Shouldn't we feel bad for these poor immigrants just trying to make a life? And, on top of that, they were robbed!!! Because of all the cash and valuables stored at a daycare...a perfectly normal place to break into.

They just tried to elect a president. If the military doesn't try to assert control, they'll have a leader who is very Western-friendly. With what just happened, I doubt the Venezuelan generals are eager to take over the role of dictator at the moment.

I admit I knew they had a lot of oil just not the sheer size of their reserves. Way I see it is if they get the output up over the next couple years oil prices should stay down and a lot of our problem children overseas like Russia and Iran will feel the pain and have less resources to make trouble.
