What's wrong with the Air Force?

Mr. O6 isn’t wrong, but he and his friends won’t like the outcome of that risk (enter Sua’s example).

Eh, it'll be the problem of the Sq/CC, DO, IPs, and eventually the loves ones of the pilots that don't receive the training required by an ever watered down syllabus.

Hasn't passing the buck been a consistent problem for the pointy nose folks for several years running? What could possibly go wrong?

I think you mean the AF as a whole or the US in general.

Valid. I've seen the other side of the coin in AFSOC where they moved too much iron to the RTU. Syllabus events are rarely waived and most studs come out (sts), full up rounds.

I can't believe we continue to use terms like "buy risk" for things that cost us blood.

The MAF wins DG in that discipline.

Air Force rescinding 135 promotions after test scoring error: 'This is going to be hard' (STS)

The Air Force on Monday acknowledged a human error involving an outdated test answer key corrupted this year's technical sergeant selection process, forcing officials to revoke 135 promotions and award those slots to other troops who rightfully earned them.

The error affected only the service's security forces career field, where officials rescored all 2,285 eligible airmen after discovering an outdated scoring key had been used on the Specialty Knowledge Test...

(Full article at title link)

So using an outdated scoring key they security forces actually scored HIGHER...dear god that's epic!

fat tony and slife should have been fired LONG ago. the damage they caused is immense.

Our Generals Are Not Even Good at Tactics: A Hard-Hitting...

Until we do, our generals will continue to fail us — not because they lack technology or tactical drills, but because the system that produces them was designed for a different war and century.

Not 100% on board with the author’s assertions on the current state of the GO ranks / Officer selection and career path planning, he’s probably 2/3rds right but worthy points.

Mini was only respected by slick Herk dudes. This is also the same idiot who took tail flashes off active-duty AMC aircraft because apparently China doesn't use ADS-B and stopped the use of static callsigns for homestation training sorties. He's also the guy who greenlighted a one-pilot KC-46 flight. The same aircraft that has numerous CAT-I deficiencies. Removing tail flashes and not holding Boeing to the fire over the KC-46 is not really the future threat (China) planning that he liked to yap about.

The random callsign generator for stateside ops is the dumbest shit

[On the phone with the tanker unit]

“Cool we’ll see you guys at AR6969 CT1500z, what’s your callsign?”

“Oh we don’t get our callsign until step”

“Well our step is before yours so I guess we’ll just show up to the track and hope we have the right guys 🤷🏻‍♂️

The other stupid shit of going out to a ramp of 60 KC-135s and instead of looking at a tail number for the right jet, I guess just spend time to look at every jet’s forms until you get to the right one?

I guess Mini didn’t realize that if the CAF wasn’t doing his dumb ass tail number and callsign shit, the MAF probably didn’t need to either.
