  • Well, this must be the first time that someone who reads Baseops.net has been the subject of a roiling speculative discussion about some publicly embarrassing, scandalous event that happened to them,

That's a lot of non-availability letters, at least 2 reams for the just the GOs.  Can you imagine the line at the Inn?

I say money/time well spent.  Its about time someone held an open ranks inspection at the GO level.  Then make em do a big beautiful parade.  Then, GO Squid Game.  🤣

Have individuals pass either one of three functional checks:

1) program Havequick II to a network of PRC-152A/163, those in-net pass. No help, no phone a friend.

2) >= pull-ups than SecDef (SecWar) and SecHHS

3) (bonus round, +1 star) build a functional drone operated by G/N/A/J-6 comm complaint standards, then take out someone else's drone with theirs

The Airmen and NCO page is melting down over the new test.  So glad I am retired.

Remember the bicycle test?   That was the air force I joined.   I really never thought I would've seen organized PT and a test with actual running.   2 miles is kinda overkill for 99% of the air force.

Re the generals: I LOVE IT! From 2004 on, they capriciously cut lower ranking personnel with wild abandon. Now that the O-7+ cabal is possibly on the chopping block they’re not liking it one bit. Too bad they can’t RIF the guys responsible for the RIFs, but whatevs: I’ll relish the cull.

Not just for culling the herd of powerful meddling shoe clerks and their acolytes but it is the purge of deep staters.

There are good ones out there but it’s time to just flush their ranks

If this FOGO All Call is just a speech on bullshit, what an epic fucking waste.  That's like a Wing/CC holding everyone hostage at 5pm on a Friday to bitch about sideburns.

For Pete's sake, Pete, if this is all it is, cancel it now before you embarrass yourself/USA.

"A White House official separately told CNN that the meeting is meant to be a show of force, demonstrating what the military looks like under Trump."

PS, it'll cost millions and govt is facing a shutdown situation.  Bravo, Pete.

You're getting pre-angry based on speculation from a yahoo article?  You might be retarded.

No.  And WTF is with the personal attack?  Try harder not to be an asshole.

Facing a shutdown because the Dems want shitloads of tax payer dollars to go to illegals. Has nothing to do with some TDY pocket change.

Oh don't fool yourself, there still won't be any organized PT. Or any time at all during the duty day allotted to PT. This will all be on the individual's free time...as is tradition.

Edit: I also predict no extra money for PT testers even though the amount of tests a year will nearly double...and each test will take longer to administer.

Well, you are getting pre-angry based on a speculative article by a disreputable source.  And I did say "might" while you're calling names.  Valid shot and you're quibbling 🇺🇸

You guys are not looking at the positives of the twice a year PT test. There is no reason to try for a 90/95% since you have to take it twice a year anyways. Min run that shit. The Kool aid drinkers will still try for high scores, so maybe once they're generals they at least won't be fat.

Who remembers the step test?   It was a crowd favorite in the winter because we'd run outside down to some damn cold temps/wind chills.

"Disgruntled Employee"

He did at least have the courtesy to self-identify. He sticks to his brand🤣

Let's see how many flag officers evaporate now that they have to pass the PT test twice a year 🤣😂.

It's so refreshing to have someone in charge of the Department of Murdering Foreigners say out loud that fat people are gross and shouldn't be in the military. Pete just won some points in my book.

Standards for everyone set at the appropriate male-based levels for physically demanding jobs. What a novel concept.

I’m OK with a separate PT test for the non-combat side, but if you’re in a combat job or may see combat because you get attached to a combat unit, you must perform at a higher physical level.

So did anyone get fired from the big meeting? I was told there would be drama...
