  2. That's my assumption. If you look at the video where he runs by, everybody draws their gun and just stands there pointing him in the same direction. They aren't running or moving after him. So I'm wondering if he just ran straight into a closed door or a wall, or just tripped. But I suspect if he had been running down the hall or into other rooms, they would have been in Hot pursuit. They didn't look stunned, other than the initial second or two, they looked like they were all watching him to see what the fuck he was doing.
  3. You did. Also the fantasy land of ONLY shooting them. Hitting everyone else with center mass to vest shots with buckshot because its safer. We're lucky it's currently only the crazies trying to pull this off. Also, how does this guy not have holes in him? Did he just fall to the ground immediately after blasting with his shotty?
  4. Did I read it correctly? Everyone in the administration was a target but Kash Patel?
  5. His 'manifesto' was hilarious in a utopian viewpoint

  7. Did you watch the video? Full sprint with a shot to center mass. Thank God the agent had armor on because that was a hell of a shot. 31 years old. Crazy to think you can be that indoctrinated at such a normally-stable age
  8. Maybe its time to put Trump in a bubble. You know, for his own protection. 😁 Standby for the usual gnashing, blame, and churn on Secret Service, staff, DC LEOs, etc. The dude was stopped tho.
  9. Yeah, I agree with him the radical left is a massive threat. They’ve proven it time and time again at all levels of society - why are you silent on it? By the way, two things can be true; you can ancknowledge all of this while also not liking Trump or his policies.

  11. I wonder how much a type really helps you in landing an airline job. The airline is going to make you go through their entire training program regardless of having a type rating. So, it’s no cost savings to them. It does show you can make it through a training program, but that point is already proven by one’s military career (where training programs are a 1,000 times harder than anything the airlines do).
  12. Well when the dems and their far left followers are constantly inundated with propaganda and rhetoric that dehumanizes (or outright calls for violence against) anyone seen as a political opponent, this is what we will continue to get. I wish those who are otherwise rational humans would see this and stop supporting the cult.
  13. https://time.com/article/2026/04/25/falkland-islands-javier-milei-trump/ The Administration can “review” if they want but they need to state NO change in status via military action by Argentina would be supported.
  14. Normally you’re correct. However, the KC-46 uses 787 glass in the cockpit and at the time I was in the -46 program (2020-2024), pilots were ineligible due to that reason. I don’t know if that changed back to giving them 767 type ratings since I left.
  15. In a way, the AD is already doing that by sending first assignment guys to ANG squadrons. 😁
  16. I must be missing something. If you have time in type and a Form-8, wouldn’t that automatically qualify you for the type from the FAA?
  17. The original KC-46 guys were getting 767 type ratings in Miami. The USAF put an end to that quickly.
  18. Just chiming in as another FY26 select in case it helps anyone out. Here’s my stats. First time applying. AFOQT Pilot: 99 PCSM: 68 PPL: No Flight Hours (at the time of applying I was deployed and couldn’t fly, but have since gotten a few more): 1.2 hours Sqd Ranking: 1 of 1 Wg Ranking: 2 of 2 2x Flt Commander; 1x deployment; worked at the Sqd, Gp, and Wg levels. Always had at least one Sqd quarterly award on each OPR/OPB, and usually tried to have an annual Sqd or quarterly Gp award. My personal statement focused on leadership, adaptability, and experience in the Ops realm even though I was a norated officer at the time. LOR was from my deployed Wing Deputy CC. We worked closely together during the 12 Day War last year in CENTCOM, so he was able to see how I work under extreme stress, ability to learn quickly and adapt (I was filling a Wing level rated position as a healthcare admin officer), and my leadership ability. Ultimately, I think it was my leadership experience that propped up my lower PCSM and lack of flight hours. I’m in the middle of PCSing to Vance now. If you have questions about the application process or IPT, I’m happy to help. Best of luck to everyone applying this year!
  19. Looks like a shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner while Trump was there. No casualties being reported. Gunman in custody. Crazy to me that someone would be able to get a weapon into an event like that, but where there is a will, I guess there is a way. More news coming out now and it looks like the dude just sprinted past a security checkpoint inside the hotel and shot a Secret Service agent (who luckily was wearing a vest) as he blitzed by.
  20. Van Dyke was charged with “unlawful use of confidential government information for personal gain, theft of nonpublic government information, commodities fraud, wire fraud, and making an unlawful monetary transaction.” Semantics aside, my point stands.
  21. This is great data. Thank you! I have been contemplating who/where my LOR should come from and have chatted w/ my Sq/CC about it, but I agree, don't want it to feel generic!

  23. Yes, Trump mentioned the 2001 AUMF. And frankly, the 2001 AUMF does support the current war. In fact, Biden also invoked it to target Iranian groups. I’m not defending the 2001 AUMF, but it is very widely applicable. For those who want the War Powers Act to actually matter again for many potential conflicts, they’ll have to kill the 2001 AUMF.
  24. Valid point It’d probably only be airline like in type jet flown though, with as many pilots as they would have to cycle thru an FY, it would have to move a quick pace methinks. 3 months for type course plus added training. Academics, PTT / FTDs and Sims plus observation rides. 1 month allocated for 10 training flights, I’d keep it pretty simple and all local to knock it out. 1.0, launch to rendezvous nearby with another 320 to a precontact position, hold it for 3 minutes, depart & recover to base, 1 GA or discontinued app, land out of next approach. Swap seats with your training buddy as you’ve been riding jump (another reason this would need to be in the Bus). 3 flights in your syllabus would be as a simulated tanker. 2 months to get 6 trips accomplished. 4 day trips to bounce around the system. 2 student pilots allocated to a trip, team certified after 3 trips, IPs supervise from jump trips 4-6.
  25. Wait. Did I miss that the admin said this was authorized under the AUMF for GWOT? Been head down in a lot of work.
