you can’t point out some ultra right nut job who did something bad, or even point out a few. We also probably agree that politicians by and large are asshats, whether they have a D or R next to their name. But when it comes to at-scale violence, destruction and willful disregard for the law and societal norms, GTFO with this “both sides” bullshit. That doesn’t mean you have to like Trump or identify as an R, but you should acknowledge reality.

It would be great to have a healthy Cuba, and healthy western hemisphere for that matter. I just wish Trump realized that every time he changes his tariff policy, he drops a bomb on US long term economics. It might be working in the short term, but at what cost? I'd appreciate an administration that actually looked at the long game, not just the short game. But again, maybe they are looking at the long game with Cuba and South America...maybe there is some genius in these moves. Thankful that I get to sit back in safety and watch.
  8. Do you view the left and the right with the same critical eye? I also don't like trump. Do you believe the that current Left side leadership is a better? Would Harris have been a better president? Was Biden? Speak in the active space. Stop telling us what sucks and what you stand against. Tell us what you stand FOR.
  9. Is this post inferring that you’re against requiring an ID to vote? If not, what am I missing?
  10. I am not a counterpoint to conservatism, but rather to Trump cheerleader squads. My point to ol B-Bus was that Trump ain't no saint either and has delightfully ended lots of careers, ie, "destroyed" people in govt for doing their jobs. But you read my shit as full blown killing. The right has plenty of bloody hands, from the recent killings of MN-D lawmakers to McVeigh. We can take turns and call out an eviler and their political leanings all day long. So I think we can both agree that all poli-flavors do it and it's wrong. As for Trump, I am disappointed in people and the Republican party for supporting, in my opinion, a dishonorable, draft dodging, lying, stealing, cheating, Epstein butt buddy pedo. You and others may continue your disappointment in me for that view. Stay Pissed. Cheers
  11. Too bad state law doesn’t stop federal law. But this is just a performance for the lemmings, we all know that.
  12. Virginia democrats have proposed a state level bill to prevent ICE from enforcing immigration law within 40 feet of a polling location. Man, I can’t imagine why you’d need to make that law since illegals can’t vote…
  13. Not that there are problems with our voting system.
  14. I was in New Zealand recently and on a whim, I managed to go out and fly a Pacific Aerospace CT/4 trainer. Fairly unknown in the US... I don't believe any are airworthy here. This one was the first of two prototypes, before it went into production in NZ. It was built in 1972. The pilot I flew with was one of the handful of former NZAF A-4K pilots (only 168 total), and is a pretty accomplished warbird pilot. We did some sightseeing, AHC, and light aerobatics. It was "different". Really enjoyed getting to fly a piece of NZ aviation history.
  15. Federalizing elections is right the fuck out. Voter ID requirement should have happened forever ago. Voter rolls are fucked in several states (probably more than we know), so maybe a better fix is to amend the law to be more specific instead of using massively subjective language like “reasonable.” Fed takeover though is absolutely not the fix.

  17. Cuba could turn into the economic powerhouse of the Caribbean. I went to school with a lot of friends that came over during the Mariel Boat Lift....they flooded our schools when it happened. I've talked to many of them over the past few weeks including some who HATE Trump but are cheering what he did in Venezuela and potentially Cuba. Every single one of them can retire in the next few years but all have vowed to go back for a few years to help rebuild. So much potential and people don't realize how big Cuba is (55% the size of Florida).
  18. If the regime collapses, we need to be ready for the inevitable mass exodus, this article does not give much confidence that planning/preparation is underway, I’m more neutral as this scenario I’m sure has been at least researched/simulated but I’d prefer public statements that we are prepared/preparing https://www.forbes.com/sites/craighooper/2026/02/04/with-cuba-on-the-ropes-america-is-unready-for-massive-cuban-exodus/ Just my druthers I’d prefer a proposal to the communist regime for an orderly transition: Safe passage to the Russian Federation with compensation for high level, named government individuals or you can get a cell next to Maduro Amnesty for all other communist regime party and government officials following a truth and reconciliation process US commitment to a ten year economic support and aid program Demobilization of portions of the Cuban military and coordination for a US/Canadian/Spanish stabilization mission Formal processing center on the Cuban mainland for migrants seeking immediate release Diplomatic recognition simultaneously occurring with political & economic reforms, support tied to reasonable milestones. The expulsion of all non Western Hemisphere military, intelligence & non-state security threats/organizations personnel/equipment being the starting point
  19. One of the dudes at Creech just got his dates yesterday. That’s cool the rated manager emailed you directly since you would move next month. Praying I move in March as well!
  20. Not by last name unless they started that recently. I knew a guy who started two months before me with a name at the end of the alphabet. Order or merit might be a thing or it might not but alphabetical probably isn't it.
  21. Last week
  22. Yesterday I had received an email directly from the rated accessions training manager and told me that I would have an RNLTD of March and class start date of April at Laughlin. Nothing officially in my CDB but I was told I should get an assignment notification in by the end of the week. My last name also starts with an A, so alphabetical assignment uploads could be possible.

But not surprising, considering Trump may be a lot of things, but a true politician is not one of them. And true politicians for the most part seem to get very little done.
  24. I do know there are some people that didn’t volunteer for enjjpt that were pretty competitive. So I don’t think that has much weight. Also the Enjjpt pipeline is backed up as well. I know a few people there that waited over a year to start.
  25. To that point my buddy did have an age ETP. Probably wanted to get that dinosaur his wings before he turns into jet fuel.
