tac airlifter Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Disagree Bif; If the goal is occupying Kashmir, Pakistan for the win. 1
Clark Griswold Posted May 7 Posted May 7 2 IAF losses so far reported, one by PAF and one by Pak GBAD.
raimius Posted May 7 Posted May 7 No real dog in this fight, but with all of Pakistan's hypocrisy and Intel support to terrorist organizations...them taking a few Ls would not sadden me. 3 3
DirkDiggler Posted May 7 Posted May 7 There’s been a lot of false info and dubious claims regarding last night’s incident. That being said, this morning it’s looking like the IAF suffered at least 2-3 losses; all the crashed aircraft appear (for now) to be on the Indian side of the border. The above claim is pretty interesting if true. I didn’t know that China had exported the PL-15. Would give the Pak’s a significant BVR capability; would also explain why all the crash sites are on the Indian side. Tough for the IAF if they were using stand-off weapons inside their airspace and were still getting picked off.

Clark Griswold Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Rafale shot down, might have been a PL-15 https://www.twz.com/air/chinas-pl-15-air-to-air-missile-appears-to-have-been-used-in-combat-for-first-time

Clark Griswold Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Indeed and it was the first Rafale delivered to India. Roger that, the PAF is saying it was J-10s shooting PL-15s that got the killChengdu stock up 20% on the news of itAll of these different conflicts are riffing a bit historically to the Spanish Civil War in the 30s. Surprised / Not surprised it was a Rafale and not a 29 or 30, Rafale is their most capable so it probably went in first on night 1 but it’s got SPECTRA and the French are really good at EW, hopefully something will make it to open source to understandThis will light a fire under them to get 5th gen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
dream big Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Fuck Pakistan and its terrorist sharia state. India all the way. Time for Trump to solidify India as the new Ally in the region, something we should have done decades ago. 3
Clark Griswold Posted May 8 Posted May 8 JF-17 shot down no ejection Sounds like Indian GBADUpdate: 2 Thunders shot down by S-400Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GKinnear Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Hope there's a few rungs left on the escalation ladder to nukes, but the Indians did us a solid by removing this shitbag from the earth. Abdul Rauf Azhar killed American reporter Daniel Pearl, and justice has finally been served...wish we had done it, but I'll take it. 5 2

GKinnear Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Looks like a ceasefire deal was reached...we'll see how long it lasts looking through the X comments from both sides.
Clark Griswold Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Caveat emptor but seems a reasonable summary and theorizing on how the IAF lost a few jetsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
