  1. Meanwhile out back of CVS base ops...

  2. Love watching all social media reactions on Kavanaugh. The most satisfying are the ladies talking about white male privilege interspersed with their discussion of how spinning classes and shopping will take their minds off this horrible injustice while they are supported financially by their white male husbands out doing jobs. 3. Yes they are. One of his favorite lines: "Duck Sausage! How about you duck down and get you some sausage"! Reagan was hands down the greatest pilot, aircraft commander and officer I have ever known. He was in a league of his own. He was also a devout christian, a boxer at the Zoo, married to his high school sweetheart, master diver, foster parent, scout leader, duck hunter extraordinaire who took wounded warriors on hunts, and a weapons officer. The Herk community truly did lose one of it's finest. I will miss him. Some clarification on the news article. He was a current member of the Arkansas Guard.

  6. I'm guessing the dems and movements like #metoo don't have the SA to realize how much damage they've actually done to furthering women in our society. Hire a chick? Fuck that, she might call me out in 10 years for making a joke and I'll get fired. Invite a chick coworker out for beers after work with the guys - hell no, she may try to claim somebody got her drunk so they could take advantage. As a dad I'm saddened my son will have to be wary of every chick he comes in contact with. My daughter will likely lose opportunities because men don't trust her (and why would they not be wary?) This entire circus has set women back in our society.

  7. Lots of generalizations here. At the end of the day you can’t argue with a 40% take rate when the goal is 65%. I argue the take rate should be 75 or higher when you could make the case of flying fighters is the greatest job in the world. Something is probably wrong with the system. From what I’ve seen most of the 38 IPs at my base that talk the most about getting out ASAP are the bomber and cargo guys. 6/9 of the fighter guys want to go back to their original MWS.

  12. As they should (actually should've done it last week - "sorry, you sat on your accusations for months, Sen Feinstein. Denied." Maybe her PRC spy for an aide kept it from her?) But I refer the right honorable gentleman from left field to the stated positions of, to name just a few, Democrat senators who have publicly decided their vote prior to the next installment of the clown show: Hirono - "this isn't a court of law. He isn't presumed innocent." "Men should just shut up and step up." Gillibrand "She shouldn't have to testify in this sham hearing." "Women will die if Kavenaugh is confirmed." Harris Booker (I'm Spartacus) Schumer Haskill. In fact, with the exception of Manchin, whoever the gal from ND is, and, maybe, Donnelly from IN, all of whom are in very tight races, every Democrat has already announced they will vote no. So can we concede that politics works both ways and it's not just those nasty ol' GOP senators? Murkowski from AK is now calling for the FBI to investigate so that will give Flake the cover he needs to give a big middle finger to Trump on his way out the door. Just like McCain did for the repeal of Obamacare (He campaigned hard on doing away with it, then voted to keep it because he was pissed at Trump. So much for country over hard feelings. Good riddance). I hope to see Flake run for President in 2020.

  13. C’mon, everyone knows this cannot be proven or disproven 100% and I don’t think the dems overall objective was ever to really assure he would not get appointed. They are trying to get the emotion going for females into the mid terms by painting the GOP as rich white males who don’t care about women. That’s what makes this whole thing political. If the tables were turned, the dems would be defending their nominee and republicans conjuring up Bill Clinton 2. That’s why this issue is polarized along party lines. The people who think he’s guilty “surprise” have a leftist political agenda. It doesn’t help that in 2018, 96.9% of women fit the definition of an assault or rape survivor but the dems need that victim hood to get people to vote. It’s why they preach to every minority group etc that they are victims of the evil GOP. In reality they are just pawns being used by the dems. I consider myself independent but the dems truly disgust me. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

  15. Where I'm at we finally got a bunch of contract support in the squadron, which really frees up the time of the younger guys. We have WDO / Scheduling / Training and basically a mini CSS again (completely bragging). So I would say the quality of life of first assignment guys is higher, but it doesn't really matter because they are really excited to be in an ops unit and they don't know any different. There is a ton of real world operational experience on this board. AD USAF gives you a lot of opportunities that are not available anywhere else, but also it is highly variable and your results will vary significantly with your peers. The bottom line is that AD has a lot better deals and a lot worse deals than ANG. I think if you're the type of person that wants to fly in combat, you'll probably be drawn to AD - and good on you. The frustration here on the board is because AD could be so much better than it is. It's not that people don't like AD, it's all the surrounding BS that gets in the way.

  16. Well, the age when most people go to UPT is the tail end of that "you can't tell me anything, I've got it all figured out" phase of life. So, I think it hits them twice as hard knowing that not only are they disillusioned, but everyone warned them beforehand and they still didn't listen.

  17. Have a healthy cynicism and keep your eyes open .... but don’t have a chip on your shoulder until you’ve earned it. You may be the unicorn ... the af may do right by you. It might be awesome with great leadership and bountiful opportunities to pursue a life of religious fulfillment all along the way. I’d hate to miss out on it because of the ramblings of bitter assholes on the Internet. (It probably won’t ever happen ... but it could. You could be the one!) (Maybe.) (But probably not.)

  31. I was the one posting about being enlisted army and a doctor, so what? You are not the first person trying to be a A-hole to me.. people don't understand why I do things no one else would.. I've been through army enlisted boot camp and medic training as a doctor and have seen tons of folks trying to mess with me just because - I'm different. If you don't want to answer my question, then fvck off. Nobody's asking you to come here and give me attitude. A proctologist is a doctor too and deserves respect. You did nothing in your life that even comes close to what a doctor does so please don't tell me I should know answers to basic physics questions. Sleeping 2 hours/ night in the call room, never getting 8 hours sleep at once, yet still put a smile on my face and talk to patients in the ER at 3AM answering the most basic questions they pose, sometimes that are seemingly irrelevant and annoying. Been doing that for over 5 years at American hospitals. And here you guys are, coming after me for asking something I don't know. What makes you think you can bitcch at someone? This Airforce pilot job is a break for someone like me. As an AF pilot you sleep uninterrupted, 7 days/wk and are with your gf/wife in the end no matter how late. Even on deployments you sleep unless you're on alert. You have a life that you enjoy. Doctors in America don't. So with all due respect I suggest please mind your own business.

  32. Anyone know where to get the latest and greatest bold face/ops limits and any other memory items required for RIQ? I'm not active duty and not stationed at Randolph so if there's a site to download them from or if you can send them directly to me I'd appreciate it.
